PB and Chocolate Acai bowl.. delicious!
Jonathan A.

Second time here and man do they not disappoint. Their Acai bowls are loaded with fresh fruit and real granola and peanut butter. Love the toppings and the massive portions. Worth every penny and super fast service. Gonna come here every time I'm in town.

Daydream (blue) + slim & sassy (pink)

Stopped into Jügo Wellness and tried two of their smoothies: the Daydream and Slim & Sassy. First thing I noticed: these drinks are thick. The Daydream especially was on another level I've not encountered before - you really had to put in some effort with the straw to get it going, and it stayed thick the whole time (didn't really melt down much). The Slim & Sassy was closer to a "regular smoothie" texture, just thicker, and that one did melt eventually so we were able to finish it more easily. Flavor-wise, both were actually really good! They ask up front "are you ok with everything in it?" which made me a little cautious, but nothing tasted strange or off. Everything blended well, tasted natural, and leaned more toward a "meal replacement" vibe. Definitely filling and rich, not a light fruity smoothie you sip in a few minutes. The interior is bright and clean, with a cute display of products like sage, candles, and room fragrances that tie in nicely with the health-centric, holistic vibe. Service was friendly; they asked if we had any questions, and everything was made fresh to order. Overall, a solid spot if you're looking for nutrient-dense, wellness-focused drinks that double as a meal.

Overpriced for a mediocre smoothie. Range starts at $13-15 and there is for $31... for a smoothie I got the Rosa something, honestly wanted to finish it because I paid so much money--but it didn't taste all that great. Left it halfway melting.

Jugo offers a wide variety of smoothies, coffee, matcha, juices, and bowls. They carry many wellness products such as functional foods. Functional ingredients can be added to the smoothies, etc. as well. If you're seeking an Erewhon-style smoothie, you can likely get it here. I tried a Chocolate PB acai bowl ($21). I am glad I split this with my family member because it was very filling as a half portion. Eating a bowl by myself would be too much. The ingredients were tasty and the bowl was well-made. Service was very friendly. The ambiance is comfortable, and they have seating inside and outside.

Popped in to try one of their drinks, this was my first time in. I chose the LA girl which is ceremonial grade matcha, banana, dates, almond butter, spinach, flaxseed, vanilla plant protein, and coconut water. It was a good thick smoothie- I felt like the banana, dates and almond butter flavor were the strongest. There wasn't anyone inside, so service was quick.

I love this place! Everything is so healthy and delicious. My favorite smoothie is the LA girl and my kids love the açaí bowls. The staff is friendly and nice. Excellent service every time :) Parking is easy

Pretty pricey (about $20 for a smoothie!), but YOLO, right? To be fair, the smoothie is truly a meal replacement - it is very filling, and sated my hunger for most of the rest of the day. I got the "Daydream" - Banana, avocado, pineapple, coconut cream, plant protein, almond butter, flaxseeds, kava root, maple syrup, E3 algae, coconut milk - though the server accidentally made the wrong drink for me (he misheard me because there is another drink called "DateMe" which sounds very close, especially in a place with noisy juicers and blenders going. The owners of this should consider changing a name so they don't sound so similar.) This ended up being the most thick and heavy-duty smoothie I've ever had... pretty tasty, though. I'm curious to know the nutrition information (specifically fat, sugar, protein, and total calories.)

I'm on the hunt for the best acai and Jugo didn't disappoint. I ordered a large Bonsai Bowl and it was a substantial size with heavy toppings! There was a lot of fruit and it was delicious. They charged for gf granola, but they have complementary flakes, honey and agave. The acai is a blended mix (not sure what's in it), but it's good. I would come back when I'm in the area. The shop is cute, modern, but welcoming. There's outdoor patio seating, along with an indoor table and bar seating. They sell some really good smelling candles! If you sign up for their member list, you get 15% off your first order, then you accumulate points for other purchases for free items/discounts.

Slim and sassy

A Wellness Pit Stop That Delivers 1. Ambience: Bright, welcoming space with that healthy feel and plenty of seating inside and outside. Very nice on a warm day. Very relaxing 2. Menu & Customization: Awesome lineup of smoothies, juices, bowls, and light bites. You can customize everything which is nice as most places have become so stringent. 3. Flavor & Texture: The Pink Panther smoothie was lush, balanced, delicious, organically natural and colorful. Erewhon has nothing on Jugo . The acai bowls are generously portioned, basically huge. The açaí is made fresh. 4. Service: The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, and foodies. So you tell them your likes and they'll make their bowls Ultra Delicious. 5. Value: Sizable portions with quality ingredients; recyclable/compostable if that's your thing. 6. Verdict: Perfect for a pre workout. post-workout recharge, a healthy breakfast, lunch or early dinner. Will definitely return.

This is my new favorite spot! I came in to get an LA Girl after pickle ball and was able to split it in two. It was nice to get it split so I could have room for dinner and the smoothie was able to hold us over because there was protein powder in it. I added coconut cream but it comes with matcha green tea, banana, dates, almond butter, spinach, flaxseeds, vanilla plant protein, coconut milk - so good! I will be coming in at least once a week or whenever I workout for a reward.

