Grabbed a caramel latte with soy, glad to see a good dairy free selection, had quick wifi and some comfortable tables but no backs to the chairs, I was curious about the higher prices for average fair. Looks like there's no other options but 7 Brew right out in the parking lot is sure to become the obvious options for mall espresso, I didn't mind the latte but flavors and balance offered little. Ordered 2 glasses online via their Amazon storefront. Glasses were received poorly packed - 1 broken & 1 chipped. Support/Customer Service still has not responded to me concerning my return for exchange request. Decided not to wait and just ended up initiating a return/exchange via the Amazon process. UPDATE: changed this review from one star to three stars after receiving a response to a negative social media post I initiated concerning this purchase. The current follow-up seems promising, and the person who responded via social media from the company was very kind. And I did eventually receive an email response after a second email message was sent today. UPDATE 2.0: Added one more star. With the recent renovation of Tippecanoe Mall stores, this place has moved from a store-type coffee shop to a corner store of the mall. It has also been revamped from a homely feeling to a polished steel out in space coffee shop. The coffee itself is not bad, but the store always smelled better than the coffee actually tasted. They do have punch cards, so if for some reason you find yourself going to the Tippecanoe mall 10 times in your lifetime you can get a free coffee. read more

OK - I see that some people had a bad experience. HOWEVER, I did not. I ordered a Vita-Mix 750 plus the dry blender at 50% off. I received a brand new, in the box Vita-Mix 750 plus a brand new dry blender. So far - after a 10 uses and a month - everything works just as it is supposed to. I suppose the issue will be what will be the response if I need customer service. Hopefully that will not happen - but I will report back as necessary. At this point, I would not fear ordering from J L Hufford based on the negative reviews. BTW - I contacted them before hand because of these and other negative reviews and was assured that every Vita-Mix that goes out is brand new, in the box. read more

Ascaso Espresso Machine sold by this company despite of my Italian choice brands. I was convinced by the sales person who is to be knowing about these machines better than most. . Ascaso Espresso machine was malfunctioning within 6 months of the purchase... When I called the company I was pushed away to New Jersey import place despite of I spend nearly $900 into the company.. They were so quick to pass the problem to someone else. Than talking the people with New Jersey, I was told I had to ship this machine weights like a dead body and insure it full amount all expenses on me in order for them to possibly fix it and send it back to me. By the way They might have to order the parts from Spain maybe a month later..... Ill get my machine back.. No empathy , no apology no descent costumer service.. It took me 4 phone calls to be able to get a costumer service manager. I would not be given any name despite of my insisting .. I dont know any company hides their manager's first name. Finally I got the least professional, unfriendly, inexperienced general manager named Dana. S. Sounded like it was her first job. She told me" I was too upset with her low paying employees and she was not happy about that..." Well if their company is low paying their employees and us costumers spend that much of money will get frustrated easily because it took me good part of the entire morning and so many phone calls to get nowhere! I am still is the one has to pay nearly 100 dollar for shipping! This very unprofessional general manager also told me they will not give me my money back her advise was" I should sell the machine which has a shortage and electrocutes while you are making coffee if you plugged to regular outlet. If you plug to the GFI outlet it trips immediately! Brilliant idea! Good thing I have a better mind to know not to take that advise. So all is said for you whom are thinking buying anything from this company... BE AWARE!!! YOU WILL NOT BE TREATED NICELY ONCE YOU PURCHASED YOUR ITEM! I stopped in this morning for something to pick me up. I work in the mall, and I visit here often. The lady who helped me out (manager, I believe) was super friendly. I LOVE coffee, especially non fat Carmel lattes (light on the syrup). I moved to town recently and am normally hesitant to try some coffee shops because the espresso normally sucks and they overload drinks with syrup (like McCafe! Ew) BUT this place was great! The barista the first day wasn't very friendly but the coffee was great so I came back the next day (yesterday) and the coffee was awesome again and so was the service! The barista (a different one from my first visit) and I had a quick discussion about coffee and she suggested a couple other drinks I might like. Went there on 12/27 1:49pm. I can't believe people are giving this place good reviews. Several different types of coffee for sale, which is good for variety, but there were NO PRICES LISTED BY THEM. So are you guys trying to hide your prices?? Should I assume they're all equally priced? Why should I have to wait till I get to the register to find out the price? I waited for a barista to answer questions I had about product variety but was ignored. I also bought tea packets of 50, which was only $12.99, and is expensive but I got it so can't complain. I get up to the register. Well at the old location you could choose from 1/4, 1/2, and 1 lb bags of coffee to grind. They told me they ONLY DO 1 lb BAGS NOW. I guess that profit is pretty important to squeeze out of the customers. Well I'm not paying for a coffee I may hate so I only got the breakfast blend and told them to put back the almond flavor. They ring me up for $26.98 excluding taxes. (Good thing I got the typically cheapest coffee for a 1lb, breakfast blend, or else I'd imagine it would have been much more, but of course when they DON'T SHOW THE PRICES OF THEIR COFFEE who knows. After taxes it's $28.87...for just a 1lb of coffee and tea??!! Worse THEY DIDN'T ITEMIZE THEIR RECEIPT. Maybe I'd like to know the price breakdown to see how I got ripped off. DON'T COME HERE. Go to Starbucks...and I hate Starbucks since I think they're coffee is overrated, but at least they advertise their prices. Save your money. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Nobody will answer phone line and you are forced to "online customer service" Yeah Right! Online customer lying is a better term. Had an item canceled for late delivery, had it show up two weeks later, and take 4 attempts to gt them to pick it up and return it. (another 10 days) Yet they still charged my CC. After 5 attempts to get anyone at the company to answer phone or "online chat" I had to decline the charge with my CC company. Finally spoke to someone yesterday...their response..."We have been busy and the weather is bad" Well the weather will change soon enough and with this type of service they shouldn't be busy much longer!!!! read more

