Great little place which sells local raised beef. The decor is very fresh and appealing. Now for the good stuff. Had the filet (to me a little pricey) man the flavor was outstanding and cooked to perfection. I have my steaks medium rare and the juices in the steak was very savory. I always keep Worcestershire sauce if needed. Never cracked the seal . Potato and green beans/bacon were good. The beans tasted a little home grown. The staff for being short staffed did a wonderful job. Keep the drinks full and checked on you regularly. They have ice cream and boy did I want some but was way too full. Great job read more

I was just kicked out and banned from J & B Meat Market because I said my steak wasn't cooked right...twice! The manager (Jeff Klippert) started arguing with me and my daughter in front of the entire restaurant with people waiting in line and yelling saying "Do you own a restaurant?!" He said "get outta here and never to come back!" How embarrassing for me and my youngest daughter to be treated this way and made to be a spectacle! I never once raised my voice, made any rude remarks or caused a scene! Jeff Klippert was the one who got loud, argued with me and was absolutely out of line! What a horrible and again embarrassing situation to be put in with my daughter!!! I have been in management positions and in the food service industry and I would NEVER treat a customer the way I and my daughter were treated tonight! SHAME ON YOU J & B!!! read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. Yes. It's a meat market. Where better to get fresh Prime meat for your menu? Service is from the family that owns it, and is small town friendly. New location done barn chic and inviting. Definitely worth driving a couple miles off the highway. The food. Next time I'm ordering a double meat ribeye steak sandwich. Stopped by for lunch on our way back from Colorado... great choice! The joint is a cute little spot right off of I-70, super convenient. Parking was ample, easy to find a spot and get in. Meat selection was wow. Seriously, this place has it all. A vast glass cabinet full of delicious meats, fairly priced and ready to go home with you today! So very impressed. Their food menu was vast and also quite amazing. Everything from burgers to chicken strips... it's the perfect lunch joint to grab an amazing bite to eat... not to mention, their milkshakes are delish and made right in front of you! I love this place and eat there every time I'm in Colby. Their pork cutlet is so much larger than the bun that it looks like a cartoon. I order it without the bun and dig in. J&B Meat Market has moved its location to 1615 West 4th. It was easy to locate. They've expanded their evening menu which is a delight. They now offer hand cut steaks that are to die for. Honesty, not the best. My family and I stopped by on our way to CO and needed something semi-fast and tasty. I think there were only 3 people working, one cook and two waitresses. One of the waitresses was not friendly, never smiled, and was just blah. The other was... decent. We were excited to try this little place but after waiting for anyone to even acknowledge that we walked in to seat us, or waiting 35-40 minutes for our food, I will most likely not be returning. Oh, and... we arrived about 10-15 minutes before a party of 8... who received their food long before us. The whole thing just pissed me off honestly. The food was fine, but the rest of the experience.... uhhh. Good thing my family and I get along enough to fill the long wait for our food with conversations, or else I'm not sure how much longer I would've been able to wait. read more
