This park is cool . Even my 30 year old daughter had fun. We were playing with my three grandchildren.

I like the back to school drive a while back, and the diversity in the crowd. And even when there wasn't any backpacks left, there was still people coming in. So it was a long line for slides but they went by fast. read more

This place is unsanitary and not well maintained. Water was very murky, smelly and green. It did not smell like chlorine or clean. They also had a massive group of YMCA kids. Well over what was safe for the one staff member in the water and the many inattentive lifeguards. read more

Kids must be 48" tall to use all of the equipment. Every 45 mins everyone must get out of the water for a break. No carry in food or drinks are allowed. Bringing in your own beach chairs is OK. read more

I really enjoyed Lions Park. You can't bring outside food in but that's okay. The place is surrounded with lifeguards, inside and outside of the water. I love that you can walk into the water. I hurt my foot the other day so it was nice that I didn't have to climb and out of the pool. The water is very refreshing. Even on the hottest of days, with the fountains and sprinklers everywhere you will definitely stay cool. The staff and lifeguards were very nice. It's nice to be around friendly faces and feel safe while you have a good time. I will definitely return. read more

This was a HORRIBLE experience: -Long 30 minute line to get in - don't allow water in -nasty, expensive food (waited another 30 minutes for a water and hot dog) - had to lay in mesquite infested grass with dog poop. I got bite several times. (They had chairs but very very few, that I'm assuming were taken with in 15 minutes of being open) - Wouldn't let me son bring in his baby float, so I had to hold him, and was nervous the whole time - teenagers from above on the water slides spit on me... so I had spit all over my arms - they take "breaks" often and make all the kids get out for 15 minutes -When I did get in the pool there was so many people in there I couldn't even walk one foot without hitting someone from all around me I would NEVER pay the money to come back! My kids have just as much fun at our FREE community pool! With actual lounge chairs to lay on! read more

Not sure why there are other complaints but in my recent experience the place was clean and organized. Compared to our visit to the Belton water park (which looked gross and smelled like urine) Lines here are very long so prepare for the wait unless you come early during opening time. read more

Wanted to do something for my family. It was hot so we decided to come here. Everything was enjoyable. My family stayed for about 4 hours and they didn't want to leave. The restrooms were very clean. They do not allow outside foods or drinks. They amount that we paid to get in was reasonable. 5 for kids and 7 for adults. They also have good food and drinks to sale. I must say I will be returning. This is a great place for kids on a summer day! Location: The location is in the fairly new Lion's Club Park off Stan Schlueter. There is a good amount of parking spaces at this park. Price: Residents pay $7 per person and $8 for non residents. They'll usually ask what your zip code is and that's how that know if your a resident or not. Say 76542. ;) My daughter got in free and she's 1 years old. Amenities: The kiddie area is huge. Kids can be entertained by 4 slides, water sprinklers off the ground and a large pool area that is 1 feet deep or less. My daughter loves to walk around in the water. The slides for adults are fun from what my husband says. There is also a small area to rock climb. There are two diving boards and in that same pool adults can swim freely behind the line. (One side for the people diving and the other side for the swimmers.) The lifeguards take a break for 15 minutes every hour. This gives the children a break from the water to hydrate and/or pick up food from their concession stand. You are not allowed to bring in food or drinks but sippy cups and toddler snacks are okay to bring in. My family and I love this place. We've been here three times now and we will most likely be back before we leave the area. read more

I took my nine-year-old niece here today for our first ever trip. It really is a great layout and an excellent place to spend a hot day. I've made a list below of why I scored it as I did: Pros: -GREAT layout-very shallow end for small kids with flowing and spraying water; huge, fast slides for the big kids -Separate diving pool -Four water slides in varying degrees of speed and excitement -Shaded areas with chaise loungers -VERY cheap admission -Life guards EVERYWHERE -You are allowed to leave the park and re-enter Cons: -No food or drinks allowed (not even a water bottle). Your bag is searched upon entry -Expensive snacks ($3 for a handful of nachos, $2 for a hotdog) -No lockers for your valuables, you have to hope no one notices your bag is unattended -Bathrooms don't get much attention, no soap in sight -No showers on site -Many chairs were broken and there wasn't enough seating for the adults -Park doesn't open until 11:00 a.m. All-in-all, what would have cost us $27 in Belton (just the admission), cost us $20 (entry and cost of snacks and drinks). Still a better deal, especially if you have the whole family in tow. read more

