We were able to get a same day appointment & my boyfriend and I came in just to see what was there...we ended up leaving with our little pup Sage whom we love so much already! The parking is very limited and it's definitely better to call ahead because they don't let a lot of people in at once. All the puppies I saw were healthy, happy, and playful.. The location of the business is what makes the place seem a little questionable but the staff was great and so helpful. We had no issues. We had an appointment right after meeting out puppy and they let us come pick her up afterwards! So nice. Bought my dog here as a puppy a few years ago. The worker who first "helped" me was extremely rude and turned me away and I'm guessing it's since the dog was pretty expensive. Second lady was helpful so I got the dog from her. When I got him examined a week later by my own trusted vet, I found out he had a hernia. They told me I could just "swap" him for another dog or get it repaired at a vet of their choice.... It was pretty obvious he came from a puppy mill but I really wanted to take him out of that poo filled cage he was in. I paid to have my TRUSTED vet perform the surgery on him. 4 years strong and he's still doing great. I would definitely avoid this place. read more

First off, I'm a believer in adopt don't shop, but this is an ~okay~ place to look at cute puppies in your free time. It's your average puppy shop with very young and adorable pups at outrageous prices. There are two different rooms, one when you walk in where there are the small pups and in the back are the bigger pups. This place is nice in the way that anybody can play with the pups and find the one that they vibe with the best. There are four little gated areas where people can play with their choice of a pup and they have little treats available for 25 cents. All the dogs have little tags that say their breed and also their birth date. Most I've seen are about 2 months old. Kind of makes me sad because they're separated from their mother. All of their little cribs have paper shreds for their comfort and seem to usually get changed when the pup does their thing, which is nice- but when I saw an employee change it, I didn't see any gloves or anything done like sanitizing to make sure the pups will be healthy. On the topic of sanitizing, I've been here 3 times they do not AT ALL enforce that those who come in should sanitize their hands before playing with the pups. They can get very sick this way. A lot of the puppy cribs have their bowls upside down and no staff seem to care or want to fix it. The staff all seem angry and unhappy, especially a certain man, unsure of his name (short, Caucasian, stands around in corners with arms crossed and yells). Also parking is behind the store and is a very small limited parking lot. You will be lucky if you find a spot. read more

A lady came in protesting against puppy mills, and the employee of just puppies started assaulting her and physically hitting her, then started choking her, pushed her against the ground as hard as he could and then push her again against a fence. What a terrible experience !!!! I understand she was being a little too crazy by protesting and yelling, but he had NO excuse to hit her, choke her and shove her to a fence as hard as he could. This is a clean place, not overcrowded with puppies, but regardless, it is very obvious these are mill dogs. I came to see a chihuahua puppy and brought a dog savvy friend with me to check for illnesses. The puppy was underage, even though it said 8 weeks on her documents. How ever, this dog could only toddle around like a younger puppy would. Her gums were white, belly big, and hip bones were prominent. It was obvious she had worms. She was also barking and whining like crazy, even cuddling her didn't soothe her. I suspect again this is because of being taken away too early. She would even try to suckle on my finger. The cherry on the cake is when they wouldn't disclose any pictures of her parents, and the breeder listed has no website or reviews. Pretty sketchy! read more

This place sucks. I bought my beautiful golden retriever from there. She's awesome but has inbred problems. Her fur is very short and her eyes are droopier than normal. She also hasn't had her first period yet. The staff is horribly rude. I hope they all get fired. I had an important document in my hand. I couldn't leave it in my car because I had walked to just puppies from the office I was at, and I wanted to lighten my day and see some puppies. I asked the old ass lady behind the counter if I could leave my document behind the counter (super nicely) until I was done petting the dogs. When we were looking for our goldendoodle about two months ago, my boyfriend suggested stopping in Just Puppies after seeing one on their website. "Let's just see what they have." We went to see the red goldendoodle and I have never met a sadder, more depressed dog in my entire life. This poor doodle was in a pen filled with shredded paper and a husky who tried everything to get him/her to play. We spent 10 minutes trying to engage the dog but it was clear that he/she was deeply unhappy. That dog was depressed. I drive by the store on my way home every single night. The store NEVER turns their lights off. The windows and doors are shuttered close but the lights are ALWAYS ON. Even at 3:00 AM. Even at 6:00 AM. THE LIGHTS ARE ALWAYS ON. Imagine living in an enclosed pen where you never experience darkness. Your body clock would be completely screwed up. We did not purchase our goldendoodle from this store and based on our experience with the depressed doodle that we saw, we will never patronize this establishment. read more

