Found this spot randomly! The tacos were so good, I highly recommend you checking this out if you want authentic tacos. When you first walk in , it seems like a little store. There are two tables inside but if you walk over to the counter, you can order. The staff is so nice and so thoughtful. They explained everything to you if you didn't know what certain meats were or a specific dish. Absolutely amazing and great little spot.

The food is sooooo delicious! Usually in other places there's a uneven balance of cheese and meet in tacos, but these guys make it perfectly balanced the little sauces on a side and the broth is full of spices. The staff was welcoming ,and in general this place is a small business, but gives me and my friends some good vibes from Mexico Definitely recommend

Lengua and Pastor tacos. Both incredible.

What a great find. The tacos and burrito we had were excellent. The store has a great selection of Mexican foods/spices/snacks etc.

BEST TACOS IN MASSACHUSETTS! If your looking for authentic Mexican tacos look no further. My first visit and definitely not the last. I had beef lengua, barbacoa, ground beef, carnitas, and carne asada. My wife and I got married on the west coast and we ate tacos galore for our wedding trip. From California all the way to Washington State, and these are hands down as close to west coast as you can get. The owner was very friendly and welcoming also. I can't wait to go back tomorrow!

The carnitas tacos are absolutely delicious!! Made to order, so expect a bit of a wait (I waited 25 minutes) but so worth it! Shop around while you wait for your food, I picked up some Jarritos soda, but there's aisles of options!

I just went here out of curiousity. After all there are only few reviews and the place seems unassuming. We ordered a quesedilla and tacos but damn they are heavy and delicious. One of the places I will go again whenever I go Hadley to buy my Asian food stuff. This place is legit. And there are other hard to find mexican stuff selling there as well. My hubby really likes the alfajor one.

This is a hidden jem! Had never been here before and was craving some tacos. It's a market atmosphere with a side kitchen that all the cooking is done. If your looking to cook in the Mexican quinine this market has a great selection of ingredients. The food is cooked to order and is as fresh as can be. I ordered the taco plate which comes 4 tacos with choice of protein. I choose a protein that's not really common. Beef tongue. It was incredible. Very tender and flavorful with a great variety of fresh veggies. Radish, cilantro, cucumber, fresh lime, roasted jalapeño, fresh onion. Came with two homemade salsa's one red one green. I ordered this to go and was sitting in my car throughly enjoying these when I hear a noise. The owner I presume runs out and gives me a free bottle of cold water. Now that's awesome! Great customer service. The tacos were fantastic and a great value. Go try this place. You won't be disappointed. I'm definitely going to explore this menu up and down. Looking forward to more delicious experiences.

You've heard so many great things about their food but their market is insane with isles of hispanic, latin, and exclusive products.

They do have a few small tables to eat at but it's more a store atmosphere than a restaurant

This stretch of…read moreSchenectady offers some diverse family-owned restaurants - Pakistani, El Salvadorian, Jamaican, etc., to name a few. In this case, the cuisine offered at Los Chamos is Venezuelan. Upon entering the establishment, I noticed a music/karaoke machine in the front corner. Tables were interspersed in the main area which surrounded a bar and ordering station. A preteen sat at one of the tables, playing on her phone. A young man worked the ordering station. Early on a Saturday afternoon, noticing a fridge with beers displayed, I ordered a Modelo and looked through the menu. I ordered a Chile Colorado and empanadas con pollo to go. Two things right off the bat - 1. First taste - It was good food. It was satisfying in a way that spoke of generational recipes rather than or despite culinary training. It is soul satisfying stuff. 2. If you can finish this meal in one sitting, good on you! Generous portions and the heartiness of the meal add to the "warmth" of the experience. A couple of details - the mayonnaise-based sauce for the empanadas was something I'd never tried before - lots of garlic, cilantro, a bit of water to loosen it, maybe some vinegar for acid...I liked it. The braised black beans had a little chili heat to liven it up. I'll definitely go back. I may not be fluent in Spanish or be knowledgeable about Venezuela but I find the food to be inviting and soulful.

It is good to see, at long last, a Venezuelan restaurant in New York's Capital District. You may…read morefind yourself meandering by on the State Street sidewalk, with tumbleweed of cigarette butts and trash blowing across your unsheathed feet, and pass by Los Chamos. It is indeed worth going inside for a delicious meal. Los Chamos' menu has a good selection that includes many traditional Venezuelan dishes: pabellón, arepas, cachapas, tequeños, empanadas. There is also an extremely disconcerting section of the menu devoted to seemingly-Mexican dishes. Perhaps that is to attract customers in an area with a smaller Venezuelan population and a small population of people who are familiar with Venezuelan cuisine. I don't know. But I also don't care. I was, of course, able to sample the pabellón criollo and the tequeños. Astoundingly, tequeños can be a good indicator of quality in Venezuelan restaurants in the US, and these ones pass the test. They also have moñongos, an item from Zulia (and it shows) that is effectively a thick tequeño with ham and plantain and meat as well. Healthy? Tasty. The venue has a decent amount of seating and the staff are friendly. They also sell a small selection of Venezuelan products, such as ovomaltina and Savoy chocolates. If you live in the area and have never tried Venezuelan food, now is your opportunity to do so. It's not spicy either, for those of you with weak stomachs. Overall, I would highly recommend Los Chamos. Hopefully their business succeeds.