Of course,…read morewe want good quality ingredients in our food, and prepared options from the prepared soup/chili bar are no exception. $7.99 a pound for soups seems a bit steep though. Am I not being realistic? Lately I've been having some health challenges, including dental ones. Dear Hubby is trying to keep up with my need for soft foods, but also nutritious ones. This is going to be going on for several weeks, so on his way home from physical therapy, he's been stopping at Gelson's to pick up soup for me. First he went to the Westlake Village location, and several days later, to the Thousand Oaks store. This time he brought me the albondigas soup. I preferred it to the veggie chili from Westlake. The Mexican-style meatball soup was filled with tender, flavorful meatballs, complemented by an assortment of vegetables. I was so hungry that I ate the whole container, where I might have stopped with half. Turns out that soup, while often delicious, isn't quite as filling as other kinds of meals. I'm not quite up to making a big batch myself, but I ordered some other prepared soup options, which we can add some fresh ingredients to the base. Mixing up that option with occasional re-visits to the soup/chili bar at Gelson's seems like a good way to keep my tastebuds happy, while also controlling the budget.

They do a great job of maintaining the store and I love their large parking area. Super easy to get in and out. The staff here are consistently nice and it's a welcoming store. I love this store for the bakery section. It's supreme and they really have the best cakes and cookies. Definitely A+ in that department. Of course they also have a nice meat counter and got to love a poke stand, even if it's on the pricier side. Overall docking a star because the prices are not a value/bargain here. For their premium items I totally get it but to pay an extra $3-5 on name brand items like sodas or pet food simply because your buying it at Gelsons keeps me from coming as much as I should. Groceries are already pricey enough that I don't need to spend more just to spend more. Overall I really like this grocery store and will always be back for their specialty items when I'm on this side of town.

He brought home a wrapped piece of cornbread, a pound container of vegetable chili, and a tiny lemon bar slice. For $15. What?! He reported that service was good. And the presentation for the little lemon bar in a fancy bakery box was lovely. My sticker shock had me questioning take out as a concept. Their soups are priced at $7.99 a pound, which seems on the high side. The soup was tasty, if a bit spicier than I expected. I did enjoy the beans included with the vegetables for added body and flavor. For me, the cornbread was too dry and flaky to be fully enjoyable. That was the least favorite of the items for my eating experience. Crumbs were flying everywhere as I tried to eat it. The lemon bar was overly petite for $5, in my humble opinion. It was very tasty, and not too sweet. The texture was on the dense side. My preference is a little lighter & fluffier. Overall, I appreciated that DH was searching for softer items I could eat while going through my dental issues. Where's the shark?…read more That's the first thing I think every time I walk into this Trader Joe's. For years, the store hosted a game for kids by hiding a toy shark, along with several other stuffed animals, somewhere in the aisles or on top of a refrigerator. Children who found the shark won a small prize. My kids were always excited to search for it. I secretly wanted to join the hunt myself, but unfortunately, there were no prizes for adults--except for some tasty samples, which my kids enjoyed just as much as the shark game. The shark and the food samples may have been the main attraction for my family, but this neighborhood store has everything else covered. Whether you need fresh produce, milk, frozen meals, or one of Trader Joe's seasonal favorites, the shelves are consistently well stocked. The store is clean, thoughtfully decorated throughout the year, and staffed by friendly employees who can quickly track down that elusive sauce or your favorite snack. More recently, Trader Joe's reusable tote bags have developed a cult following, especially overseas. The Wall Street Journal even covered their worldwide popularity. New bag designs often sell out within days, with some appearing on eBay for several times their original price. Whether your kids want to hunt for the hidden shark, you're stopping in for dinner ingredients, or you're hoping to score the latest collectible tote bag, this Trader Joe's offers a shopping experience that's a little more fun than your average grocery store.

When I arrived, I was greeted and waited to place my order. An employee suggested that I use one of the kiosks instead. I noticed several customers waiting to order, so I decided to place my order directly through the Ubatuba website on my phone while inside the restaurant. After ordering, I waited quite a while. During that time, I noticed customers who had arrived after me receiving their orders first. Eventually, I heard my name called, went to pick up the order, and returned to my car. Once I got to my car, I realized the bowl I had received was not my order. I immediately returned to the restaurant to let the staff know. The employee took the bowl, threw it away, and said, "Yeah, I know you took her order. Next time listen for your name." I found that comment both unfair and unprofessional. This was clearly an honest mistake. I genuinely believed I had heard my name called. If I had intentionally taken someone else's order, I certainly would not have returned to correct the mistake. The employee then told me that I had placed my order through DoorDash and that my order was separated from the others. This was confusing because I did not place my order through DoorDash; I ordered directly through the Ubatuba website. If the company uses a third-party system behind the scenes, that is not something customers are made aware of during the ordering process. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What was disappointing was not the mix-up itself, but the way the situation was handled. A simple explanation or a courteous response would have gone a long way. Instead, I was made to feel as though I had done something wrong when I was trying to correct an honest mistake. I have always enjoyed Ubatuba and have had positive experiences in the past, which is why this interaction stood out. I hope situations like this are handled so future customers are treated with more professionalism and respect.