A few years ago, I purchased a puppy from this store and he was absolutely adorable! Since then, I have returned several times to look at additional animals. However, over the years, service has gone down hill and there is no longer a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's actually - become quite aggressive and even violent! On Sunday, September 16th, I was visiting Just Puppies at approximately 3:30pm in the afternoon. At this time, a woman (suburban housewife type) entered the store and began expressing her concerns about the well being of the animals. A very gruff male employee began chasing her out of the store and began to assault her outside the windows. He choked her, pushed her on to the ground and threatened to punch her in the face if she didn't leave. The lady was able to escape the man and began banging on the windows... several patrons of the store began making jokes and NO employees intervened. The man began chasing the woman down the street and pushed her against a cyclone fence and was assaulting her. This assault caused traffic to stop and men began to come to the defense of the woman. I called 911 for immediate help because the woman was in danger of being seriously hurt by this maniac. Who knew that shopping for a puppy could become so dangerous?!? I definitely will NOT be returning to this location and highly recommend that you avoid this place - poor company ethics and potentially dangerous to your safety & life!!! read more

I bought my little Boston terrier from Just puppies in January 2018. I had a great experience with this store. They let you play with the all puppies and there is no pressure for you to buy. One of the employees, Ashley, gave me all the information i needed to feel comfortable buying my new puppy (first time dog owner). He also gave me a bag of dog food, two collars, a leash, and a vet recommendation. Since that time my new Boston terrier pup, Otis, is 8 months and has had no issues. He's a great friendly dog and I would buy from them again. I also wouldn't mind stopping by again just to play with the dogs. read more

I'm not going to review this place based on my beliefs on puppy mills and these types of establishments. I am going to however, rate it based on my experience. They are generally cleaner than other establishments I've seen. That is about it. Staff isn't very friendly and my biggest problem has to be the fact that their puppies were sick. I got my puppy from them and I love him to death but he had parvo virus. The second day home we had to take him to the emergency room. Parvo virus is extremely contagious and sure enough when I went back they were closed and half the dogs were gone. The fact they still remain open after such a deadly virus was running rampant inside that store bewilders me. If you go in there and see any pups that are extra lethargic or not interested there's probably something wrong. They did pay for my vet bills however. That is why they get two stars. read more

