I've visited this location multiple times, and it truly offers the perfect combination of South Korean and French-style baking. The cakes are delicious, and the pastries are always fresh and baked to perfection. I highly recommend trying the Green Tea Cloud Cake, Mango Cloud Cake, and Earl Grey Cloud Cake, all excellent choices for a birthday celebration. In addition, a traditional croissant paired with a nice latte was the perfect way to start my morning. Service was great and quick. Tous Les Jours (In French literally translates into "every day") started in Guri, South Korea way back in 1996. The first US location opened in 2004, and as of 2025 there are over 1,650 stores worldwide. With that kind of growth, you have to appreciate the consistent product and quality (beverages and baked goods) from one location to another. Of all of the numerous Tous Les Jours locations in the DMV, the Annandale location might be my favorite. Usually before I head next door to the K-Market (https://www.yelp.com/biz/k-market-international-annandale?osq=k-market) for groceries, I'll pop into TLJ to enjoy a beverage and pastry. I like how the interior is intentionally designed to cater to both the retail customers who just want to "grab and go" products, as well as to those who want to linger and enjoy their items. Walk in, grab a tray, and select from the extensive variety of pastries. My favorites range from their delectable Castella cakes, sweet red bean buns, and their savory ham croissants. Their loaves of milk bread are also amazing for sandwiches or a runny egg for those at home breakfasts. To combat the sweltering heat of 2025, my summertime favorite has been the Iced Straw latte. A Double shot of espresso, milk, and strawberry syrup over ice is both refreshing, not too sweet, with a nice caffeine hit. And honestly, $5.50 (as of this review) for the 20 oz size (I usually request "less ice") is not a bad deal. After picking up your drink and items, there are lots of comfy seating options indoors, or in the Fall and early Winter, a nice patio outdoors. Stopped by Tous les Jours and everything we tried was honestly so good. In the photo is the garlic sausage block, which we asked them to warm up, along with the garlic cream cheese bread (the one cut in half). The garlic cream cheese bread was AMAZING - unbelievably soft and fluffy with a warm, creamy center. At first glance it looks like it would be heavy, but it's actually really light and easy to eat. The garlic flavor was perfect and not overpowering. The garlic sausage block was also delicious, buttery and savory with the sausage baked right inside the bread. For something sweet we got the chocolate cream donut, which was the perfect level of sweetness - not overly sugary at all. For drinks we tried the iced matcha tiramisu and the iced jasmine green tea. The matcha was really good quality. I couldn't taste the tiramisu flavor too much (probably because we mixed it), but the matcha itself was excellent. The iced jasmine green tea was exceptional - super refreshing and hydrating. The cashier was also very patient and helpful with my indecisiveness while ordering, which I really appreciated. The items we asked to have warmed up came out pretty quickly too. The space itself is really nice as well - lots of seating and plenty of natural light, making it a great place to sit and enjoy your food. The music was also really nice and added to the relaxed vibe. Overall everything was fresh, soft, and really well made. I am extremely disappointed by my experience at the Tous Les Jours bakery in Annandale. I have been a regular customer and have always enjoyed coming here, which makes this experience even more shocking and disappointing. After eating there, I became violently ill and threw up in the bakery's restroom. I immediately informed the manager because I was genuinely concerned about what had happened. Instead of showing any empathy or even apologizing, the manager repeatedly insisted that "everything is fresh." Rather than taking my concerns seriously, she called security while I was simply trying to report that I had become sick. I felt embarrassed, humiliated, and completely dismissed. I have reported my suspected foodborne illness to the health department so they can investigate. Regardless of the outcome of that investigation, the way I was treated by management was completely unacceptable. Loyal customers deserve to be treated with respect and compassion, especially when they become sick at your business. I will not be returning until I see meaningful changes. read more

This is the second location I have been to. I first visited the Columbia location. I love the variety of pastries and options. I had a croissant with eggs and bacon, and two other baked items that had sausage in it. I chose their tiramisu match latte because I had it at the Columbia location and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you want your item warm, they offer to heat up select items behind the counter. You can request it when you go up to pay. The space is clean and they have a good amount of seating. If this is a place you want to work out of, they have seating along the back wall with access to outlets. I love the concept of grabbing a tray and selecting your items as you walk around. Initially, we mistook the mango donuts for corn donuts due to their similar shape and shared display labeling--it wasn't until we took a bite that we realized the mix-up. The corn donut was unique and not overly sweet, but it wasn't a flavor I'd seek out again. The texture was also tougher and chewier than expected. The matcha loaf, unfortunately, was the biggest disappointment. Expecting a lightly sweetened loaf, we were surprised to find it very salty and completely lacking in matcha flavor. I'd avoid this one. The yuzu pastry was decent, with a tangy yuzu flavor and a flaky, crisp pastry shell, but the combination didn't quite live up to expectations. The cream cheese garlic bread stood out to us most. Although slightly sweeter than preferred, the bread was perfectly toasted, and the cream cheese was fluffy and creamy. DRINKS Although the deep purple color was beautiful, the ube latte didn't provide enough flavor for me. I mostly just tasted plain milk and ice, so it's not something I was return for. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. AMBIANCE The interior is modern, clean, and inviting. There's plenty of seating, including tables for 2-4 as well as larger tables for bigger groups. Service is very speedy and efficient, which makes it a great stop even during busy times. Drinks, however, can be a bit hit or miss depending on what you order. Overall, it's a fun Korean bakery quick shop with good variety of selections. Finding a place to sit was a bit tricky but not impossible. We sat in some armchairs at a shared table with others. Given the noise and crowds, we didn't exactly linger and took our drinks with us. There was a lot of people ordering coffee although my friend and I just got waters. They have a partial self service readily filled and clean where you can get whatever you want and pay for it. So this place was discovered by my friend through Instagram some months back. We were in Annadale for the Thai Stree Food Festival, which was great. Had some great shrimp pad thai and beef dumplings. As we were leaving, to head over to another shop, she saw the sign for the place and I made a U-turn into the shipping center Tous is located in. Upon arrival, we noticed the place was packed. We later saw why they were packed. The decor of the café is very bright, warm, inviting. The pastries and cakes they had looked delicious. They seem to have a really good drink menu. I ended up getting the chocolate pretzel while my friend got the custard pretzel. Then we got a blueberry and cheese danish to share. She also got a strawberry smoothie. Everything we had was delicious. Next time we go, I want to try their cakes and drinks. I don't want to forget to mention that our service was great.