I went yesterday for the teens party thing with some friends. It was supposed to open at 6 but we didn't get in till 6:24. Once we were in and all ready to swim we got in the water, went down one of the slides and then got in the big pool. We had only been in the park for about 30 minutes when everyone got kicked out due to a fight. According to one of my friends someone had gotten tased. As we were compiling our stuff to leave we were being rushed by police officers and swat team members. After we exited the park we began walking towards the play ground to wait for our parents and while we were walking people started running. At first I didn't know why and that's when we started hearing the tasers. The police were chasing us out with their tasers. There was one officer right behind me with his taser he gave me no warning or chance to move out of the way so I had to dart to the car next to me to avoid getting tased or being in the way. The police blocked off the entrance to the park from the road so no one could turn in but still proceeded to yell at us for not leaving. To my knowledge there was a threat for a shoot out before the event had even started and according to my friends multiple guns had been brought into the park as well as drugs and alcohol. read more

This is a review for the fitness center. This is a great, small, and simple gym to use with a small crowd. $5 for daily use: CHEAP! Two indoor courts for basketball or volleyball or any other ridiculous games you can play indoors. For the baby mamas, their is a babysitters club. Upstairs, there are a bunch of treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes with an indoor track. For the guys and girls getting their weight workouts in, they have appriximately 10-15 machines that cover the necessities with two benches and free weights and kettle balls. Finally, they're is a lot of space to establish your own circuit workout. I will be returning many times read more

Save your money and go somewhere else. It's cheap to get in but I always say you get what you pay for. My family & I decided to go here the weekend after they finally re opened and the time to get in was anywhere between 30-80min. My husband was on his way and I had been in line waiting and got to the entrance before he arrived so I asked if I could purchase his bracelet so he can come in. They said he would still have to wait in the line regardless of already having a bracelet which I found ridiculous cause the line is to buy your entrance in. But "if we allow him to go in, everyone in the line will be mad" was what I got told. Then after being inside for less than an hour, my mother in law was kicked out of the water with my kids cause she was wearing a shirt made of cotton (guess she didn't see the rules on the page) so I essentially was struggling to keep an eye on my two small children in the water since she wasn't allowed in the water and they refused to let my husband come in. I went to ask for a refund so we could leave because it was stressful not having help and the manager at the front said they can't give me a refund even though I payed cash. Another ridiculous policy of theirs. We stayed and waited an hour and 20 for my husband to finally get it and they were just going around being an*l about everything. Some people were in the water playing with these ropes (that are meant for play) and a lifeguard comes to tell them they can't play with it because its not working. How is that their problem? Nothing on it was a hazard...it just didn't work apparently. And then another one comes to another family minding their business and tells them their 3.5 year old needs a diaper on or has to get out. The woman explained no he does not, he is fully potty trained and I'm not putting a diaper on my child. They proceeded to go back & forth until the lifeguard just walked away. Also, someone apparently threw up at the top of the steps of a slide and the workers were washing it off did not warn the people walking up and literally had vomit get thrown on them and they ran down the stairs yelling. This place is honestly just trash. Go to typhoon Texas or any other water park than this place with crazy rules that barely allow you have any fun. read more

We only got to go for an hour, and it was great! I have a almost 2 year old and this was a very child friendly pool. I would say it definitely geared towards families with children! The pool and surroundings were clean and well taken care of from what I saw. The safety regulations were, from my hour of experience, plentiful. They follow a city wife protocol regarding floaties, and if you don't own any, they will supply the accepted gear free of charge. This place is reasonable for what you get! A good amount of slides and water features for the kids. Lifeguards galore, which made me feel covered even in the 1' deep areas. Lots of rules and the bottom of the pool needs to be refinished. They have massive shades but need more seating and more options at the concession stand if they won't allow you to be anything in. It was $7 for my husband and I, $5 for our 7 yo, 3 yo was free. Also the bathroom was kind of dirty and with plenty of staff on hand it could've been cleaned better. read more

