My gourami is still swimming happily with his new plants today. My second visit I bought a few tetras and an African dwarf frog (which was a dream pet for me!) and I also got some more plants... Unfortunately I had an issue with my tanks nitrate levels and my tetras weren't doing too hot. I called him immediately to ask for advice and he gave me great advice that ended up saving my tetras. He really cares about what he does and his customers. He carries all ranges of fish, saltwater, freshwater, giant and tiny. Even stingrays and eels. All of his fish are quarantined prior to arriving in his store, so his fish are healthy and taken care of. He has many plants and will accommodate special requests for you. Lucky me, that was my dog's groomer, (Petco in south Tampa). I had told her what I wanted, which was a trim and for him to still look like a teddy. It was his first grooming experience. She told me that his fur is knotted and that she can't brush it but that she had to cut it short, and that she would leave his tail and face looking like a teddy. She was very condescending during our conversation, and the other groomers could tell she was agitated with me and refused to do the cut I requested. I told her what I wanted. 4+hr later, his fur completely shaved off. The fur on top of his head was so uneven. My pup was acting like if he was treated badly and was lethargic the entire ride home and the rest of the night. Even my friend noticed how he wasn't acting like his usual self. He was quiet and he was covering his face. Doodles are known for being very happy and loving. They act like humans sometimes which makes it easy to read their body language. These groomers need to be taught how to be respectful to the customers and to the dogs. I know for a fact, she purposely and maliciously shaved my dog's entire fur off because of our drop off interaction. She's lucky I didn't make a huge scene when I picked up my dog. He was unrecognizable!! I even said "THAT's MY DOG!????? Are you sure!! He looks like a rat! I attached the before and after photos. NEVER AGAIN! She needs some better training. She shouldn't be working with dogs until she has completed proper customer interaction classes and dog care.

When I began to challenge and question, they replied that usually dogs show signs when this is needed. I responded that he had shown signs, has for weeks, and I've been doing this for six years with him and know when it's necessary. The staff was young and looked back at me with blank eyes. When I asked for a refund, since the service was not even done, I received a response of "I could get in trouble." Why not bring a manager out then? To not provide a needed service for my dog and then refuse to give me a refund is absurd.
