The staff here were very friendly and we were lucky to participate in one of the trivia night events held here. We sat in the outdoor patio since the host lady had her own speaker system. Our waitress came by in a pretty slow frequency but she was always smiling and ready to assist us with whatever we needed. I really appreciated the staff also turning on their personal heat lamps since it was super windy! We all picked what sounded most delicious to us and the prices are pretty reasonable for what is on them. The plates here are pretty filling and enough to make you full and satisfied. Most of my group actually couldn't fully finish the dish, but maybe because we were all also very focused on getting the trivia questions right! Haha. The bread and sauce combo was absolutely a star. First visit, when I opened the door, the inside of the restaurant reeked like a fish market. There's no way I could sit inside this restaurant, but they did have an outside patio in which I sat. I had the smoky ranch salad. Overall, it was good, except for the few onion rings that topped the salad - these were cold and tasted like they were left over from lunch (they definitely were not fresh and they should not have served them on my salad). It's been a long time since I actually ate inside the restaurant. We usually get dinner to go. This time I enjoyed lunch and ate inside the dining room. Our server was very helpful and welcoming. She gave us time to order and did not rush us. We ordered from the lunch specials menu. 1/2 caprese sandwich and green and gorgonzola salad and a cheese pizza with green & gorgonzola salad. The pizza crust was light and perfectly cooked. The lunch sizes are large with plenty to take home or share. I love the green and gorgonzola salad. Fresh greens, crumbled gorgonzola, candied walnuts, onions and tomatoes. The caprese sandwich was full of flavor and fresh. Wolfcreek has a nice lunch menu and well as a full menu with lots of food options. There is a reason this place has been here for over 25 years. The whole meal tasted house made from the spread with the sour dough to the ranch dressing on side. The bread on the burger was fluffy and light. The sourdough was fresh and warm. Stopped by after a meeting last night since I was in the area. If you've never been you must come even just to try the tapenade which is soooo delicious. This restaurant has a lovely indoor seating area, an outdoor seating area, and also a nice bar area. As a female I can tell you this is one location that I feel confident to come alone and feel safe to sit at their bar if I wanted to. My waitress was so friendly and attentive and I orderd the House Golden Eagle beer which I must say was very refreshing and delicious. I think that will be my go to beer from now on. This arrived with the complimentary bread and tapenade which I inhaled quickly because the tapenade tastes SO GOOD. To eat I got the Cajun coconut shrimp as a starter. The portion was generous and the shrimp was perfection, crunchy on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside, I loved the dipping sauce. I ate the entire thing so when my main entree arrived I was actually already getting full lol. I got the blackened chicken sandwich which is my go to at Wolf Creek, it is a delicious sandwich that makes me feel very satisfied. I'm excited to eat it today for lunch since I took it to go because I was full from the shrimp. The sandwich comes with fries and you have the choice of plain or Cajun seasoning, I chose to go with plain and they were exactly how I like them. Had a wonderful time playing a Trivia night here on Monday night in the patio area. Sue was a blast of a host and she took account the names of the 2 birthday celebrants we were celebrating in our group. I thought that it was a great addition to our night, ontop of the food we got. Maria was our server and she checked in on us pretty frequently while we were there!!! Food ratings: Bread plate- Our appetizers. Pretty standard bread with a crust outside and soft inside. It was accompanied with olive dip. Jambalaya- This plate was pretty good but as time went on, the spice began to really build up for me. My spice tolerance is also pretty low. The flavors and the pasta noodles were good but yeah I did feel like there was a good amount of red peppers in my plate. Had some extras for leftovers. Tri-Tip Plate- You can choose what sauce you want with your meat (which can be cooked to your liking). We didn't like how the meat was literally doused in the sweet, tangy BBQ sauce. It was tender but yeah, the sauce felt like too much and it made the plate too sweet somehow. Sundried Tomato Pesto- The linguini noodles