I parked on Park but there's also ample parking on Alexander or any of the side streets. Prices seem reasonable considering you are also getting access to help with your plant and things that are REALLY hard to find other places around town. I do not fault the farm for that, but can't give a 100% full and accurate review until we are able to experience those things. As noted above we were unable to see the animals, which was really disappointing! But we understand why. We stopped at the office to check, and they were very friendly. They informed us that due to Covid the walking trail is the only thing that is open to visitors, so that is what we did. The farm itself is cute. The grass was groomed, there is a sign telling you what was where, and swinging benches were all over the place. We visited the greenhouse, but there wasn't much going on in there. You can buy plants and flowers. It looked like there was a sand table that kids could dig around in that is probably busy on better days. We walked the trail, scoped out the pond (watch that loose board!), and went into the woods. This is where it got interesting, because I had no idea it was lined with "fairy houses"! My daughter was elated about this, and we checked out every single one. There were also signs with cool nature factoids, like what prints certain animals make, and how to tell how old a tree may be. There is a really nice pavilion just outside of the farm entrance, and a playground there too. Another fun thing we discovered by the playground was a Little Library! This place has great reviews overall, and I believe them. I think that we'd really love it once we are able to experience all that it has to offer. I still recommend it now if you are looking for a fun and easy trail to walk. Especially if you have kids! And it is right around the corner from other trails and fun playgrounds to explore, too. We will definitely come back and try again when Covid precautions are lifted! :)

Not sure if they have done it before but there were a few things I would change but overall it was beautiful. The thing I would change is to have assigned seats and have staff walk you to your table. Tables were set up in 6. I had a party of 5. Almost immediately there were people scrambling to try to sit together and parties were almost split but the attendees just grabbed their flatware from our table and squeezed in at another. Arrival was at 11. There wasn't much instruction once you gave your name at arrival. Do we get in line for a drink? Do you grab a seat? It really was a lovely afternoon with great food and great hosts. The education in the fields and all around perfect. I definitely recommend a stop here.

I've been coming to Gro-Moore for years, and it's something I look forward to every season. They…read morehave the best strawberries! A few things to know before you go: Gro-Moore is cash only, but there is an ATM on-site. Be sure to bring your own containers, or you can purchase one there. When you arrive, there's a farm stand at the front that sells pre-picked strawberries for $8.50 per quart. From there, you'll drive down a bumpy gravel road to a large parking area. After checking in and either purchasing a container or showing the one you brought, you'll be directed to a specific row for picking. A worker will tell you where to start, which is marked by a flag left by the previous picker who finished that section. Picking strawberries can be labor-intensive since you'll be crouched low to the ground, but it's well worth the effort. Once you're done, you head back to pay. I filled a huge container for just $10. The strawberries were incredibly sweet, juicy, and bright red. I'll definitely be back next year! Their Facebook page is kept very up to date with current picking conditions and information. This year, there was even an ice cream truck on-site, which was a huge hit with the kids.

Great trees again this year. I have been going for 10 years. There is no reason to go anywhere…read moreelse. Don't go to a chain or a home improvement store. Those trees were on trucks for weeks. These trees are cut daily. The staff is really knowledgeable. They will tell you every you ever needed to know about the different tree types and what to do with them. The bail the tree for 2 bucks and have twine to tie it to your car. They will even toe it for you if you want. They even volunteered to follow us home and help carry it in before. Please remember to tip the guys carrying and tieing your tree for you! The trees hold up well into january. Never have issues with needles falling even though we buy the tree mid November. They make you wear a mask because of covid. I understand it's outside but you are really close to groups of people. Please just wear the mask for everyone else's sake.
