John understood the proposed project and took immediate action to understand the infrastructure before providing us an adroit assessment. It is a practice that is indicative of a quality practitioner is his field. Perfect. Project 2: Crown molding repair: We purchases this residence a few months ago. A piece of the crown molding within one of the rooms magically decided to fall from the ceiling one day. You can imagine how pleasant that was. John knew immediately what to do how to do it. The crown molding is now repaired better than preexisting. Project 3: Refrigerator Handles: With a custom refrigerator and decorative handles, it wasn't your average appliance repair. The veneer panel and associated brackets needed to be delicately removed to facilitate the necessary repair. John was excellent in this project. Not only does he have the experience repairing high-end kitchens, but possesses a skillful eye for craftsmanship and detail. I paid $1,150 for this work and expected it to be done professionally. Unfortunately, the results were very disappointing. They sent five painters who rushed through the entire job in just 5 hours. Instead of properly sanding and preparing the unfinished plywood shelves before painting, they primed and applied two coats of oil-based paint directly onto the rough surface. The result is that all of my shelves are now extremely rough and unusable. When I raised my concerns, the owner, Billy, claimed that he gave me the option to have the shelves sanded first and that I declined. That is absolutely not true--of course I would have agreed to proper preparation and even paid extra for a quality job. Instead, I am now stuck with shelves that need to be completely replaced by another contractor, costing me even more time and money. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Hubb Painting South Florida. Poor workmanship, lack of proper preparation, and denial of responsibility made this a very frustrating experience.
