J Finney Services, particularly Jack, initially proposed a professional standard of service. Over time, however, their capacity appeared to be stretched, resulting in a decline in the consistency and reliability of the service compared to agreed expectations. Scheduling became inconsistent, with missed or delayed visits and limited communication. On-site visits were rushed, which led to inappropriate equipment use that caused scalped lawn damage, incomplete trimming, and partial cleanup. During the week of a holiday weekend, the company canceled service without prior notification, indicating that they were shifting to more lucrative tree work and would not continue to provide the service they had committed to. This was only learned when a follow-up was made with Jack after a second rescheduled appointment did not occur. This left us without service immediately before a holiday garden party. While Jack provided a contact for alternative service, there was uncertainty about whether this substitute would offer improved service. (Update: The referred individual subsequently arrived and began cutting the lawn without earlier communication regarding price or scheduling. He conducted himself professionally and responded to concerns, and it seems that multiple former J Finney clients were transferred to him without prior notice.) I hope that J Finney Services returns to their previous standard of service. I have returned to my previous provider, who has resumed care of my lawn. Based on my experience, I do not recommend J Finney Services. read more

Jack installed our exterior Christmas light display on our house and roof. He and his crew did a great job sorting out the lighting requirements and installation for this first time install. They did a thorough job in a professional manner. Accomplished the installation in the time frame allotted with the quality of service being excellent.