Normally I love coming here when I visit home from college, but recently I have been hearing negative things about it but chose to ignore them. Today I visited with a friend from home and I was holding a dog in one arm against my torso, taking a picture and a short Caucasian man with a beard came over to me and gave me MAJOR attitude for "holding the dog with one hand" and that "I won't drop my precious little phone but I would drop the dog." I am extremely careful and gentle with any and all animals, especially since I've had dogs my whole life. I was considering getting the dog I was holding (hence the picture taking) when he yelled at me, but it made my friend and I so mad that it completely put me off the mood and we left. On November 24th (a little over 3 months ago) my 11 year old daughter asked me if we can go to Just Puppies to look at all the cute puppies. I said sure but I'm not buying a dog...we can go to look because seeing all the puppies puts you in a good mood. We walked around and played with a few of them and then we were heading out the door...my daughter spotted a couple of Huskies in the back room and asked me if she could go see them (by the way that's her favorite breed of dog) I walked back there with her and I immediately picked one of them up and it was love at first sight...needless to say we ended up buying him and I have no regrets. He's my baby...I love him so much...he's a fantastic, well mannered little boy. The staff was so nice and extremely helpful. I saw this area when an employee went in the back. The poor dogs were in small cages and in the dark. The employees were beyond rude. None of them looked like they wanted to be there or help anyone. The store is very clean and well staffed. The puppy selection was excellent and we easily found our puppy to take home. The price was just in line and a good value. WORST EXPERIENCE. I go to college in the area, and sometimes after a stressful day, I liked to come to just puppies to brighten my day. from the first time I came, the staff were unfriendly and disinterested in their customers and dogs, but the last two times I visited made me realize just how bad an establishment this is. The first terrible experience I had was about a week ago on Friday at around 5:00. I walk in and visited all of the pens that were open, and then see a puppy I would like to hold in one of the locked pens. At the time, the employee working with customers had another locked pen open for two other customers. I waited patiently for about 11 minutes, and then asked, "When you are finished with that pen, could I please hold a dog in this one"? the employee looked me up and down and then dismissively said "Once I'm done here," as she turns back around. no smile or a polite yes or certainly, and didn't want to look me in the eye. she lets the other ladies play in the open pen for another 4-6 minutes before she closes it. This whole time, I stood by the pen I was interested quietly and did not bother her again about my request. When she does finally come over, she looks me up and down a SECOND time before she opens the pen. The other two ladies were also interested in the pen, and picked up two other puppies in the pen I asked the employee to open. She lets us hold the dogs in the pen for about 3 minutes, stares at me the whole time, and then tells me the dogs are getting tired and that she needs to close the pen. Meanwhile, the dogs' she's referring to are jumping all over the place and tackling and nibbling each other. They are clearly not tired at all. She gestures insistently that I put the dog down as if I'm not a customer who might be interested in taking the little angel home. In my mind I'm thinking, aren't you supposed to want me to take a dog? apparently not. I put the dog down and left. My second bad experience was yesterday evening, at around 4:30. I had a little bit of time before I had to be at dinner with my friends, and I decided to pop in. When I walk in, the woman who was rude to me the first time smiled and welcomed me, but was clearly watching me intently the whole time I'm walking around the store. At this point, I've been in the store several times, sometimes more than once a week, and I know that this employee has seen that I've never put a dog in danger, and I am now curious as to why she would be so rude to me and then act as if I am a friend of hers. A few minutes later, I pick up a puppy, and a little girl comes over and asks politely if she could hold the dog. Her parents are with her and they smile at me and say hello, and I return the smile and hand the little girl the dog. As I reach to pick up the other dog in the pen, an older male employee approaches me and asks 'Are you with that little girl?' no hello, or anything and I respond, "No, I'm not, she-" he interrupts me to tell me that I shouldn't be handing dogs to children without their parents. He didn't give me a chance to say that the parents were the people standing right next to her. I understand his concern that a child might drop a puppy, but he had no right to approach me angrily without understanding the situation properly. I did not get a chance to explain that her parents were with her and had smiled and said hello to me as well. He continued to lecture me, and got into my personal space and stared me down. After he'd explained why I shouldn't have handed the girl the dog twice. And I apologized for a situation that he'd misunderstood. Twice. He continued to stare at me, and eventually, I stepped back, feeling uncomfortable with this man being so close to me that I can smell his breath, and he backed off. I felt so humiliated that I left without a second thought. In this store, the employees are aggressive and assuming you are putting animals in danger when you are not. I am very disappointed in how they treat potential customers who have done nothing but be respectful and gentle in their store. I would not recommend visiting this store if you like to be treated with respect. They clearly are not interested in being remotely polite to their customers, and I hope that someone stands up to them for the explosive and unnecessary way they treat customers over their phones and interacting with each other in general. Clearly, if you speak to another customer, you are expected to know them or have walked in with them, or else you are breaking their rules. I will NEVER visit again. read more

In February 2017, I saw a picture of a puppy on-line and had to go see her. We drove all the way from West Palm Beach. When we got there we found her almost immediately (someone else was playing with her and I got scared they were going to get her before I could.) Well long story short we were blessed with our girl! She was very reasonably priced compared to all of the shops in Palm Beach County. They want up to 10 grand around here.... ridiculous, right? I have seen all of really negative reviews and I personally don't understand them. We had a wonderful experience with friendly employees and now we have a the best little dog in the world! read more

Asked to look at the Pomeranian puppies because they're locked up, unlike the other ones, and was told that "Pomeranians are mainly for purchase." ....Aren't they trying to sell all of their puppies? That already left a bad taste in my mouth. I end up getting to hold the puppies & not 2 minutes later was rudely approached and told to "go ahead and put them away because I was overwhelming them and they've had enough attention from me." Decided quickly after that to not purchase a puppy from them. Staff is unprofessional and low class. They treat their animals like merchandise rather than animals. That is until a few dogs started acting up, then a worker with a rat tail came and started hitting the cage and yelling at the dogs to stop. I rescued an adorable golden retriever/ husky mix at 8 weeks old. She was sick and I did have to spend money on her to nurse her back to health but it was WELL worth it. If your argument to that is "Well I'll just buy a puppy from a store that isn't sick because I don't have that kind of money"... Well then guess what you can't afford a dog in the first place. Dogs are expensive. Don't shop. Adopt. Every time someone buys from one of these despicable stores, you too are contributing to puppy mills. It starts with you. read more