were delicious and creamy with the sauce. Good flavored pasta. Pine nuts included!!! Be aware for any allergies. Good portion size, took some home to-go. Spicy Thai pizza- Has peanut sauce and almonds on the dough. It was enjoyed by my friends and they found it pretty tasty. The beers on tap were pretty delicious, some of us ordered another. Highly recommend this restaurant as they have many meat and vegetarian options which was perfect for our group. They serve bread that comes with an olive type of dip upon being seated. They have both indoor and outdoor Patio seating. The patio seating is covered and peaceful perfect for meeting up with friends or a group. They have several alcohol and non-alcoholic options (mocktails). Food was delicious and I felt was plenty in portion for what you pay. The vegetarian sandwich came with fries that had a spicy kick and were delicious. You CANNOT leave without trying their desserts the cheesecake or bread pudding was fantastic and we shared in a group of 4 and left no crumbs because it was delicious. Wolf Creek is a solid meal and there is no other way to put it. They have a great menu with so many choices. I feel like you could eat there 10 times and try something different each time. There was one vegan in our group today and you know what, they had a vegan section of the menu. I had the fish and chips because I'm a sucker for fish and chips on a menu. It did not disappoint except I ordered the two piece and kind of wish I ordered the three piece. Third person got tacos and loved them for sure. It really feels like a neighborhood gem that I need to visit more often. They seem to have many themed nights and happy hours. There's plenty of seating both inside and out. Next time around I think the pizza will be something to try. And I can't not speak about the love tapenade that we ended up buying a container of to take home with some bread. read more

I have been here several times and today decided to order the chicken lime tacos. I was shocked at how horrible this food was! There was not a hint of lime, the chicken had no flavor at all, the guacamole was at least 2 days old and also tasteless, and the so called spicy Mexican rice was flavorless. My meal cost $36 with tip and i would have preferred to throw the money out my window rather than eat this slop! Do better Wolf Creek! They deserve negative stars for serving this disgusting 'food'! read more

Dip. THE. OLIVE. DIP. In all my culinary experiences, I've never had all of dip with bread like they serve at this restaurant olive dip alone is the reason I drove over here. You get craft beer anywhere but there's only one place you can get this olive dip. I don't know why more people don't do it, but it is literally epic and I drove over here. 15 minutes. Out of my way having already been in town just to taste it and it did not disappoint me. It was absolutely EPIC For the fish and chips well vinegar served in double ramekins when I asked for actually said the bottle is acceptable, but definitely should bring a bottle to accompany my plate having expressed my love for malt vinegar. So if I can be completely honest, the cod was extremely well cooked extremely moist, juicy, and flavorful perfectly cooked God that seemed fresh, which is a huge win. I contention is pretty subjective. The breading is a little dry and a little bit more like the bread you would expect on a chicken tender for a kids meal as opposed to the greasy Full skin type of beer, battered crisping of the fish and chips in the car you're gonna get out your typical Irish pub kind of more in the potato tradition I would say what kind of over here and the granola and olive tradition. I give it a 10 out of 10 without question more importantly Joel was epic and totally was able to read what I needed as a Barfly. I made reservations at Wolf Creek for Sunday brunch with a friend. I arrived a few minutes early. I was greeted immediately as I walked in. The hostess was so kind to get me seated and let me relax while I waited. Service began shortly after my friend arrived. The fresh bread was nice. We ordered salads -- the Cilantro Caesar with Shrimp and the Asian Chicken -- good portions, fresh and tasty. The people are super friendly. We were checked on often and never rushed. This place feels like a locals spot, lots of senior citizens. It gives the vibe of an upgraded Coco's but with a beer and breakfast angle. They do serve lunch but the options are pretty basic and limited. Ex: you can't order a plate of hot wings outside of happy hour but you can order a trio appetizer plate with them on it. I was in the mood for hot wings, my boyfriend breakfast. So we had : The chicken tenders