Two things of note immediately: 1) is there ANY organization to this store?, because it sure doesn't seem like it, and... 2) it had a real post-Black Friday feel to it with clothing and accessories discarded in piles everywhere. I don't blame the staff for that necessarily, as I watched loads of customers literally abandoned piles of stuff wherever they wanted when they realized, I guess, they didn't actually want to buy them. Also, another reviewer mentioned the lack of staff at the Fitting Rooms; this actually felt very normal (at least it is in other parts of the world from what I've experienced) , so I appreciated just being able to help myself to a room whenever I wanted (...granted, they were also messy with customer's deserted stuff). In the end, on this particular occasion, I left with two items: a very cute, white sweater with golden sparkly thread AND a fantastic little black dress. Pricetag? Under $50. And the person at the cash register was SO friendly and engaging; she gave me an enormous brown paper bag for free when she saw I had been toting around all my Kitchen Store Outlet stuff in my arms. I don't know that I'm rushing back here anytime soon, but if I'm in the area and I've got the time to explore, I'd come back to see what gems might find me! But I wouldn't come back intentionally looking for a specific item.

They have a large selection of items, but I couldn't find a button up shirt for my step-son. You would think button-ups would be a common items to find and not a single one. I found 32 options for sweaters and 40 options for sweatshirts, but not a single button up shirt. The staff is non-existent around the fitting room, so customers are always having to go find someone to unlock a door. The value of some of the items is reasonable, when it's on sale, but the headache of having to sort through unorganized sizes and color is just not worth it in my mind.

This store has two floors, first floor is mostly women's and second floor houses the men's apparel, children's, and items w/ additional discount. As you can see from the photo, it looks like the wrong product. So I marked that on the return. My return was rejected. If they wanted it to be quite clear that the skirt pictured on the website could look absolutely NOTHING like the one they picture, then they should picture more than one skirt for the color range - or be more specific. Are the colors in it or not. On a previous purchase of a magic skirt, their website suggested to me that I pay the surcharge to exchange or return. I knew there were no returns, but nothing was said about exchanges I thought I could exchange. No go on that either. So I told her that I had paid it and I felt I should be able to use it on this purchase. The answer was again, no. She was very critical. Why would I purchase it? I can usually find a lot of basic clothing at this outlet and tend to buy quite a bit each time I go. The service is usually nonexistent until they realize I'm going to spend a lot. I find that super frustrating but i still go! Unlike other outlets, there's usually all sizes and colors available of whatever is there. The petites section is extensive. They also have accessories for sale right when you come in. I don't see shoes often.

This store is probably twice as big, if not even bigger. Lots of vintage, one of a kind bags, which I like the best. They have numbers or designs from the old sails on them. Sea bags has so many new designs, it is great. If you are not familiar with sea bags , they recycle old sails and turn them into bags, sacks, purses, etc. They have rope handles and clasps, so many different styles. You can bring in your old sails to have a bag made from them or get a discount on a different one. They are all made in Portland on the wharf, you can see them being made at the Portland store. Great maine made product.
