The most recent Aire Serv visit was the semiannual tune up and safety inspection. Technician Stephen arrived on time and with a smile. After he had expertly inspected and calibrated the unit, it was deemed summer ready. We rely on Aire Serv and its friendly and highly trained crews to keep hour HVAC system operating at peak performance. It is a trust that these wonderful individuals and their company have rightly earned. We understand that Aire Serv now has a plumbing and an electrical component. Within a 4 hour appointment window, your technician will show up MAYBE 30 minutes before the window closes, or it might be after. Your technician will then take 4 hours to do whatever it is they're supposed to do. And during my final appointment FOREVER with this company, I think I finally figured out why that is: Here's an AirServ appointment. I was told that a blower component in my attic AC unit would cost would cost $466 to clean. My appointment was 8-12. The tech arrived at 11:12 AM. approx 2 hours later, I went to check on the tech and heard laughter and chatting in my attic. So, THAT'S why it takes them 4 hours: they're scrolling on TikTok and chatting up their friends. After I called up to the tech, shortly afterwards, I watched the tech bring the part down to "clean" it in my driveway with my garden hose. Bright sparkling metal. If there was a mote of dust on that part, I didn't see it. I stood and watched as the tech rinsed it with my garden hose, sprayed some prepared solution from a pump bottle, and scrubbed it with a PAINT BRUSH. Rinse. Total time: 5 minutes. Looked exactly the same after the tech was done. Roughly a half hour later, the tech told me there was yet another hour ahead for reinstallment. At 3:27 PM, my AC unit was broken and the tech had requested another tech to be sent. The tech told me I'd receive a call from AireServ. A half hour later, still no call. I called them. I was told the tech would be there shortly. At 5:34pm their "Neighborly" tracker said he'd arrived. He'd already called and said he was 15 min away. At 5:56pm he arrived. It took him 30 minutes to finalize the maintenance-turned-repair, but I was at the attic opening the entire time. Total time start to finish: 10.5 hours. How much is YOUR time worth? I just paid AirServe $466 to ruin my ENTIRE day.

I found out after our HVAC system was installed that no permit had actually been pulled for the job. I originally wasn't too worried as a friend recommended them to me. Boy was I wrong to assume it would be okay. Firstly, it took them three months to complete the install. The time lapse had nothing to do, with parts availability. There were many days that they scheduled with me that ended up being no call, no shows. After a few days of this I started reaching out mid day to get an idea of scheduling. The days they did come, they were often hours late. The company is run by two brothers in law. One is the licensed HVAC tradesman, who is very nice, but as io mentioned wasn't very good at communicating or keeping to any type of schedule. I was inclined to overlook this, as he is very nice and was always apologetic for his tardiness or no shows. Stuff happens I get it. His brother in law who seems to be the primary owner and seems to run the business side, of things is the primary reason for my bad review. He openly argued with the tradesman and My husband and I about placement of the mini splits we were having installed. He kept insisting that his placement was the best option, despite the license holder and my husband's objections, who happens to be a licensed electrician as well as the customer. He eventually hired a plumber to run the condensate lines for the system. The plumber did extremely messy work, and ended up plumbing the condensate down an interior wall that then exited the wall to two 90 degree bends and down through the floor of our kitchen which was in the process of a remodel. When I questioned it, I was told there was not other way to do it. This was completed at 6pm at night on a Saturday and we just wanted them out of the house. We had our plumber come in a few days later to see if he could change it, as the way it was set up would affect our cabinet layout. No need to get HVAC Front Royal involved, it would be a small fix. Our plumber would be able with ease to get more of the piping in the wall. Upon going under the house to fully look at and complete the job, our plumber discovered that the condensate lines were not run to code. He subcontracted plumber had run our condensate incorrectly into the sewage lines, in our crawl space. Because our plumber was there and there were concerns of the way it was done, we had him fix it on the spot. We then went to HVAC Front Royal and explained what happened, and asked that they cover the cost for the condensate line to be fixed. We did not include the cost of moving the lines in the kitchen floor, as we planned on just easting that cost. Long story short we went back and forth for 6 months of them arguing that without proof from an inspector that it is wrong they would not do anything. They did say that if an inspector came back saying it wasn't to code, they would be sure to reimburse us. I ended up going to our town hall and explain what had happened to the inspector and providing pictures of the work done wrong and pulled a permit. The inspector wrote a report showing the violations. We then presented that to HVAC Front Royal and the subcontracted plumber. They still refused to reimburse us. They actually proceeded to try and tell us that we owed them money because they miscalculated the cost of the job. Meanwhile, they had invoiced us the final invoice, and we had paid it in November 2024 about a week after the job was completed. I have the email showing that it was the final invoice. It is now July of 2025 and I am writing this review since they refuse to stand by their word or hold their subcontractors to good workmanship. I gave them ample opportunity to make it right, before exposing them for who they are. One of the reasons they are refusing to pay is because I got angry and mean on the phone. Well yes I am angry and expressed it after having to deal with this nonsense and lack of integrity for months.

They packed up and left me to roast, while promising to send a specific quote. With temps in my house reaching 85, Maricles came out and was able to find a way to add Freon and restore my AC for would should be weeks if not months, and did so for a price that was quite reasonable. They let me know up front the temporary nature of the fix, were straight forward and helpful in answering all my questions. I will definitely consider Maricles before anyone else for the system replacement and maintenance.
