Cedar tubs require very careful chemical handling, and I made that clear when hiring them. I was assured they had experience servicing cedar tubs. When I raised concerns about the condition of the wood, I did not receive an apology, and the issue occurred again on a subsequent visit. They also installed replacement spa-cover straps without prior notice to me. While I understand safety requirements, I believe work like this should be communicated with the owner beforehand. I have included photos so others can make their own assessment. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company for servicing a cedar hot tub.

I just left another pool service who told me their only available day was Monday. Then, when a holiday rolled around and they used about all the fed and those holidays that everyone enjoys, most holidays fall on a Monday. So, as they pointed out to me in my contract (a couple years later) that their servicemen had off on holidays. And of course I thought that was fine and I assumed they made up us Monday customers during the week. I assumed this because every pool service I ever had made these days up for me. Well, not this service. Monday customers still had to pay the entire month while not getting a full months service. But those Tuesday thru Friday still got full service. This was only one of the unfair practices this pool service did to us. All I'm saying is, buyer beware. Read the pool service contract.,most have them. I didn't read the one I just talked about and I played the fool. We were ripped off. This pool service is honest!!

The pool had gotten a little bad and he told me he'd need to shock it, come back in a few hours to check on progress, and then finish the cleaning. He showed up and was friendly, got right to work, shocked it, and did a "clarify" right away. Later backwashed and rinsed the sand filter. He came back later that day, cleared it out & vacuumed. He was very communicative throughout the entire process and all for a very competitive price. I'm really glad I found Breakpoint because I've had a painful time corresponding with the other 2 'big groups' in the area. Breakpoint did it faster, better, and cheaper than the competition. Over the past few months, I've experienced ongoing pool and spa issues that were not properly addressed. My pool frequently did not have enough chlorine, the baskets were not being emptied consistently, and overall maintenance was not performed to the standard I expected.
