I was anxious to try this place after hearing great reviews. We were both disappointed in the choice of toppings but perhaps they would prefer to encourage their specialties. We did get the Queen Bee, minus the black olives and added garlic paste. The crust reminded me of Pizza Hut Pan. The sauce was good and plenty of it but I would have preferred more of the toppings. I didn't notice the garlic nor the bacon. The service was okay but you order at the counter. There are a couple of tiny two topper tables so it appears they prefer you take out, which we did. I don't think there's much about Izzy's that I can say in this review that hasn't been said already...but I guess I can give it a try. I will start by saying, I do not love pizza. Sure, I'll eat it. Sure, it's good - but rarely do I ever feel myself craving a nice pie. But then I met Izzy's. My first bite spoke to me, and it said one thing......GARLIC! Holy lord, garlic. If you don't love garlic, this might not be your spot....but if you do? PLEASE GO EAT HERE. Overall, T&T where Izzy's is currently located is an amazing concept too, and truthfully I think we should convert all Sonic's everywhere into a food truck haven (and bar). OK, let's get this out of the way... Does the pizza bus live up to the hype? YES! After A couple fall started so I was able to finally pre-order some pies and drive myself out to Bearded Brewer's (another spot I love!) last night to pick up. The pizzas were ready exactly at the designated pick up time and we're delicious right out of the box as soon as they were relatively not scolding enough to eat... And at home, and reheated again for breakfast this morning. And lunch. (I may have over-ordered). But would I do it all again in the exact same way? YES! We had the Miss Mona, the Pepperoni Pizza, and the Red Harvest Pizza. Now that I think about it the only thing I would maybe do differently is order different pizzas because I'm sure they are all equally amazing! crispy crust that's just burnt enough... tasty toppings with all the flavors, and a nice chewy dough. Came all the way from Jersey to try Izzy's Pizza. We had the Red Harvest Pie and it was DELICIOUS! There is a mix of sweetness from the honey, but tartness and crunch from the tomatoes & peppers, combined with real pepperoni and small spots of ricotta, this Pizza was a 10/10! There is a cute patio area in the back to eat, if you want to be outside or 3 small tables inside. Specifically went to try Izzy's while they were stationed at Bearded Brewing. Izzy's was recommended by a family member of mine. I don't normally do Detroit style pizza, but after looking at photos of their pizza it's something that looked very promising as it looked like it's done in a pan style with the pleasing burnt edges. They were busy, and my party had a big order, so rightfully it took a longer time to wait. Tried the supreme and it was fantastic. The large four slices can be filling for some people, but I could have essentially had two of their pizzas. The way they make their dough and bake it is just perfect. Light and airy. And done in that "pan style" makes me want to have more of their pizzas. Looking forward to going back to try more varieties. read more

Izzy's Pizza Bus has the best pizza in Omaha! I live in Sioux Falls, SD. It is a must for me when we visit family in Omaha to get Izzy's Pizza. We have always caught up with the bus @ Trucks and Taps, but I expect one of these times we have to go check out the restaurant. Either way you will be happy I am sure. Izzy's is legit Detroit style pizza! I've been seeing Izzy's all over Instagram and hearing how good it is from friends. I finally tried it and it lived up to the hype. I opted to preorder my pizzas using the link in their Instagram bio. It was really easy to do. I love that they offer preorders, but limit the number so that walk-ups can get pizza too. Follow them on Instagram to find where the bus will be. Shortly before my pickup time I received a text to let me know that my pizza was on track for my scheduled pickup time. One of the guys was kind enough to carry my pizzas to my car since I had my toddler with me. The Red Harvest and Sausage pizzas were both so delicious. Each pizza has four square slices. My favorite part was the flavorful, buttery, crispy crust. The Red Harvest has red sauce, pepperoni, bacon, peppadew peppers, cheese, garlic ricotta, and honey. This was as tasty as it sounds. The ingredients on both pizzas tasted fresh. I savored each bite of delicious pizza. Next time I'm going to get a cheese pizza as one of my picks so that I can enjoy the crust flavor fully. The bus known as "Vincent" was converted from a public school bus taking kids from Seattle to and from school into an incredible pizza making machine. The owner named the business after his daughter Izzy! Love that fact. Izzy's pops up all over town and you need to follow them on Instagram or FB to find them. Once they post their location, online ordering is available. Once you submit your order, Izzy's will confirm and let you know exactly when your pizza will be ready. Jump in your car and drive to their location. Last nights location was in a Summerlin neighborhood so you never know where they will be. Once you arrive, grab your pizza, give thanks to the Pizza Gods that these guys are and start chowing. Now let's talk about the pizza. The dough they use is cold fermented for four days. Wow!! The tomatoes used are from California and the cheese is from.....wait for it....Wisconsin home of the cheeseheads! From the