The pizza at J Del's not only met but exceeded my expectations! I had decided to stop by when I noticed their Pizza sign on the building. This appears to be a family owned and run restaurant. The staff are all very kind and friendly. You could tell that the owners care about their pizza and use nothing but the best fresh ingredients. On our first night in Tennesse we were up in a secluded mountain in a cabin starving. It was our first family reunion in years and we all traveled from far to get to this location. The family wanted something easy, fast and delicious. We saw that this restaurant in the town over had really great reviews. We ordered 2 large pizzas, garlic knots and wings. All the food was delicious and really hit the spot after a long day of traveling. The pizza's were huge and were the perfect amount for a cabin of 8 people. The restaurant was really generous with their toppings and size. When we first arrived to pick up the food it did take some time for someone to come to the register but they immediately addressed us when we walked in and were very polite. The restaurant was SO busy that night. The wings were juicy and very flavorful. The parents really enjoyed the garlic knots as well. We recently visited J. Del's Pizza in Pigeon Forge and the food was mostly good! The pizza was fantastic and so was the chicken salad. However, the baked ziti is worth passing...it was disgusting...one bite and in the trash it went. We were looking for a great local pizza place fairly late in the evening and J. Del's was perfect. The garlic knots were loaded with fresh garlic and served with a generous portion of marinara. So we were in Pigeon Forge for a couple days, and the first night we were exhausted from driving so we decided to get pizza delivered to our room. Sooo glad we chose this place! We chose a large "Del's all the way" and it was a huge 18" and so flavorful! Definitely more than enough for the two of us. We also chose the garlic knots, and it's easy to see why everyone else says to get them. So buttery and loaded with yummy garlic. The red sauce they served with them was amazing and flavorful as well! We also treated ourselves and ordered a cannoli. Honestly they're not my favorite, so I told my mom we'd get one and just split it. But OMG it was the best cannoli! I instantly regretted not getting my own lol! We ate there last night based on reviews. The pizza(we had the Dels pizza all the way). Prompt service, thin crust which we both like, plenty of toppings. My only negative review is the crust became tough when it started to cool. Will definitely eat here again when in Pigeon Forge. Very inviting atmosphere and nice employees. No TV's on the wall to take away from family time. You can order pizza by the slice or as whole pie. The pizza tasted good and so did the sausage roll. The cannoli was outstanding. They do provide a military discount which is much appreciated. read more

Staying at the Arbors hotel & Suites and ordered delivery. We got a large meat lovers pizza, 2 orders of garlic knots and a meatball sub. The total was $55 not including tip. OMG! Epic food. They quoted an hour delivery which was to be expected on a Friday night in the rain. Food arrived much quicker, was very hot and oh so good. The meatball sub was devoured. Our family went here on our vacation, since our 7 yo wanted Italian pasta for his birthday. What an excellent idea!! Everyone who works here is a delight, good natured and warm hearted. The owner stopped by our table and we had a great conversation! We got pizza, a few lasagnas and linguines, and a chef salad. One of our littles wanted butter Parmesan on the linguine, and they were happy to accommodate. But. The sauce... y'all, the sauce. We told the owner you can taste the love, and that's no joke. This place was so good! Thinner crust with good taste and a delicious sauce! Their large pizza is pretty big! You may want to ask how big the pizza will be before you order because my husband and I probably should've ordered a smaller pizza...but we were able to take the leftovers soft us so order the large and take the rest home because it's so good you'll want to eat it for breakfast the next day! read more

Good pizza, as far as Pigeon Forge is concerned. In the land of "turn 'em and burn 'em" touristy pizza restaurants this place defies the norm and actually has fairly decent pizza. Admittedly a little greasy and any napkins/silverware you WILL need (see grease comment above) you have to go get yourself (or at least we had to). This is not a deal breaker by any means but worth noting. All in all, I would say this is in the top 3 of pizza you can get in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. read more

The service was fantastic from the entire staff. I was worried about trying their Italian Beef sandwich as I've become hooked on the best in the Chicago area and have never had a decent one outside of the state of Illinois. Until tonight. J. Del's makes an Italian Beef with Vienna Beef straight from Chicago. The "gravy" which to most of America is an au jus, was full of flavor, the bread holds up nicely, even when you get it "dipped". And you have to get it dipped, it's the only way to properly enjoy this Chicago staple. It's served with sweet roasted peppers, but you can add their spicy giardinara, which is pickled peppers, carrots and celery which bring this sandwich to life. They really knocked it out of the park with this sandwich. It's so tender, you don't even need teeth to eat it. We also had a pizza which was excellent, garlic knots that were blazing hot and fresh with a fantastic marinara. The side salad was crisp and zeppoles for dessert were fresh, covered in powdered sugar and served with a raspberry sauce. They also serve Panna Acqua, which is a fantastic bottled water, not sure why I love it so much, maybe because it's in glass and not plastic. So disappointed. This was dinner for our last evening in Pigeon Forge. It was on my "must try" list thanks to all the great Yelp reviews. I love pizza. LOVE it. To say that I was looking forward to this meal is the understatement of the year. We decided to get the food to go. Our hotel was located about a 3 minute drive from J Del's. We phoned in our order and was told it would be ready in 35-40 minutes. That seemed long to us, but Pigeon Forge is a place for tourists so we figured they were busy. We picked up our food 35 minutes after placing our order, drove directly back to our hotel, and opened it up. And it was cold. Not refrigerator cold, but I-was-finished-baking-twenty-minutes-ago-and-then-set-on-the-counter cold. It didn't seem to have even been under any type of heat lamp. So it's understandable that the fries were bad. Fries in general don't travel well, and they're best eaten right out of the fryer. I get that, and we ordered them to go, so I'm not knockin' the fries. There isn't much a restaurant can do to make fries taste fresh in a take out order. But the pizza was barely edible. I like pizza hot. I like it lukewarm. And I like it refrigerator cold (for breakfast). But this was none of those things. I ate one piece (unheard of for me!) and left the rest behind. I was bummed. Maybe next time we're in Pigeon Forge we'll give them another shot, because this time definitely didn't live up to the hype. read more

A friend recommended this pizza as a must try. It's located off the main drag in Pigeon Forge. We were Greeted by one of the owners and she explained the different types of pizza, New York or Chicago Style. We opted for the NY style with pepperoni and onion and an order of garlic knots. Very good pizza with a flavorful crust. The garlic knots were served with a nicely seasoned tomato sauce. They had salads, pasta, wings, and calzones as well as gelato. It was pizza. The person who took our order couldn't tell me the difference between the two crust types. She just said one was traditional and one was square.
