Made an appointment for a basic pedicure online same day. The pros: able to get in same day. Place is clean and bright. Pedi was good but not great. Same with the massage. The cons: ventilation is not great. I felt almost like I couldn't breathe, and my sinuses stuffed up. Arrived early but had to wait about 20 mins, during which time my water went from very hot to lukewarm. Boo. Not an amazing massage, just ok. Once tried a walk-in for their advertised facials, only to find out that they did not in fact do facials. Literally BLED from the reckless handling of their dirty equipment too, like what the hell? Awful. Do not go here but ESPECIALLY to the guy on the far right. HE CUT ME TWICE WITH THE DIRTY NAIL FILE AND I BLED. HE DIDNT THROW IT AWAY. ALSO I gave him two options, a basic set of acrylics, just hot pink or a pink French tip with cherries painted on it. He assured me many times that he was capable, AND that he was the one doing the nails in the reviews I showed him for reference. It is absolutely clear to me now that's not true. He did not even touch my cuticles so now they are in horrible condition and look at these nails, I tell everybody I did them myself because it's embarrassing I had to pay for this. They would not give me a refund. No matter how nicely I asked. Go down to Sally's and buy polish to do yourselves. Literally go anywhere other than this place. I requested an appointment with Henry - and delayed my travel plans to see him, specifically - but was handed off to Nancy instead. First, when I asked for a paler pink (not so cotton candy-ish) she just flat out said no. Honestly, I couldn't quite understand what she was saying was the reason but I trusted that she understood the look I was going for since I brought in two 8.5X11" photos to show. Then, when I mentioned that the foil color was not the correct shade, she argued with me. Now that I'm home, I can feel that the glitter nails aren't sealed on the edges, I am coming to the realization that I'm going to have to have them fixed. Whether I have them fixed there or somewhere else, I haven't decided. This is certainly not the quality I experienced last time. Plus, I'm more than a little ticked that my scheduled appointment made 2 days in advance wasn't honored. 2 stars because they didn't turn out completely horrible but they definitely aren't what I wanted. read more

Just got my nails done with Henry for the first time. Five stars, 10/10. He is so professional and talented. My appointment was relaxing and he is very gentle. He did my nails exactly how I wanted them and I am extremely happy with them! I recommend this salon, it's beautiful, everyone who works there is very talented, and prices were appropriate. This is a hit or Miss nail salon. I usually request to see Henry and he can be rude sometimes. I always end up going back to him because when he isn't rushing and taking his time, he does a really good job. But when he's rushed, he is sloppy and doesn't do your nails as nice. This nail salon should also clean up your cuticles and around your nails but they charge another $10!! If I see something that needs to be fixed, he's not very nice about fixing it. I don't give him tips when I notice this. I really wish he would see what he does and should schedule accordingly as this can result to losing clients. read more

They got working on my new full set on time.. first a lady did the tips and applied the gel.. then Henry did the filing.. this is why they get 1 star!! The nails are too thick - which I asked to make thinner - and they look like my nail goes up rather than the natural looking curve! I paid $50 plus tip.. Really one of the better pedicures I've had in a while. The business place is very clean and they took out a box that contained everything that each my sister and I would need for a pedicure so I was confident that everything was very sanitary. We were both very happy with the massage And the care they took with trimming and painting our toenails. The only complaint I would have is that they don't seem to have adequate ventilation and the smell of acrylic, shellac and chemicals is so incredibly strong that the minute you walk in the door you get a headache. If it wasn't for that this place would get five stars. read more

I used to go here all the time before they renovated because the owner does a great job on nails. Unfortunately he is rude & very rough. The last time I went he over booked me so he was rushed the entire appt. Another time I went I didn't like my nails and he didn't want to fix them... so instead of fixing them he tried to argue with me! it was only the second nail he had done. If I'm paying a service I expect it to be somewhat pleasant & get what I want & am paying for...they are so popular now that they're always in a rush & just don't do as well of a job as before. I have never been burned by the wax for a lip wax. When I got home I had red burn marks that did not go away, and are still red and I have to cover with a lot of makeup today's day it is Day 2. I called the salon and nicely said that they may want to turn down the wax temp, and the reply I got was, "Ok, thanks for letting me know," no "sorry this happened, etc." I felt this was very poor customer service so I will not be back-- guess you get what you pay for, It was $5 and I gave the woman a $1 tip. read more