first bite to the last, this epic pizza is phenomenal! The sauce is so juicy, and the seasonings used are pizza perfection. The crust had the right amount of chew and texture. The brick cheese, mozzarella and pepperonis were truly the icing on this pie. We devoured our pepperoni pizza in under ten minutes. It left us ready to order another pie. I'm from Chicago and like people from every big city, they love the food they grew up with. Detroit, even though I've been there a few times, I still say Chicago pizza rocks. HOWEVER, your Detroit style pizza to me is AMAZING. Your deep dish is different then Chicago style and your pizza is the most amazing pizza I've had. You've even expanded to meatball sandwiches and Italian Beefs. So let's talk about that for a minute. The meatball sandwich was amazing. It was a good hearty sandwich with meatballs and sauce that is addicting. When I saw you advertise Italian beef, I just had to try two. One for the last night and another for today just to make sure I'm tasting the goodness you are providing. The au jus was OFF THE HOOK. Best au jus I've had with an Italian beef. The meat was amazing, the hot giardiniera was good and the sandwich was definitely a good hearty sandwich. I actually liked it better then most Chicago places out here. Let's get back to the pizza. In a restaurant, they will tell you that a deep dish pizza takes 25-45 minutes and they have 3 times the oven space you have. Since everything is made to order, once your oven is full, you have to wait like everyone else before preparing the next order. You can't prepare the pizza with toppings ahead of time and let them sit out waiting to go in the oven. Also, PEOPLE, this is a short school bus so there is not enough room for more oven space. That should be your first clue this may take a little longer especially when you see a line around a building of people waiting to order. If you are too hungry to wait a longer then normal time for their AMAZING food, get some snacks before you order to hold you over. I PROMISE, the wait is worth the pizza. These folks do not cut corners, they go as fast as they can AND as fast as their oven will allow them to get pizzas cooked and served. You want fresh healthy food, in a small bus with a line as long as they have, it will take longer then normal. If they give you an estimated time, understand it's an estimate only. Over 100 pizzas served in the amount of space they have is nothing short of unbelievable. If you think your pizza is taking longer then they promised or you expected, get a health card and spend an evening with them so you will see how hard they work and what they have to deal with; and by the way your time will maybe be compensated with a pizza but that's up to these folks. They go non stop from the moment they open until they run out of food. People who love these guys and follow them know the wait is worth it. Go to any fair with food trucks and you will wait. I went to the Bullring and a corn dog took 10 minutes, not because they wanted me to wait, but because they had other orders to cook. SAME HERE FOLKS...they are not waiting on you, they are waiting on the perfection that comes out of their oven with top notch ingredients. They don't cut corners on ingredients by buying cheap stuff, their ingredients is higher quality then what you will find at most pizza places. If you're looking for a 5 minute pizza with par ingredients, go to Little Caesar's otherwise, change your panties and relax, the pizza is worth the wait. read more

Dude. So sorry you have to deal with these type of people that don't understand the process of making a good pizza. Khourys was packed last night. I don't think I've seen it that packed before. This isn't Little Caesar's pizza. This is quality pizza made from scratch. You can only fit so many pizzas at a time into an oven. And to try and increase production just isn't possible in a food truck/bus. Making 120 pizzas in 2 hours is unheard of. You do the math. That's 1 pizza every minute. For a pizza that takes 15-20 minutes to cook being that is a thick Chicago style pizza. Here's a similar situation- I have a go to brick and motor pizza spot I frequent every Friday night. I know on Friday they are swamped busy. The wait can be anywhere from 45min to a 2 hour wait for their pizza. So I alway plan accordingly if I want to eat at 6. I'll call at 445 and place my order. Now with Izzy's no you can't call ahead. But you can go to where ever they are posted up cooking and have a great beer or conversation while you wait for your food. Last night the place was hopping. People sitting at EVERY table. Enjoying themself while waiting for great food to go with their drinks. People need to chill. It sucks that Brett and Izzy's will be leaving in a month. But at this point I don't blame them for wanting to leave with some of these ungrateful asshats. You can't rush quality and perfection. But you sure can enjoy the quality and perfection that is Izzy's Pizza Bus I wish Yelp let others respond to the BS reviews. Brett. You and your crew are amazing and hard working. On a cold and drizzly winter weekend a couple of years ago, we randomly stopped at Taps and Trucks for dinner. On a whim, I tried a pizza from Izzy's Pizza Bus and was absolutely blown away. Hands down, the absolute best pizza - not just in Omaha - but ever. And we are pizza lovers. There is absolute magic in that crust. Since then, Izzy's has opened a place just off of 24th and Howard - mainly for take-out. But I'm super excited to hear the plan for this