Ok so I called J&M on a Holiday weekend and they answered. One star....They had me take a picture of the tree to be removed and gave me a bid right then...Another Star....They were able to schedule the work to be done same day (I understand this may have been just great timing) but still in my book...another star. Here's were it gets amazing. 4 guys and very nice lady, medium size truck, mobile chipper job done in 40 Mins! What?! Takes me longer than that to mow my lawns! Absolutely amazing work! Mike and the guys don't mess around. These guys get the JOB DONE! And clean up? Not a branch or even a leaf was left....just a nice evenly mulched area where a 30ft tree used to be. I am a hands on guy who doesn't like to spend money on tasks I can do myself, but I'm calling J & M next season for all my tree shaping/trimming needs. If I could give more Stars I would! The guys at J & M Tree Service were the most friendly, knowledgeable and professional people I have met in a long time. They truly understand the meaning of great customer service, which is very refreshing. They came out on a Saturday afternoon just to give an estimate for removing one tree and we ended up having them remove 5 trees total plus grind 2 stumps from previously cut trees, all that afternoon. The price was incredibly reasonable and very fair and they even took the time to advise us on the care of the other trees in our yard. I was amazed at how fast they worked and when they were finished, they cleaned everything up and it actually looked cleaner than when they arrived. Called these guys for a quote to remove a huge pepper tree that was threatening my foundation. They immediately got back to me, told me to shoot them some pics from my cell phone and they would give me a quote over the phone. Not only was the quote accurate but very convenient. Extremely responsive to all my communications and courteous! Within 24 hours of my initial contact...they had the tree out, roots gone, stump gone, and all debris removed. Great price and phenomenal work! While here he pointed out some other potential "problem" plants and began to tell me how to get them out of there...he stopped short and said "you know what, I will just remove them for you" then got to work...at NO EXTRA COST! J & M Tree Service just completed a day rate job at my Sisters Home in De Luz. Mike and his crew worked into the dark of the evening. All the work was completed, many trees were cut down as requested by homeowner, and other trees were cut or trimmed as well. The whole area was cleaned up beautifully leaving the place looking great. Had another tree service come out three years ago they charged a higher rate, did far less cutting and trimming and the clean up was average quality. J&M came by to give me an estimate and ended up cutting down my huge eucalyptus that morning. They were efficient, courteous and extremely fast. They left the yard cleaner than before they arrived, were careful not to harm existing landscape and kept their sense of humor, though air temperatures were in the triple digit with high humidity. They provided helpful hints for healthy plants and resources for other yard services. I would not hesitate to recommend J&M and would definitely use them again. J and M brought a team of 11 workers to the house and completed the job within four hours. The team worked non-stop under the supervision of MIke Walsh and his son. In the time frame mentioned they removed a dead 30 ft Eucalyptus, two palm trees, and topped off and shaped another Eucalyptus. J and M used two large "chipper" machines to complete the job. As you can imagine, it is nice to get a big job done in an afternoon. Mike Walsh has been cutting trees for over 30 years servicing the Temecula Valley. I had a positive experience with Steve and his crew. They offered me the best price, after contacting 3-4 other places. It took me a while to make the commitment to cut my citrus trees all the way down and Steve made a few follow up calls to see if I was still interested. They worked me into their schedule within 4 days and when I came home from work my entire backyard was cleaned up and the trees were down. I didn't even have to pay for the service until I could inspect their work and was happy with it. Overall, they worked with my schedule, gave me the best price, and left the area clean. this review is a bit over due, but hopefully better late than never... several months ago I called J&M to come trim a tree that after 12yrs had never been trimmed professionally. I was quite shocked at the end results and was very concerned at how bare and empty the tree looked once they were done. But I couldn't be happy now, the tree looks amazing and has grow, filled in exactly as they said it would. We had a HUGE pampas grass that needed to be removed. J&M quoted $400. However, the grass' root ball had to be dug out by hand in a confined space, and the plant was double the size they thought. They laughed, told me we got a great deal, and happily did the work for $400! Its so nice to find contractors with integrity.