I wish I would have been able to have a service here, so I could give a review on the quality of service they offer, but unfortunately my appointments were apparently lost and I was not able to get my nails done. I was referred to this salon by family and friends. I don't live in the area but was looking for my fiancée and I to get our nails done while we were wedding planning over the weekend. We called several places day of and everyone seemed to be booked. But kept getting positive reviews about J&k so we decided to wait and book a couple days out. We had confirmation for two appointments, one mani for me, and a pedi for my fiancée. We showed up and there was no record of our appointments. Not usually a big deal, but they were totally booked through the weekend so we were out of luck! I managed a high end salon for nearly 6 years and if there was a scheduling issue, we would find a way to accommodate our clients somehow.. but instead of being understanding of a clear issue on their part... I was treated very rudely. The gentleman at the front (who my mother spoke to and made the appointments with the day prior) was rude and dismissive. He even said "your mom made a mistake! She called the wrong salon". He then told me of other nail salons in the area and said I should call to make sure I was not booked somewhere else... I actually called "l(feeling a bit embarrassed, like maybe me and Mom made a mistake) and there was no record at any of them. I then had my mom look to make sure she called the right salon.. sure enough she has called this salon and made the appointments. He was also answering the phone, dealing with customers checking in and out, all while doing an acrylic job on another customer. Clearly he was not paying attention to what was going on. I'm assuming when my mom called to make our appointments he was multi tasking and the appointment didn't get written down. Mistakes happen, I get that. But when mistakes happen make it work! customer service should be a priority! I'm mostly upset with the way the situation was handled. We were basically told "sorry" and turned away. We were treated very rudely and dismissed. I was even told "your mom made a mistake, she called the wrong place". At one point the gentleman I had been speaking to decided to stop talking to me and have another young lady step in. She interrupted the service she was giving to tell me "all of our appointments have been booked since yesterday" hmmm... yes, our appointments were booked the day prior. Its unfortunate because they have been so highly recommended. We will never be back again! If anyone has a recommendation of a nail salon I wenatchee I would love it! P.s. the guy that I was dealing with was doing a gals nails while ignoring me and he was bad mouthing another local nail salon..... so unprofessional! I rarely ever leave reviews but I had a pretty negative experience at J&K Nails today. You go to a nail salon to get pampered and feel pretty, neither of which were achieved during and after my visit. Both men that worked on my toenails and fingernails (got a normal mani pedi) were super rough. The guy doing my nails dug into the side of my finger to get after a hangnail even after I told him multiple times what he was doing was hurting me. My finger ended up bleeding profusely and he just stuck a cotton ball in it. Then he had to wipe off my old polish (not sure why this wasn't done initially) and got the acetone right in the cut, which wasn't pleasant. After 10 minutes the nail still wouldn't stop bleeding so he put super glue in it. The man working on my feet skipped a couple steps in the pedicure and didn't do anything to buff up my heels or remove rough skin. The worst part was that both were rude, one of them making comments about the distasteful shape of my nails right to my face. Overall just a really unpleasant experience. If I could give this place 0 out of 5 stars I would. read more

They make you wait more than 25 minutes even when you have an appointment because they schedule random people before your turn

The only season this place ever received a rating above zero is because one is as low as you can go. The five stars must have been a really good friend. I called and scheduled a mani-pedi for my mom and I, when we arrived the owner, Henry, said that I had only scheduled pedis, I said no I specifically asked for mani-pedis and he declared that I had not and that he remembered asking me if I wanted manicures as well and I said no. Maybe this was just a communication problem, so I said can we schedule manicures for a different day this week and we will just get pedicures today to which he replied yes. We chose our nail color and were seated in the pedi chairs. My "pedicare" lasted approx 15 minutes, Henry then transferred to my mom and his wife came over and painted my nails. She then had me move over to the manicure table. I said I thought we were gonna schedules manicures for another day, she said no it was fine to do them today. 15 minute manicure done. Meanwhile my mom's pedicure was done, also in record time. Two other people came in and Henry started working on one of them and his wife started working on the other. My mom's nails were NOT painted. We waited for 20 minutes thinking they were just getting the other customers started and would return to finish. My mom left very upset, Henry then said what is wrong and I said you never finished her pedicure. He said she didn't want her nails painted. I said she had the color sitting on the chair, we picked them out when we came in. He said No I asked her and she said no color. Communication problem and again the customers fault. I paid for two pedicures and a manicure $80. This was the absolute worst place on multiple levels. I was comparing notes with a coworker about our experiences having to try a new place since V&K closed, and she even remembered that I asked for mani-pedis when I called. My friend went to get a full set of acrylic nails last Friday. When the man began putting them on she noticed they looked like gel nails instead. She hadn't had a full set put on for many years and thought that this was a new type of acrylic nail. She asked for the tips to be square rounded. He made them completely square. She mentioned that she wanted them more rounded. He then proceeded to make them into a point. In the end she got 6 out of 10 tips correct, the other 4 are terrible. When she asked him to correct it, he stated that he couldn't do any better. Reason being he had filed those nails completely down to the tips of her finger. She was irratated and when given the price of $45, she was shocked. Because in fact he did use gel tips!!! The only good thing... The color is gorgeous! I will not be going to this salon for my fills and my friend will never return. It is sad, she was looking for a new nail tech. That clearly Didn't happen. I LOVE LOVE LOVE HOW THEY DO NAILS never do I leave disappointed , so I thought I'd get a pedicure , and it wasn't good at all they just soaked my feet , scrubbed a little , cleaned them up and painted my toe nails I payed $40 because I got (shellac polish ) for that price I expected to get more than just my toes clipped but learned my lesson and will be getting my pedis somewhere else and my pedi only lasted 15 min was so disappointed once again for the price I payed I expected better service. read more

Been getting great manicures for decades - never a bad one. I chose J&K Nails because of the (mostly) good reviews on Yelp. The business is one of the few that offers the dip process in my area. I honestly feel bad writing a poor review but after my experience I simply HAD to post. From start to finish it was a challenge for me to not call out the technician as it felt like he was filing the hooves on a horse instead of a human...he seemed to be in such a hurry that he was literally reefing down each natural nail to the quick as fast as he could go. By the end of the appointment - I had 2 cuticles bleeding - which he obviously noticed but said nothing. It sounds crazy but the skin surrounding almost every nail is now tender to the touch. I'm guessing he was under pressure to get as many people through the door as possible but I definitely would not recommend this salon for a manicure. read more
