I went to one other nearby bakery before I found this one. This bakery had several birthday cakes that were already prepared, which is what I needed. We are having a surprise birthday party today for a co-worker and we needed to have the cake ready to go. They only needed to add her name to the cake and that was it. The cake is quite large and it is beautiful like someone spent a lot of time preparing it. The service was good once I got someone's attention.

My friend taught in Tela, a small beach town in Honduras, many years ago. He left with some dubious Spanish skills, and a deep passion for baleadas. When he discovered J and S bakery, he became a regular and is slowly converting all his friends. We've also had the wings, pupusas, tamales, horchata. Their desserts are amazing - flan and tres leches and tons of other options. Don't forget to ask for their salsa picante. (PUBLIC SERVICE NOTE TO THE OWNER: pleeeeeeease start selling the hot sauce in jars. THANKS!!)

I was looking for a bakery. This turns out to be a restaurant with some sweet goods in cases. I got a cannoli looking pastry and a fruit tart looking thing in addition to some lomo saltados. I enjoyed the lomo dish. It wasn't really anything like the sign on the menu but who am I? I love lomo on a menu and I pretty much order it. The meal had rice and a little lettuce salad and the lomo w tomatoes, peppers, onions. The most surprising thing was as I ate the whole bottom was filled with French fries. Happy surprise but I had hoped for plantains as the pic showed. It was good. The cannoli thing os not made of ricotta so my daughter was happy to eat it (is it buttercream? I don't know). The tart was ok too. The creamy part of the fruit tart tasty vaguely chemically but I enjoyed the crust and the fruit on top.

The food is really good here. I would stay away from Tres leches. It's mush. You'll have to excuse the mess they are working on another section. Seems like the place that use to be another store closed and they took over. Good for them. Be patient with the people taking your order, they don't speak English well. Show compassion for them and show kindness. Warning: The male patrons will make women very uncomfortable because in the Latino culture I have been told if they don't look like they are checking out the women, the women will take it as an insult. (I had no idea)

I'm convinced this place hates its customers English speaking customers, today I came in with 3 of my friends and we waited over 45 minutes to get our food. Which was the most simple food you could get. I asked for a refund for this skimped looking elote. The manager refused to give me my money back laughed at me and smirked at me and told me that I have to eat that disrespectful looking thing. Then she argued with me when I asked to speak to the manager saying that she'll be right back and never came back and when I went up to her she she said that the manager doesn't care to speak to me. They think just because you paid ahead they don't owe you customer service.

The quality and value of the food is fantastic. The beef soup had four or five giant pieces of short ribs, some with marrow, more than double what you get at a Korean restaurant for their beef soup! The soup was also extremely flavorful, and also came with rice and tortilla. Fajita mix was also fantastic fresh off the grill, with SO much meat. Two adults could've easily split that for a meal. It was a little intimidating because I don't know any Spanish, but the cashier was nice and knew enough English to take my order. I will definitely be coming back here next time I'm craving something flavorful and filling.

We tried three items: the red velvet cake, the mocha cake, and an apple pastry (not sure of the exact name, but it reminded me of an apple turnover/empanada). Let's start with the red velvet cake, so good. Moist, flavorful, and honestly better than I expected. Red velvet is one of those cakes that's easy to mess up, but they executed it perfectly. What impressed me even more is that we bought it right before closing, didn't eat it immediately, and it still tasted amazing hours later even after being refrigerated. The mocha cake was well-made, soft, spongy, and clearly high quality, but it just wasn't for me. It has a strong coffee flavor, so if you're a coffee person, you'll probably love it. For me, it was about a 6/10. Now the real star: the apple pastry. This was everything. Perfectly flaky, lightly crisp on the outside, and filled with fresh, flavorful apples. It melted in your mouth! could've easily eaten multiples of these!! Service was also a highlight. Even though we came in right before closing, the staff was kind, patient, and efficient. Nothing felt rushed, which I really appreciated. The shop itself is cute and quaint. Perfect for a quick stop or a casual treat. Overall, Paris Baguette delivered. Some items may come down to personal preference, but the quality is there. I'd absolutely go back, especially for that red velvet cake and the apple pastry . Sidenote: they also have candles & birthday decor for purchase!

They have everything from small bites like cookies and pastries to full size cakes & tarts. They also have single serve slices of some of their cakes like the chocolate mousse cake. We went for breakfast sandwiches and tried both of the base bread options. The snowflake bread was soft and pillowy (my favorite) and the brotchen bread was slightly crisper & a little bit saltier, also amazing. Eggs are fluffy and a great portion size. Added cheese to each and smoked bacon. A delightful breakfast treat. On the way out, I got a baguette for a last minute appetizer need. It was so soft and freshly baked (and big!). I'm going back today for more fresh bread. There's also plenty to shop for like mustards, jams, cheese and charcuterie, grab and go items, and beverages. This place has summer chalet vibes & is very upbeat and friendly. Lines can get long during typical busy hours, so it's not super quick if you're in a rush. Great place to come relax.

The worker at first looked confused when I mentioned the weekend special platter, and after I showed her the Instagram post from Jummah Bakery about the special, she at first said that it was a breakfast item only. The Instagram post listed a time from 10am-1pm, and it was noon when I arrived. When I pointed out the time, the worker seemed to make excuses again to say that the item wasn't available that day. This was despite signage in the restaurant mentioning about the weekend special. Also I was weirded out by the fact that there are burgers on the menu, it seemed really unnecessary. *Wraps: We ordered the chicken kabob wrap and beef gyro. I suppose they were edible, but very lacking of the level of depth and flavor typical of Afghan food that you'd find in the typical Afghan kabob restaurants in the area. The chicken wrap even contained ketchup which turned the flavor into basic American!! *Desserts: We also ordered multiple pastries / sweets that were behind the very inviting glass displays. My favorite was the baklava, the remaining ones I tried were just okay. As usual with this type of cuisine, the desserts are quite sweet. *Tea: They have multiple types of chai tea, I ordered one, it seemed to lack in actual tea flavor and had a weird egg flavor that didn't balance well with the tea. I wouldn't order it again. As much as I want to support a neighborhood ethnic-owned business, the questionable customer service and watered-down food makes me hesitant. It's really sad because the bakery looks very beautiful and has so much potential, but I think it's not managed well, the customer experience ends up feeling bizarre and inauthentic.
