I have to take some time in calling out the magnificent work J&M Entertainment has done for my wedding in September 2018. Having attended so many prior events of theirs via friends and family, the choice was obvious that my wife and I had to have them leading the entertainment for our wedding. We scheduled an in person meeting with Jorge Lopez who took us on a tour of all the possibilities where he showcased of their services from music, lighting, video and on. I'd never experienced any meeting quite like it - Jorge gave us a first-hand glimpse of what exactly we could expect depending on our package. We ended up locking in the team for Host MC & DJ, Audio, Lighting and Videography at a competitive price point. Over the course of the following months leading up to our event, various members of the team kept in close contact with us ensuring every milestone of preparation was met. We also had our own J&M website where we could update song selections, update our wedding profile and indicate choices on which dances to incorporate, video song selection, and so much more. It helped to seamlessly tailor our night the way we wanted it. We were then so lucky to have been assigned to work with the amazing Alex Morales as our Host MC. Given that we were out of state, we set-up a video conference with Alex where he walked us through the course of the evening start-to-finish. This gave us a real sense of comfort as, not only is he an awesome person, but it gave him a chance to get to know my wife and me (crucial!). We finalized the details, and all that we needed left to do was simply show up. When working with J&M, you get so much more than music, lights, and film, you get a custom, curated event backed by industry professionals who bring decades of experience to execute your night flawlessly. I can attest... had it not been for working with Alex and the rest of the talented team, our night would not have been nearly as fun or error free. Alex kept in close contact with us throughout the night, never once letting us worry or panic and was key to change things around when necessary to ensure the execution and timing of everything was just right. His delivery as an MC was amazing - everyone continues to talk to us about how great he was at hyping up the guests and keeping things fun and memorable with such energy! To compliment the music, our event lighting and programmable light show was to die for! It turned our venue from to night-clubesque castle, creating a scene like no other.. wow.. Following the post-event blues, J&M delivered our short-story wedding video (25 minutes in length) which was INCREDIBLE! Brian was our host videographer had amazing rapport and chemistry with the wedding party and captured some of the most surreal clips one could ask for. Better yet, the team's editing skills are second to none and the film captured all of the wonderful moment's start-to-finish for us to remember for the rest of our lives. It's been months since my wedding. Initially, I was a scorned bride and I thought I should wait out how I felt after time so now I feel I can step back and write this review. The Good: Lorena was our point of contact; she was awesome, sweet, and responsive. Jose did an awesome job with designing! He hit it out of the park! Our customized gobo was beautifully displayed above us and the photo booth template was immaculate. Brian was our videographer and he was so friendly and professional. Lighting was okay. I could care less for up-lighting but the lighting didn't subtract from the aesthetic I wanted. The Bad: When we first decided to go with J&M, I had cold feet because the cost was so high for what we wanted. My husband wanted to go with them because they were on our venue's preferred vendor list. So we first got a package with a DJ & MC. When we decided to cut cost by telling J&M my brother was going to MC (which my bro did an amazing job btw), J&M didn't respond positively to the change. Since we didn't go with them for MC, they took away any in-person meetings with us due to the change. So our main method of contact was email. I had issues with this as I met with my all of vendors in person at least once (and most of my vendors multiple times) to discuss our vision. This upset me so much because I felt like this entertainment company was being petty. My second issue was the DJ on the day of the wedding. I initially emailed J&M asking if the DJ could use a Spotify playlist which they disagreed to. They told me to make a list of all the songs we wanted to be played and send it to the DJ. They told me the DJ would be in contact with us before the wedding via phone. The DJ did call toward the end of my work day a few days before the wedding but the phone call was brief. I thought that since I sent him a preferred playlist, he would be able to find all the songs in time. Then on the day of the wedding, the big thing we noticed was there were a lot of songs we wrote on the preferred list that wasn't played and a lot of songs my husband and I didn't know that was being played. We spent a lot of time curating the music for our wedding but was disappointed that all that work looking for music was a waste. The song I wanted for the father-daughter dance was not played which was very important for me. I was shocked and told them "This isn't the song!" to which the DJ replied he couldn't find it. That is bull because I could find Nat King Cole - Unforgettable ft. Natalie Cole via youtube with a simple search. Before the wedding, I was worried if there were going to be able to find the songs, which they reassured me the DJs would be able to get the music off of youtube with no problem. During the photo montage, the DJ also wasn't paying attention because he was on his phone and still had his generic set