From…read morestart to finish, the entire experience was flawless, and the food was, simply put, delicious! The owner, Delana, was incredibly accommodating and worked with us to create a truly personal and comforting menu. We asked to build a menu of dishes that reminded us of loved ones, and she helped us craft a perfect spread of Tri-Tip and Cornish Hens, with incredible sides of Brussels Sprouts, Orzo, side salad, and rolls. Our dessert table featured various cobblers, and she made sure our small personal wedding cake--a strawberry swirl cheesecake--was perfect. Our guests raved about the food, and the service was impeccable. The Red Willow team handled the entire setup and tear-down efficiently and professionally, working seamlessly in the background without interfering with our event at all. As a final, incredibly thoughtful touch, Delana prepared a newlyweds tray for us to take home. This act of kindness truly capped off an amazing night. We highly recommend Red Willow Catering to anyone looking for phenomenal food and top-tier service for their event. 10/10--we would book them again in a heartbeat!

Colby, Kansas, March 2026…read more The small restaurant has 10 tables. It It sits on the corner of an antique strip mall. Pretty basic inside the restaurant. The salad bar is located right next to the one and only bathroom. The menu has many sandwiches to choose from. It has fewer entree selections. The waitress was new the night we went. She was nice and extremely helpful. She was an older lady, and I only say that for clarification of the other waitress who had long black hair with ponytail. Tried to get her attention a few times, and even though the restaurant is extremely small, she passed by as if though she did not see us. We ordered the chicken fried steak and the fried chicken. Both came with an ice cream size scoop of mashed potatoes and corn. The potatoes and chicken were covered in a white gravy. The chicken was hot and tender. The mashed potatoes were flavorless as was the gravy. The meals are also accompanied with a roll. Butter is in individual packets on the table. The chicken fried steak was thick and had little breading. It would have been better if it was a thinner pounded steak with more breading as that was more traditional to my liking. When they bring your check, it comes with a warm chocolate chip cookie. Cute idea! The ambience was odd and not welcoming. The location was rather depressing. The food was OK. I would give this place overall 3.5 stars.

We didn't come because of bathroom ratings, but those reviewers that mentioned the poor bathrooms understated conditions: There was not toilet paper or paper towels. Not good. I had the prime rib sandwich with tater tots. As I said, the tater tots were good. But the prime rib sandwich was much too spicy for my tastes. I ate it anyway because I was hungry. It did have Sriracha sauce so I probably should've avoided it. I love prime rib, but this was just OK. Not a super generous portion, and not something I would order again. My sister had the shrimp taco special and did like them. Shrimp were fried. My dad had a small burger and tater tots and did enjoy it. If you're in Oakley passing through as we were, I would skip this place and go with Sonic for food. Of course the owners / proprietors can't control this, but there was a loud and profane group of 4 young men at the bar (at 1:30 PM, we were there for lunch) who used the F word every third word. That situation normal for many bars. I'm sure. I'm just saying this isn't a place I would bring small children. Two of five stars because of the friendly service.
