Yep...as "good as it gets". I am working on a project and Robert aptly named it: "That's a Frankencycle". This shop is busy...and really is a professional place that does not and should not have time for 'silly things'. I named the project "Frank". It's a 1982 Suzuki GS 450 on the back and 1982ish Yamaha TimberWolf on the front. The thing was mug-fugly. I started with J&R by installing a new tire. It's about 6 months later and "i am busy but can help you next week"...is the service i respect. I know nothing about motorcycles...and Robert helped me understand basics...like the fuel valve is why the carbs are leaking! I hope i have his name right...but there are some really handsome machines there. If the owners of those things trust this place...that's a darned good sign! He has been there a long time...another +++. So...take a look for service. (Yep, he's busy and that's a good thing.) I took "Frank" for a test drive down out street and two neighbors are all upset that "you got one first". Guess where I am sending them!! This is just a "good old fashioned" place. read more

Ruined my vacation ride! Found this place on yelp and wished I hadn't. My normal shop was a bit backed up and I would have waited 2 extra days. Had to take it to them after missing my vacation ride. Brought a set of tires in to swap out. Was quoted a bit higher than my regular shop but had no problem with price since it was going to get done same day. When I picked up tires and loaded them I'm my truck I noticed there were no wheel weights. I thought it was odd to have no weights so I went back in and asked. His reply was "I lined up the red dots on the tires and static balanced them on a stand" he furthered it with "I don't have a high speed balanced" I replied "oh ok, you static balanced them" he said yes. Brought rims home and installed them on the bike and took a trip though the neighborhood and all seemed well. Parked bike in garage and waited for vacation the next weekend. Pulled bike out at 4am Friday morning the head to Key West only to find the back tire felt like it was an octagon!!!!! The vibration was hideous at 60mph. I had to return home. After removing tires and waiting for a "real" shop to open, it was found that both wheels needed to be balanced. Rear needed 1.75 oz. and front .25oz. Very unprofessional!!!!!!!!!! Only gave 2nd star due to completing job ahead of schedule although it was not done right. read more

Robert took great care of my Suzuki SV650. It is a 15 year old motorcycle, and so for some reason the local authorized dealer will not service a bike more than 10 years old. I looked up cycle service in the area, and decided to take my bike to J & R. It wouldn't start at all, and was leaking gas. Robert fixed everything, and now she runs great. The labor rate is good, and Robert knows what he is doing. The first time I picked it up, I found out later it was still leaking gas. Robert took another look and said the tank was rusted through and ruined. He advised me where to get the best deal on a replacement, and gave me a real fair shake on the installation. I've decided to sell this bike and get a bigger one my girl and I can ride 2-up on. Robert gave me some great insight from a mechanic's point of view as to which of the bikes I am considering would be the best choice. Thanks, Robert! I know I'll be happy with the FJR1300! read more

sucks. i have a 87 cbr 600 they charged me 750 to fix, but problem still there. and over priced. acworth bike shop is way better
