I caught pneumonia in September 2024 and spent almost 3 weeks in hospitals. When I came home I couldn't get around without a walker, and my mind wasn't 100%. My wife and I have Long Term Care insurance so we filed a claim and asked J & M Homecare Services to provide us with a caregiver. They assigned Linda Mc Kee to our case and she was outstanding. She helped me get better with the walker, and then to work with a cane. She also worked with me on my cognitive problems, and helped us with other activities. My mother recently had a complex surgery and was going to need long term home care. As I live 350 miles away in Los Angeles (and could not leave my job for a prolonged period of time), we were going to need in-home care. Watch your money! They will take what they want!! They required credit card info in order to start service with them. I wasn't comfortable with this but I needed caregiver help desperately for my mom who has Alzheimer's right away. Long story short, I lost almost $900 for caregivers that did not provide care! They sent caregivers to my mom's house. Each time my mom wouldn't let them in. They DID NOT INFORM ME that they would be charging me for the full shift of each caregiver whether they stayed or not!!! It's wrong not to communicate this "small detail" to a client, then take their money (and not a small amount either). Had I been informed of this I would never have agreed to keep sending caregivers!!! Not Fair. Not Professional. Not Ethical! read more

My family has personally used and would highly recommend that anyone reach out to Frank & Kelly Miller, owners of J&M Home Care. During the early phase of my Dad's dementia, my Mom had surgery. She was not ready to consider having my Dad moved to a full-time care home, so we interviewed several people to help with BOTH of their care. After my mom recovered, she still had my Dad's favorite caregiver come to her home, she not only helped care for my Dad but could do errands for my Mom, walk with my Dad outside or do tasks in their home (i.e. light cooking). When my Mom needed a break, she could have time outside of their home knowing a safe caregiver was there at a price she could afford. Kelly and Frank Miller (owners) have an incredible staff and years of experience with the needs in-home care requires. Specifically, when we were not sure how to navigate the process, Kelly answered all of my questions and provided the necessary staff to help my family understand how they could assist us when we could not be there. Their ease of administration, staff who could help us with general insurance questions, and ability to find the right in-home care giver, we felt really good about the support we were able to provide my parents.
