Cons - bring your wallet. $40 for a thirty minute lesson seems extreme. Our last lesson was with the facility manager, and no joke, he was on his phone for the majority of my niece's lesson. We were there on time, but our lesson started five minutes late as he was out in the main area talking with people. During our 25 minute lesson, he took two phone calls and checked his texts 7-8 times. So basically every 3-4 minutes he was on his phone. For $40 you think he could give us full attention for 30 minutes. Twice he said "good job" to my niece when she completed the action she was practicing - when he was looking at his phone and not even watching what she was doing. We had another lesson with a different instructor and he was super good. Focused on my niece the entire time. Actually gave her 45 minutes as when our lesson was up, he said he didn't have any more for the day, so he gave her some extra attention. A-plus for that due. Great facility. Some really great and friendly staff. And some great instructors. But if you are going to charge $40 for a thirty minute lesson, you should give that student a full 30 minute lesson.

I saw an ad in the Community Impact for the 180 Performance Center "Youth Summer Baseball Camp", and signed my son up for a week in late-July, 2022. He had an absolutely awesome experience! There were 3 coaches for roughly 20 kids; everyone got plenty of individual attention; and I could see a quantifiable improvement in my son's skills and confidence each and every day. Here's what was most impressive about the coaches: they reward EFFORT just as much (if not more) as results. Even if the kids made an error, the coaches were quick to praise the work they put into trying to get it right. It cannot be overstated how important that is to me -- and to every kid, really. I was lucky enough to play professional football in my heyday, and -- even though I don't know the first thing about baseball -- I do have the luxury of perspective that young athletes don't have. All of the coaches and instructors have professional and/or college experience; they know what it takes. Instilling the mindset of "always trying to get it right instead of always being right" is so vital to sports development, and life-in-general development. It's the practice, the homework, the chores, the manners -- the things they don't give you a trophy for -- that lay the foundation for a good life. It's apparent that 180 Performance Center and True Grind Systems was founded on this credo. One of the founders and owners I had the pleasure of meeting, Mr. Tom Snell, epitomizes this mindset, and only hires instructors and coaches that share that mindset. It's the perfect place for my son to develop as an athlete and as a human being; my only regret is that I didn't find this place sooner. If you're a parent or player who has seen too many coaches fixated on "winning-at-all-costs" instead of stressing development and fundamentals, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Thank you to Mr. Snell, the coaches (Austin, Bryson and Tyler), and everyone else involved with 180 Performance Center & True Grind Systems. For the price (you can buy any seat, just can't sit in them) it is well worth it. The parking is an additional $15 on top of ticket prices but for around $45 all in for the two of us plus our dog, the value was great. When you arrive at the park you pay for parking via workers with a mobile payment processor. There are a lot of parking options for all sizes of cars. Since we were doing Bark In The Park we were asked to park at the Right Field Gate parking which was no hassle. Getting into the park is very smooth, short lines and quick workers make sure it all flows well. Once in you are greeted by a very pretty and clean ballpark with a great outfield lawn area. When you have dogs you are asked to stay on the outfield lawn area which is no issue, but do be prepared to have a struggle finding a good spot to sit as other dog owners fill in. Lining the atrium in left field were a number of dog vendors offering treats, bandanas, etc which is another big plus. The whole park is very nice and intimate giving that true minor league ballpark feel. We also snagged some free beer samples and food including churros, shave ice, and a corn dog. All were reasonably priced and pretty tasty for stadium food, can't say anything bad about it. Before we left we stopped by the team store to grab some merch since we decided we'd be coming a few more times this year. The merch can be pricier but that's pretty much par for most sports merch spots. We would highly, highly recommend anyone with a dog in the Austin area come check this out. It's a perfect summer outing for any furry friend and their owner.