with the chili sauce: the meat, good quality, cooked well. The flavor and texture horrible. I offered the chipotle and it was tangy and very tomatoey. I thought maybe taking them home and re-heating would make a difference, nope. My 8 year old verbalized he did not like them. And he is usually very polite when he doesn't care for something so for him to tell us. We knew they just weren't good but they give you a lot. Which was nice. 2/10. Wasted $15-17. Caesar side salad: was ok. Nothing fancy but I do recommend the lettuce not being too wet (don't know if it's from them washing the lettuce first but it was little soggy) 5/10 Butter brown sugar pancakes: 8/10 without the syrup. They were the right color, they were thick. The syrup, when it comes out you're already intrigued it's not brown. It's like a yellow, indicative of the butter they use along with lots of brown sugar. It's too sweet and buttery! Crazy for us with sweet tooth's. So next time regular syrup. But best cakes in town. Chicken breakfast sausage: 8/10- had a really nice flavor to them a there was a little a crisp on them too. Eggs: 5/10 . You can't mess up eggs. They came out bland and with a sneeze of cheese on them. White at that. Don't think we were asked what kind of cheese we wanted. Potatoes: 7/10. Again no flavor outside of the ingredients. Huge chunks including of peppers and onions. Dress these up with salt, ketchup and hot sauce. Pineapple Punch: 0/10 . Horrible. Watered down pineapple beer. I even asked if it was sweet and got a yes, me thinking it was more of a punch. Nope. Gross. Wasted $10 Service: our primarily waiter his attentiveness was forced. You could feel it was him just putting on a face to get through his shift. He wasn't rude or not helpful, he just wasn't there 100%. He didn't ask us questions or give advice.. He only came by when we waived for him (which most people would like but because it took a while for us to figure out what I wanted since hot wings wasn't an option... ) and when I asked about a couple things , like the hot wings, no alternatives were thrown out . He was ok, I guess I understand just wanting to be kind enough to get by but really wanting to be home. We had another waiter, he brought the food out. Recognized the young man, a local , a student who's grown up in the SCV area. This impressed us, as we love seeing the community embrace its youth and provide opportunity. A top being proud of this young man, working and he was working his behind off. We got to watch him before he noticed and recognized us. He brought the food out quick, whatever we requests we had he was on it. And he was polite. Our table was seldom cleared and we found ourselves stacking dishes and putting them off to the side. You can tell the place isn't popular anymore. I'm not sure I'll be back. Came to check out their Happy Hour - great menu and great happy hour prices. We had the pizza and the sliders with truffle fries. The pizza was undercooked, the crust was soggy and gummy. The sliders were tasty, but the truffle fries were overcooked and hard. We sat out on the patio and the service was excellent. Very attentive and even brought water out for the pup. Unfortunately, the patio was buzzing with so many flies! Everyone on the patio was waving their hands driving flies away. We'll come back and try again, but for now, they were just okay. read more

We have been to WC many times and we've always had a great experience, and today was no different. We came after the lunch rush hour and the place had a few patrons. We were seated right away! Our server was Brenda, very nice and pleasant- attentive for sure. We noticed right away the menu looked different in a sense that the selections were smaller. I've never been to Wolf Creek before and we decided to go for my moms birthday. We should've reconsidered. Three members of our party took one bite of their food and couldn't continue. All three were chicken dishes and the chicken tasted very off, almost fishy. The chicken piccata sauce was broken and completely unbalanced. The mustard thyme chicken tasted bitter and had far too much dry thyme. The chicken crustada also tasted terrible and was the fishiest tasting dish of all(dirty oil most likely). Our waitress was sweet, apologetic, and extremely helpful. I wish I had remembered to ask for her name. We ordered tri tip and hanger steak instead after sending back the chicken. The manager also apologized for our negative experience, took off the added gratuity charge, and gave my mom a complimentary dessert to go because we had brought her a cake. However, there are serious issues within the kitchen that need to be addressed. Fishy chicken, broken sauces, and watery frozen vegetables were the last thing I expected from a restaurant that has remained open this long. Disappointing. read more