Stay away from this company! I purchased Jura Expresso Machine for almost $4.000, but the unit was defective. First they refused to send me shipping label so that I ca return the unit. Then, once they received the unit back, they dishonorably claimed that I had damaged the unit and refused to refund my $4000. Now they have the espresso machine and my money. In Dec 2013 I ordered a SIMPLEX Heritage Chromed Copper Whistling Tea Kettle No.2 for $150. - . Upon receipt I checked to make sure they sent what I ordered & paid for but because it was for a seasonal island home I left it packed as after all, these were reputable dealers so I had no concerns whatsoever that this tea kettle was not going to boil water successfully and whistle while doing so! In May while I was opening the home I unpacked the tea kettle to make tea. It neither whistled nor managed to get to a real boil?! Packed it back up, brought to the mainland and contacted J.L. Hufford for a return. They told me that it did not work on an induction cook top despite my repeatedly telling them that I had two radiant cook tops much like the the traditional coil tops and not induction! They further told me that because it was past the 30 day return policy they were no longer obliged to honor it regardless of any rationale I may have nor were they going to honor the 1 year manufacturer warranty. Instead they advised me to contact SIMPEX directly. Initially SIMPLEX was sympathetic and attempted to make good by sending me a new top but that did nothing either?And after several months time and emails back n' forth the owner of SIMPLEX told me I must have not a defective tea kettle but a COUNTERFEIT / FAKE one?! All the more reason why one of these supposedly legitimate concerns should have stepped up to the plate and given me a full refund VS both of them dropping me like a hot cake and going onto the next poor, unsuspecting consumer who has no real recourse because it's just FALSE promises of making good! read more

the experience buying from this place is beyond unsatisfactory. we made a mistake in purchasing the machine but it was too late to cancel as it has been shipped. we called their support and they said the shipment has been rerouted to go back to their shop. BUT the shipment still came and we had to pay for the shipping even though the box was unopened. when they got the package, it took them a good few days to acknowledge receipt and i had to sent couples of email to ask for refund. When we got the refund, they took 10% of the price (although they did not do anything) and on top i had to pay for $60 shipping. This shop is a trap and YOU SHOULD NOT BUY FROM THERE. they even said they normally charge for 20% restocking fee which is absurd. this shop does not live up to the American way of customer service . it is the worst service i have experienced so far. not helpful at all. they just want to keep the money with them. a trap!!!! read more