list playing. I had to go to the DJ and tell him to turn off the music. Very unprofessional. Oh, and one last thing. I'm all about aesthetics and J&M for the photo montage and throughout the night on the TVs, they had an ugly font for our names and wedding date. They also said at the White Wedding event throughout the night that the photobooth pics would be displayed on the TV screens we rented. NOPE, DIDN'T HAPPEN! I would have not rented out those screens if I had known they were not going to do it. J&M was all about making your wedding your special night when we did our consultation meeting with them. I had cold feet with them before and I regret it to this day going with them for the wedding because it wasn't what my husband and I wanted. Music sets the mood and it was a very integral part of the wedding for me. So, in the end, we got a generic J&M wedding. And what didn't make sense to me was why we spent the most amount of money with J&M compared to all the other vendors for our wedding but we never got to meet with anybody in person. My wife and I just attended the best party of our lifetime. That party was our wedding---in our backyard, which was MC'd, DJ'd, and coordinated by Jorge, Sandra, and their outstanding cast of technicians. Everything went EXACTLY as planned. From the set-up (3 hours before the event) to our ceremony - to the dance floor being jam packed for EVERY song to the last minute. Their photographer, Adam was the most professional and nice young man you could ever meet. EVERY single guest we talked to had a compliment about our event. The photo-booth they set up had an actual line for people to get in there.....that kid, operating it was hustling and I'm shocked the didn't run out of print paper. Sandra busted her rear to make sure nothing was overlooked. She made calls on our behalf weeks before the event; making sure we had enough chairs, linens, and food which she coordinated wonderfully with Wolf Creek and their epic catering staff. I would like to thank J&M entertainment for the wonderful job they did at my sisters wedding on June 21st. Jorge was the mc and was great as was Gino the dj. My family was very specific and Jorge did everything we asked and more. Everybody complimented my mother on Jorge and how great he was. The gobo they did was beyond great and every penny we spent on the lighting was worth it the room looked stunning. The only issue was there was some issues with the ink in the photo booth machine so some of the pics printed in pink and blue but it was still awesome. This review is long overdue! We booked J&M Entertainment for our wedding this past Memorial Day weekend. Where do I begin to explain awesomeness?! I'll start with our first meeting at their location in Valencia. Since we first shook hands with Jorge until we left the office, we knew we had found our DJ, MC and lighting! The meeting was 4 hours long but it never felt like 4 hours! Jorge was informative, engaging, easy going and relatable. He asked all the right questions about what we envisioned for our big day, what we would like to avoid and most importantly he addressed the dreaded question of all, "How do we get our guests involved?". Not only did Jorge and J&M Entertainment come through with everything we spoke about in-person or email/over the phone months leading up to our wedding day but they knocked it out the park! From sticking to the timeline to "rolling with the punches" of a hectic day, it was such a breath of fresh air to have them there. What MC comes over to check on the bride and groom to make sure we ate and bought us extra time to take a couple more bites?! Til' this day, all of our guests are still raving about what a great job they did. They got everyone (yes, every single person) on the dance floor (including my husband uncle who is a priest, mind you) not once but twice! I am a wedding photographer and I work with many other people who are in any given area of this industry catering to lovely couples. I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding where Dave was the MC and the DJ. His professional attitude combined with his appropriate humor was enough for me to write a review about his business, however what stood off from the rest of the MCs/DJs I worked with in the past was the fact that he obviously studied his lesson well before the event. His approach to ice-breakers, mixing the music the couple requested along with the tracks he would play feeling the vibe of the dance floor were absolutely impressive. Gino and the team at J&M were fantastic. They got us out of a bind, when we had a "Falling out" with a different company. They took our wedding on short notice, and we couldn't have been happier. Gino met with us, and took a lot of notes. We immediately liked him. He was very friendly, and receptive to our requests. The day of, he showed up early, got set up, and was dressed for the occasion. I know that seems silly, but it means a lot when it's your wedding. Our package did not include music during the cocktail hour, but Gino wasn't going to let that happen. During the event, he kept everyone engaged and lively without sounding cheesy. The music was spot on what we requested. He even remembered that I had mentioned off the cuff that "Oh Yeah" from the band "Yellow" would be awesome for the garter toss! J & M Events / J&M Entertainment was the most DISAPPOINTING vendor we have hired to date. I highly recommend going with a much more professional, customer- service friendly and dynamic company for videography. My husband and I were recommended to use J&M Events for our wedding and are so disappointed we did. We actually ended up requesting all the raw footage they took so we can send it to another company to put together a more professional video. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. -Way overpriced for the final product. -EXTREMELY unprofessional. -J & M wouldn't set up a meeting to discuss what we wanted pre wedding (they're very confident in their work and have no reason to be) -They sent us an email asking for a referral before we actually had our event or they did any work for us -They told us the video would take 3 months from our wedding date for us to receive. Not true and no one followed up. We actually had to contact them. -They requested we give them 3 songs we wanted in our video and then submitted the product to us with all the wrong songs, not one song we chose was in the video -Entire video was taken from one position with no dynamics (like a middle school graduation ceremony) with guests walking in front of the camera -When we addressed the issues via email NOTHING was fixed, only made worse -Each revision we requested took 2+ months for them to submit with the change and was poorly executed -Audio was in and out (even during our vows) -Extremely unprofessional office with terrible customer service (from the owner down) most of the time "the customer is always right", well with J&M it's the complete opposite. They defend their poor work to the bitter end while telling you that their work is flawless (treating you like an idiot and don't know what a good wedding video looks like). We were the most disappointed after all of the above that we spoke to the owner, Sandra Lopez, hoping there was something she thought could be done. After all, this is the service industry where the customer should matter enough to pass off referrals and aid in the company growth. Assuming they would offer some kind of refund etc., they came back telling us to purchase our own 32 GB usb flash drive if we wanted any raw footage and that's it. No money back, no empathy despite our dissatisfaction and countless issues addressed via email. Mind you, it took J&M 11 months from our wedding date to come to this conclusion. They felt they did impeccable work -Their argument is that "our office watched your video and we all think it looks amazing." Ultimately, the company took no responsibility for their mistakes or cared to make our video everything they guaranteed it would be. The final result: We requested a refund (after 11 months of trying to work with them) and our raw footage to pay another company to put it together. To top it all off, they sent us a final product of our video and claimed it got lost at UPS and had to re-track it and have it resent to us. Save yourself the headache and frustration and go with a talented and professional company. read more

Im a wedding videographer. I had a chance to work along side J&M on a wedding. Jorge Lopez and his team were just awesome. aside from being great M.C's and making the venue look great, they really helped me out in a time of need. In Videography, they say your best piece of equipment is the one you left at home. After i realized I forgot a crucial audio cable, Jorge was kind enough to let me use one of theirs, not only that but he helped me monitor my audio levels from his soundboard. they are great team players. read more

My husband passed away suddenly in August and I needed to arrange his "Celebration of Life". I called Juli with J&M. She asked all the right questions to find out just what I wanted and then told me her plan. She did everything and I didn't have to worry. She got all the rentals and set them up, she set up the sound system so people could tell stories, she set up the video screen and had the slide show running. When it turned out to be over 100 degrees, she changed the plan to get as many tables inside as she could. Hiring J&M entertainment was THE BEST thing I did for my wedding. When you're wedding planning, every thing that can go wrong, does. I was disappointed with a few of my vendors but the best money spent was on J&M. We hired them for the DJ/host package, lighting, and special effects. To make a long story short, let me just say that these guys delivered. They know how to make a wedding fun. I have been fantasizing of having J&M djing/mcing my wedding since my cousins wedding in 2007. When I got engaged in 2012, J&M was the first entertainment company I contacted!! I was finally getting the fun wedding I have always wanted! My husband and I got married this past Saturday, June 14, 2014 and it was everything we expected and more. Jorge was our MC and he kept the reception flowing smoothly, we did not have to worry about a thing and for that I am forever grateful (since it was an at home wedding). We could not be happier with the service J&M provided for our wedding! We had the pleasure of meeting with Jorge during our first meeting and knew we had to look no further. From the beginning, Jorge was interested in learning about us as a couple and making sure that our vision became a reality on our wedding day. He worked with us through the last minute - even during some last minute changes and unexpected kinks the day of. Our guests did not even noticed we had a few delays. In my Asian wedding reception planning (the worst part about getting married), they were definetly the heaviest chunk in our budget. Our DJ/coordinator, Dave, was very patient with my crazy family and I recommend their services. They have lots of options for lighting, music, and entertainment all around. This is looooong overdue! When I got engaged in July of 2013, I knew I wanted the DJ that my cousin had at his wedding which was probably 10 years prior. I remembered how fun it was and I remembered the MC who made it fun! When we spoke to the MC, he really wanted to get to know us and asked us questions so that he knew what we were and weren't comfortable with. Gino was our MC and he was AMAZING.
