First, thanks to Helene, I had to reschedule my appointment to Halloween. I wore my Halloween shirt, but was not prepared for most of the HFD staff dressing up, too! It was fabulous! Second, my dental hygienist ~ Marlee ~ is a total rockstar!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about her! I've never had such a great experience! She was thorough & professional, while still maintaining a personable manner! Great sense of humor! Third, Dr. Ashton was also pretty terrific, in spite of the fact that he's missing a rib. He is very knowledgeable, as well as personable. Sadly, he was not wearing a costume, so I did judge him a bit. ;-) He gave me options as far as future treatments were concerned, and I appreciated that he was suggesting, not ordering. The overall experience was a TOTAL A+, a 14.72 out of 10, and totally off the charts wonderful! If you've had bad experiences in the past, it's time to change to Hendersonville Family Dental. Unfortunately, they do a kind of X Ray that my insurance does not cover, but did pay 25% of. I called them about it and although the receptionist was nice and got more clarity from calling my insurance company, she discovered I am on a new plan they didn't know about. So, my opinion is that staff should always learn the new policies and coverages so a new patient like me, doesn't get stuck with a bill that is almost $100. Because no matter what, I am still responsible for paying it. Not cool.

And told me I needed three teeth crowned. The price....over $10,000!!! This is not a typo over $10,000! I had only one tooth that was hurting me, it was the very back tooth, so I asked them to pull it so that I could be relieved from my pain. Little did I know that this was just the start of my pain. Went in for my appointment and the assistant start numbing the wrong side of my mouth! I should of gotten up and ran then, but they already had half my money. My dentist is now retired, which why a gave this place a try. My old dentist would give me the numbing shot and it never hurt. This was quite painful here, but the assistant assured me this was the worst. Lie!! I was in so much pain and it was a horrible horrible experience. I was being pushed down so hard that the assistant held my lower jaw so the dentist would not break it. Yes the numbing shot did its job, but it can't stop the pain from all that pressure. The tooth broke I heard it hit the wall! I was crying and had my feet on the chair wanted to get up and run! Then after it was all over I was informed that he broke the part of the filling out of the tooth next to it, but unfortunately those things happens, so I will have to come back and get that tooth crown. No way on this earth will I ever step foot in this office again!!! He also left that broken tooth with a sharp piece that was jabbing my tongue, which I didn't realize it was this way because my tongue was numb for hours. I had to find another dentist the very next day to repair the broken tooth that he caused. Please Please look elsewhere for your dentist and not this horrible place!!