We visited on a Sunday and got there about 40 minutes after it opened. It was crowded and hard to find a place to sit, especially in the shade. It's on the smaller side but prices aren't bad. My 8 year old and five year old had fun for a few hours. read more

This place is very reasonably priced as far as tickets and food/snacks & drinks; also, very toddler friendly, and the whole park was pretty clean. My young children had a great time. We were there for 3 1/2 hours, and they were crying when we had to leave. They can't wait until the next time we go. My only complaint is that we couldn't bring our own water in. read more

First off, let me say that when I was stationed at Fort Hood, it was already over populated as well as Killeen. That was in 93', and now I can say it's way over crowded. I use to know my way around, now it's easy for me to get turn around and lose my way. Anyway the park was nice, a lot of families hanging out and having a great time. The concession's prices are reasonable, and it's pretty big and can accomulate a lot of people. Whoever came up with the idea maybe should try constructing another Aquatics Center on the other side of town. All and all, I had an awesome time with my grandbaby at the center in the Heat!! read more

Went for the 2nd time this summer. Great and cheap place to bring the whole family. Separation between the shallow pool, children's pool, diving pool and slides are extremely helpful. It wasn't as crowded today by when it is its almost like a zoo with kids running everywhere! I am allowed to bring sippy cups for my toddlers by otherwise no food or drinks allowed! Food is not too pricey ranging from $1-3 depending on what you want. No soap at all in the bathroom however pretty clean facility considering it is a pool area. The 2 showers are located b/w the restrooms however there's no privacy. Overall not a bad place to spend the day. read more

So the policy for this center is no outside food can be brought in except for a cake if you booked a 2hr party under one of the pavilions. I booked a party for my daughter and it was today. I provided pizza and drinks from their concession stand for my guest. Once our party was over we moved to another area in the park and "someone" told the supervisors that I had outside food in the facility when really it was the Capri suns that I bought from there concession stand!! They had the nerve to tell me to take my "outside" food out of the park. I don't think I'll be booking another party there again cause the place is ran by a bunch of kids and I felt like it was pretty insulting to accuse me of this considering I followed all the rules. read more

An excellent place if you're looking for a place to cool off in the summer time. Highly recommend this water part to anyone, even if you are totally blind or have other visual problems. The staff were very friendly, and they are more than willing to help you out if you need or require assistance. I have never had a bad experience coming to this water park. The aquatic center consists of 4 slides a diving board and 2 pools. It's pretty good and cheap I go here every summer!

Awesome staff! everyone is so kind and generous . two of the most outstanding life guards were Micheal and Matthew , they always seem to have a GREAT attitude on them . It was not what I expected, but it was a good time. We hit the splash play area first. Out of all the slides, my 6 year old was able to ride 2. The slides were completely different, so this worked out. After about an hour, we headed over to the pool area for work on his swimming skills. Then we returned to the 2 kid slides with kids he met. I chilled out in the lagoon. We hope to be back on the weekends before closing for winter. Didn't try concessions since we had pack lunch in the truck. Great fun family atmosphere. Love the walking trail since I do need to walk, but hey, where is the available restroom??? The restroom is gated and locked! Had to cut my walk short in need of the restroom :-( . Even a port-a-potty would be better than nothing. read more

It's a damn shame that we live down the street from this location and they would not let my 4yr old son in with his sugar free juice. HE IS TYPE 1 DIABETIC!!!! The juices they sell all have sugars in them. He can ONLY drink sugar free ones. Food....I understand but his juice to help keep him hydrated on this incredibly hot summer day is ABSOLUTELY 100% ridiculous. You should be ashamed of yourselves. We just got back from Sea World and Splash town. Neither of those locations had ANY problem understanding that he is Diabetic and NEEDS this!!!! We will NEVER try here again. There are other establishments that "accomadate" kids with special needs. read more