summer includes Izzy's Pizza Bus dates in west Omaha. The owner continues to try new ideas and perfect what is already the perfect pizza. If you haven't tried it, it is a MUST for all pizza lovers. My friends were probably asking "Izzy really going to order more food after we ate all of that?" Izzy's Pizza Bus is a food truck built into exactly the sort of vehicle advertised, and they actually have quite an Instagram following for being so quiet on Yelp. Their Instagram suggests that they've been up and running for about a month, so this was obviously their first appearance at the annual Sunset Park'd event today. Aside from their boast of scratch-made, 3 day-fermented dough, their web site looks largely unfinished. Fortunately, their products certainly are ready for primetime. I'd already filled up my stomach during the event, but Izzy's still sounded intriguing. They were slinging Detroit-style pizzas all day, as evidenced by the stacks of the ubiquitous metal pans of the Detroit style. I'm not sure if they had to bake off a whole new pan to get my order of just one pepperoni slice ($5) ready, but the piece presented on my plate was, for lack of a better word, perfect. I loved the shatteringly crispy cheese on the crust (every piece is a corner piece here) along with gooey cheese in the middle and nicely chewy dough. The "roni cup" pepperoni pieces were delicious and had a balance of crispyness and chewyness. The tomato sauce on top actually helped to lighten the load just enough. Frankly, the only problem was that my slice disappeared too quickly into my mouth, and in case I wasn't clear earlier, this happened when I was already almost full. I'll be looking out for Izzy's Pizza Bus now because they're my new favorite local food truck. We are super late for this bus. It was only a few days ago that my friend told me about Izzy's Pizza Bus and how delectable their Detroit Pizza is. Although it's not new, it's new to me, and I'm glad that we gave them a try because the pizza is definitely a winner. The bus travels to different parts of Vegas so you need to check their schedule on their Instagram page or their website. Lucky for us they were in our neck of the woods last night. The ordering process is simple: the website starts accepting orders either the night before or the morning of the date the bus will be serving pies. I placed our pizza order around 10am for later the same night. You can select an available pick up time that's most convenient for you and pay online. I'm told this pizza will sell out so pre-order is the best way to guarantee you get yours. You receive a text stating that your order is received and then updates when your pizza is started and then when it's ready. We went to the park where the pizza bus was parked for the night and waited for our pizzas to be finished along with a few other customers. Brett, the owner, informed us that the bus is named for his daughter. The delicious smells of fresh pizza being baked wafted from the bus, a bit tortuous since we were starving. By the time we got our orders home, we wasted no time in devouring them. My husband got the Vanilla Ice White Pizza with pepperoni added while I had the Krinkle Pepperoni pizza with garlic ricotta added-- wonderful! Each pizza is 8x10 and cut into 4 slices so one person can easily finish an order alone. The thick crust was perfect and the edges had a terrific crispness. If you've never tried them, I highly recommend you do it soon since Brett and his family just sold their house, bought an RV, and are leaving town next month to hit the road. No word on if they're returning anytime soon so don't miss this bus while it's still here. read more

One of the best place to get pizza in Las Vegas. Their crust on the pizza I got is awesome. They do Detroit style pan. It was extremely crispy without being rock hard, not greasy, or overly chewy. All the toppings were on point; the pepperoni was crispy; the tomato sauce was flavorful, plenty of cheese on the pizza and caramelized cheese on the crust and edges; the hot honey and ricotta gave a nice "cut" in flavor against all the richness of the pepperoni, bacon, and sausage on the pizza. Every bite had a different combination of flavors and textures. Eating the pizza was almost a "experience". Speaking of sausage, that topping isn't normally on the pizza I ordered, the Red Harvest. Which is another strong point to this operation; they allow and encourage customization of their pizzas. They recommended ordering split toppings pizzas and will add toppings that aren't normally listed, just ask. I wish they operated more days during the week, they make a excellent product. read more

IZZY!!! I love Izzy! We've been fortunate enough to enjoy her pizza twice now - when they were at my daughter's dance studio and most recently, at the Smiths in Skye Canyon. So I'm not expert when it comes to detroit pizzas (well pizzas in general) but Izzy's pizza is delicious! The nice crunch from the cheese on the crust and the softness of the dough made a great combination. A whole pizza comes with 4 slices. Now don't be deterred by that. When the husband and I first saw it, the first thing that came to our mind was, "oh that won't fill us up." But boy were we wrong. After devouring 1 1/2 slices, we were stuffed. Surprisingly though, we didn't have that heavy filling like "ugh I ate too much I wanna die feeling." It was just enough. I also got my two boys a whole pizza as well (who by the way can eat everything in site) and they were full before eating the entire pie.
