What a great little place. We were traveling thru and had a tire blowout at night a few miles east on I-70. We ended up staying in Oakley because of the time we spent fixing it. Anyhow, super friendly folks and great food. I had a burrito which was awesome. 3x the size of a fast food one. The iced mocha I had was also really tasty. The donut smell in the place is obnoxiously delicious and they were also really good. Definitely a great spot. Get there early though, they sell out! read more

Wow the drip coffee is really really good here. It's Boyer's from Denver, CO. Smooth and not too bitter. I wish they would sell the grounds/beans because I definitely would have bought them. My husband and I each had a breakfast croissant sandwich which was warmed up and delicious. There's sufficient seating inside and enough for a large group. Service was friendly and they do have drive-thru. They do sell out of donuts pretty fast it seems or at least they did that Saturday morning. The sign outside will say Daylight Donuts so don't be confused. It is Sunshine Bakery as said on a smaller sign on the window. This place is worth the drive from Colby! read more

Must have the sausage roll!! Most amazing breakfast we had on the road this summer. We originally went in for their biscuits and gravy or breakfast burrito but they were out (our fault for coming in at almost close) but he offered us the sausage roll and it was not a disappointment. Note: since weren't from the area we were a little confused about the door to enter, the GPS said we were there but there wasn't a clear sign of "sunshine bakery" the sign says "daylight donuts" that is the right place if you see it! read more

I almost wasn't sure whether I was leaving a review for the correct donut bakery place, which my husband and I stopped by while we were in town, because when we came it had the sign "Daylight Donuts". I was really pleased to find this bakery shop for a quick breakfast that wasn't necessarily fast food. The donuts here are really tasty and I was pleased to have this with a decent breakfast sandwich (yes, they have more than donuts and baked goods). We chose a few donuts to eat here and bought some blueberry scones to take home with us. I just wish that we had a local one near our home. The scones, just like the donuts were very fresh and tasty. Coffee was great too! Can't go wrong if you want a decent breakfast before you head out to Monument Rocks. read more

We were staying at motel next door so tried out the bakery because it was a few steps away. Cute place inside. Not much from the outside. Friendly gal took our order. Breakfast burrito was nothing to write home about. I ate about a third of it and couldn't finish it. Wow, just wow! In the literal middle of nowhere is Sunshine Bakery. Formerly a Daylight Donuts shop (the sign is still up!), it appears to be owned now by a "mom and pop" who run the place. I placed an order online in the evening for the next morning and Kyle (owner?) actually called me to confirm and clarify my order, which they basically customized. Old fashioned donuts dipped in chocolate! Best I've had in ages! Light, not oily and just enough chocolate to satisfy my craving with the perfect level of sugar. Add to that the fresh brewed coffee and cappuccino which were both spot on. A welcome 5 minute detour from I 70 and well worth it! read more