Although the chicken tasted crispy then honey on it just tasted more slapped on rather than incorporated into the chicken if that makes sense. It felt more out of place than anything. The fries were super crispy. The bread was fluffy and that olive sauce for the bread was interesting. If you like olives you'll like but if you don't then it will just taste weird. This is one of the best restaurants in the SCV. Food and service are top notch. We've taken quite a few large groups here and they have always handled it with aplomb. Our last group took up the entire patio and they managed to serve the group with a smile and in an organized manner. And I know it was a lot of people. The tuna itself was low quality and flavorless. Husband got a burger and the patty was so small and the bun was too big that the bread overwhelmed the burger. We were pleasantly surprised when we got our food at Wolf Creek. I mean I had read the great reviews but didn't think it would be as great as it actually turned out! I LOVED the scampi ! What generous portions, enough to share! The kids menu is bumping, no joke! My kids loved everything we ordered, and the quality of food was definitely there as well. I think the only miss on the mark was the German chocolate cake which was EXTREMELY sweet! I'm talking kilos of sugar per bite. We won't ever be ordering that again, but we do look forward to trying other desserts which they say are made daily. Our server was friendly and very nice to interact with. The manager, a kind lady also kept checking on tables to ensure everyone was content. We definitely appreciate this as well. A fun spot with a cute outdoor patio for some fresh air. Super disappointed. We read the descriptions of the Mother's Day specials menu and were really excited to go. The salmon dish was supposed to have a red pepper cream sauce, served with wild rice and broccolini. It wasn't a cream sauce - more of a red pepper topping, served with white rice and asparagus. They said they ran out of wild rice, which is interesting because we were there at 4:30 and the specials menu started at 4:00. Husband had the filet and it was cut in half! Who cuts a filet unless you're trying to hide the fact that maybe it isn't a filet? It was drowned in a very delicious sauce, but if you're trying to serve fine dining food it should be fine dining food. Sauce should be an accompaniment. And when the filet has to be cut in half (but why???), make sure medium rare is medium rare as ordered and not medium well because it is now a thin cut steak. Major fail. Make sure specials menus are delivered as described or tell patrons ahead of time about the changes that needed to be made. read more

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and ordered the soup and salad, their specialty Bayou Chicken, and the Chicken Crustada. Everything was flavorful, and the portions were generous--we had more than enough food for the next day. Laina was a friendly host who welcomed us warmly and guided us in since we came in through the wrong door. Mario was our server, and he was great--attentive and kind throughout our meal. Family took me to Wolfcreek for Mother's Day brunch! It was Fabulous! The selection could NOT have been any better. Crab eggs Benedict, prime rib, omelet bar, salmon picatta, shrimp cocktail, mimosas etc, plus kid selection and all the regular food for breakfast. You could not leave hungry. Warm hospitality by the staff. It was St Patrick's Day and I looked forward to visiting this place. We were seated before the rush, and were served the delicious olive tapenade and bread. As appetizers, we ordered the bacon flight which was fun, loved the unique flavors of each of the bacon...and also had a Whipped Cottage cheese and granola bowl that tasted like a lovely dessert, more than a "healthy" option. We were given a St Patrick's Day menu special, aside from their other menu, but feeling like I had to celebrate St Patrick's Day, I opted for the Corn Beef Brisket. Oh, my...I loved it! Reminded me of how my mother use to make it! My daughter ordered a traditional French toast, and it was perfect. We definitely will be coming back. Stumbled across this place on yelp looking for places to eat being in the area on a Sunday afternoon. We love a good brewery and some food but we were blown away by this place. We got a hot honey pizza and a blackened chicken pasta ( which was moderately spicy which i loved) but OMG both dishes were amazing. Our server who was also the bartendet did not get her namr but she was awesome!
