We are happy to have Posada's come to Hadley! We went for a late lunch and the decor is gorgeous! So much detail and vibrant colors. I love it! We ordered the el pastor nachos, a beef burrito and two carnitas tacos. The nachos had a cheese sauce on them instead of melted cheese. Not my favorite, but they do offer other types of nachos with traditional cheese. Our food was good not great. Lacked a little flavor and spice. The refried beans were very good. We had a passion fruit and a blood orange margarita. Both tasted delicious they were just lacking alcohol. The staff were amazing. So polite and friendly. We really enjoyed them. We will be back and will try other menu items. Over all it was a fun experience. read more

The staff are very friendly and the service is quick. Lighting and decor in the restaurant is very fun and well-balanced. The food is delicious. Same with the drinks--they use plenty of lime juice in the margaritas! Tip: if you have the cilantro soap gene, just double check with the server to determine which items can or can't be adjusted to exclude it. Most of their house sauces have cilantro by default, hence my suggestion. They're quite accommodating. Good stuff! read more

I love this place so much. They'll be moving to a new location soon (from Hatfield to Hadley) and I will definitely follow them. Everything the make is the BEST. Their salsas are wonderful, refried beans are the best I've ever had, margaritas are top notch. I order something different every time I go and I'm never disappointed. Today I tried the chicken wings for the first time- not usually something I would order at a Mexican restaurant, and they did not disappoint. I took one bite and said "wow! Is there anything they can't do?!" I wish I could eat there every day. Kevin was our server the last two times we went and he was great. The decor is fun, bright and welcoming. Very good! A great value for the community and a quality meal for a fair price. Parking is very accessible, with a large lot behind and adjacent to the building. The staff was very friendly and prompt, making us feel very comfortable and taken care of. The ambiance was great; well lit booths and a dim enough overall aesthetic that you could easily see your own space without feeling like intruding on others. The food was great! I've been meaning to review this place for ages. They have a sister restaurant in Greenfield that is equally good. Staff is very friendly and competent, food is amazing, top notch margaritas (cucumber and jalapeno, tajin, several others that I'm forgetting but they are all great.) Decor is lively, music is fun, staff act like people who are happy to be there and there isn't a ton of turnover, which is a reliable indicator of a functional and healthy business. I've had their chiles relleños (I think at the Greenfield place - they may not have them in Hatfield), enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, shrimp tacos...we've visited more than we probably should for two people who feel the need to start any dinner at a Mexican place with tequila shots. Prices are decent, especially considering the quality. I especially wanted to review because we do go *a lot* and 'Let's go over to Hatfield and find some Mexican food somewhere around the potato fields' might not be someone's first idea when the 'let's try a new place' discussion comes up. read more

Cantina is a great Mexican restaurant; I go there a a lot, and I'd recommend it to anybody. I'm so happy it's there and that Hatfield has this quality of restaurant in town. Personable wait staff who are very prompt. Also, it's got great parking; unlike Northampton, there is ALWAYS a parking space. Excellent ambiance. Beautiful, clean decor. Love the paintings and personality everywhere. The laminated booth paintings are especially cool. The food is excellent and reasonable priced. My personal favorite dish is anything they do with the camarones; the plate is absolutely fantastic, and I'd highly recommend. As far as favorites go, it does change from week to week, because each time, who knows! Everything there is great! read more

The food, service and atmosphere is absolutely amazing, by far the best Mexican restaurant around! I have been multiple times and try to get something different every time but my favorites are the Chipotle chicken quesadilla, and steak burrito. We got takeout on Saturday night. First time here. Paid $51 for two orders of chicken enchiladas and a chimichanga (which was more like a burrito). Not only did I consider this expensive, the amount of food was ridiculous compared to other takeout Mexican food in the area. Decent taste, nothing extraordinary, but price is crazy for what you actually receive for takeout. Needless to say this will be our first and last visit. read more

Finding even decent Mexican food in western Mass has been challenging for this California transplant. Cantina really hits the spot! Very nice service too, BTW. As others have said, Cantina is nicely and uniquely decorated. And I don't understand how other reviews call it overpriced, I think it's quite reasonably priced. Just a short hop from the Rte91 exit Hatfield and Northampton Mass. is a newly opened Mexican Restaurant , Cantina. We stopped in on a leisurely weekend drive . As it was early lunch time we were the first customers to arrive , (11:30am opening) . We were quickly seated by a friendly hostess to a colorful Mexican motif booth. There are also tables and bar seating available. The resturant has a Mexican vibe , brightly painted art and designed tables booths , Spanish music video over the tv near the bar , other tvs had a sports channel on but muted. We scanned our dining menus and also a drink menu which we did not look at due to long road trip ahead. I will post some quick photos of the menus. The prices are moderate portions on the bean bowls were filling but not as large as we could have eaten. Very tasty , layered with thinly sliced lettuce and cheese with home made sour cream ( delicious) a mixture of warm beans and rice! We will be back again to try other offerings off the menu ! read more

We love the Cantina. We are Hatfield residents and enjoy weekly outings with the wonderful staff who have become our friends. The portions are just perfect. I've been twice and can't wait to return. Amazed to see any bad reviews here because not only was the food delicious (great guacamole, mole, enchiladas rancheros, (and plenty! Well there always could be more guacamole!!)....but the service was excellent, warm, friendly, and not at all rushed. I also liked the artistic decor unlike all the other Mexican places in the area, Cantina felt cozy and pretty. I've told a ton of people to go try it. They even broiled shrimp for a shrimp taco vs. fried (which is on a menu) when we asked. I really hope people will try this place and support this family! read more

Ate there tonight for the first time. Food was excellent. Service left a lot to be desired. The waitress cleared the table while I was still eating.
