Absolute shyster , sold me a car that had no working headlights , water pump leaking , brakes metal to metal and then wouldn't send me my title or plates , couldn't drive the car after the paper plates expired and j &r told me to never contact them again , I live 3.5 hours away from j & r so I guess it's gonna take a road trip and baseball bat to get a man out at home plate read more

WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! After looking for a couple of weeks, we found the car we liked. We thought Joe and his wife were trustworthy people. Joe told us this car had another 100,000+ miles left on it. We chose not to test drive on the 1st day we saw it as it indicated only 8 miles to empty.(This should have been our first clue) We did research on the vehicle that night. The price they were asking was fair ($10,000 out the door) The next day we drove the vehicle (they had put a couple of gallons of gas in it.) The car seemed to run smooth, shifted smooth. We purchased the car and signed all the paperwork. My wife drove the car from the dealer. 6 blocks is all it took for the car to shift odd and indicated a warning on the dash. She stopped, shut the car off and restarted it. Everything seemed fine again. We thought maybe it was possibly a computer issue. The next morning we took the car to a Firestone service center. They recommended we take the car back to Joe (as he is a good guy "NOT") We took the car back to J&R. When I pointed out the issue. Their response was "we bought the car as is and we could have taken it to a mechanic if we wanted to." "Sometimes these things happen" (I imagine these things happen quite often with these people) It was quite obvious they knew there was an issue with the transmission before selling it. There was no way they were going to take the car back. We took the car to the Ford dealership to diagnose the issues. Transmission had to be replaced. It was overfilled with fluid and had metal shavings in the oil. 5th and 6th gears were faulty. Cost us nearly $8,000. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE. IT WILL COST YOU!!!! read more

Purchased a car here (over $10k displayed as profile picture) (J&R Auto) for our daughter as she just moved to Seattle to go to school and start her brand new job...Purchased the car 'As Is', as most used vehicles are purchased this way...We even purchased an Extended Warranty...She (our Daughter) has had this Car for Less Than 2 Weeks...That's Right, TWO WEEKS and the Transmission is blown...We realize that machines Break, but 2 WEEKS...TWO WEEKS?!!... Contacted the Dealership last week to inform....Was told to call back 'Next' week because the owner/mgr was away attending a graduation...Well, it's next week and was told the person that I needed to speak with was Out Of Town until, you guessed it, NEXT WEEK...and to make matters worse, the person I spoke with on the phone, hung up while expressing my displeasure at the Post Sale Service.... I Don't recommend purchasing from this dealership...as we have been forced to contact an Attorney! The Owner wrote the following in the Business Description: "The professional staff at J & R Auto Sales works with you from start to finish and even after the sale. " This is a LIE!!! It's Been Less Than 2 Weeks!! The Representative (Ryan) from this Business hung up the phone while speaking to him!! The problem with the vehicle is NOT Covered by the Extended Warranty!! MORE MONEY FOR A CAR WE DIDN'T HAVE TO PURCHASE!!! This has been a horrible Experience for our Daughter with her Very 1st Car! She'll never forget this, Nor will we...Her Parents!! My pregnant friend bought a car from these guys, it ran fine durning the test drive. The day the deal was down the vehicle wouldn't start anymore. Come to find out it was because the battery was WAY to small. Then they wanted the battery back. After that the car overheated. Took it to a shop and it has a blown head gasket and needs a new water pump. These guys play nice, pretent to be honest and trustworthy then they screw you over. They used all of thier savings for this car and this is what they did. This is just a HORRIBLE business. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! read more

Our son purchased his first car with J&R and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Joe was terrific and spent a lot of time talking with our son about the vehicle. He even got it over to a third party mechanic to have a thorough diagnostic done so we'd know what we were buying (necessary for a 20 year old Jeep!) My husband and I also spoke with Joe to get the car transported to California and he was very helpful with this as well. Joe was very responsive and followed through with everything he said he would and now my son has the Jeep he'd been searching for and we're all extrememly happy.
