We love the music store, Palos Verdes Music House. Awesome lessons and instruments. Probably the last sheet music shop left standing!

The promenade mall has plenty of parking. As for shopping there aren't many stores left. Much of the mall is closed and pretty quiet. Escalators are even out of service. The only thing keeping it alive is likely the medical offices, ice skating rink and restaurants. They do have some great eats tho but for your shopping needs this won't be the place for that.

This review is for the parking structure only. UCLA imaging recommends this parking structure. It is free! The UCLA Medical offices and Imaging center is located in the north end of the parking structure on Level 3. It was hard to find at first because there is just a small sign at the entrance of the UCLA offices. If you have an appointment with UCLA Imaging or one of the medical offices, enter through Norris Center Drive and drive up to Level 3 and park as close to Norris Center Drive. There are small signs that show where UCLA offices are located. You can park anywhere for the Promenade for the few shops such as Talbot, Chicos and a few eateries.

For it being the only mall on the hill, there isn't really much retail shopping left. Ever since they converted this mall from indoor to outdoor, all the stores went away. Now, I come here to dine, visit the optometrist, and get the occasional labs done. Even though the Regal cinema is still here, I haven't gone out to the movies in years. The ice skating rink is also still here, but not open, due to covid restrictions. You don't have to worry about parking. There's plenty of it because, like I said, there isn't much to do here.

Came for the LA Kings Ice which is extremely nice and great for the kids. The rest of the promenade is pretty empty. A few restaurants here and there but they have signs saying "Change is Coming" I'll update my review once that change happens. Great area, quiet and safe. Just missing stores to shop in .

What are the operating hours of the splash pad?

    Where are the elevators?

There are elevators in a couple of spots. One is close to the walkway for the parking garage. Check the mall maps for exact locations.

Grocery store, bakery, a gym, Target, Ulta, Old Navy, TJ Max, Bath & Body Works, Rite Aid to name a few and several places to eat. Parking can get pretty busy if you try to get close by at rush times but there is plenty of it and it's free. Between the mall directly across the street versus this center, Peninsula Shopping Center has done a good job of attracting businesses and it's much better than the mall. That said, the mall is improving and they can complement each other. I rarely have to go off the hill which I appreciate.

[Review #817] 2024-016…read more Opened in the 1960s, Rolling Hills Plaza is an eclectic outdoor shopping center with restaurants & shops, anchored by AMC Theatres & 24-Hour Fitness. I first visited this plaza to watch movies with friends in the late 1990s. And on some nights with new movie openings, the lines were so long they wrapped around the building. Yikes! There's been a lot of turnover the last couple of decades that I can't remember some of the earlier tenants. A fav Japanese restaurant with a large diverse dessert menu had closed, replaced by Hakata Yamaya (renamed as Yamaya). Most recently, SHIOK! Asian Street Food (family fav for delish sandwiches & boba drinks) was closed due to downturn from the COVID-19 pandemic, replaced with Hanky's Hot Chicken, followed by Tap Society Brews & Bites (its sister Caps & Corks is still open) all within 4 years. Not sure why this particular spot always had high turnover. Bed Bath & Beyond is another former resident that I often shopped at for home goods, especially when I first moved to the South Bay. Although I no longer visit this AMC as much, I still shop & dine fairly regularly at the plaza: Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Nijiya Market, Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea, Mendocino Farms, Lunasia Dim Sum House, Stonefire Grill, Nice China Cafe, Pinwheel Cafe Bakery, Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee, California Pizza Kitchen, Veggie Grill, Iccho Restaurant, Kabab Curry of India, Fanoos Grill. I'm sure there are others that I missed (supposedly there's 80+ eateries & retail tenants). While parking is plentiful, vacancies are challenging during lunch & dinner rushes, & weekends. Rolling Hills Plaza is one of the larger outdoor spaces for one-stop dining, shopping, & entertainment for the whole family... workout, grab a coffee, shop, dine, & watch a movie in one go.

But it has been awhile prior to our first restaurant run. Truly a great beachside destination. Plenty of eateries (and many of them dog friendly!) and shops for everyone's budget. The beach is literally a block or two away and parking isn't horrendously expensive unlike some other beaches or shorelines. (A buck and a half per hour is a steal!) It's a pretty chill and kickback area. Some grub spots have live bands/music you can vibe to. But the best part of the village is definitely walking by the shores! The views.
