A restaurant supply store that is open to the public. Tons of pretty much every tool or utensil a restaurant might need, but not at ridiculous Williams Sonoma or Sur la Table prices. I purchased a chef's knife for half of what it was listed at Williams Sonoma, and the staff was super helpful. They even suggested I try a less expensive knife, which seems like a good/honest thing a salesman can do. The prices are affordable, the place has a parking lot and is easy to find. Just go around and look at the various whisks and whips and paddles and ladles and pots and pans and knifes and spoons and stones and mortars and, well, you get the idea. I mean, I don't know for sure, but if a restaurant buys the stuff, it will probably hold up just fine in your kitchen. And they carry brands I knew. So don't spend more for the same. read more

Visited this place to replace a cutting board and peruse for items necessary due to hosting 20+ people in outr downtown digs for Thanksgiving. A family run business that provides kitchen and dining essentials to restaurants and professional chefs but also happens to be open and accessible to the public. A treasure trove of extremely useful items as well as equipment you never knew you needed, but once disciovering, realizing you cannot live without. I give them a 1 because I could not give them a zero. The we're supposed to drop ship bowls and tumblers to my restaurant. I paid for the items up front but I did not get the items. I cannot recommend this vendor to anyone. They cheated me out of over $400 worth of product. In the end I bought a lot more equipment from other vendors on line and saved thousands. Although Zesco caters to restauranteurs, you will find plenty of items for your home kitchen - spatulas, whisks, cookie sheets, trays, and more. The prices are extremely competitive, cheaper than Target or Bed, Bath, and Beyond. There are also dishes and glassware that you can buy in bulk and larger professional kitchen equipment. The only thing that knocks it down a star for me is that the customer service could use some work. It wasn't clear to me where to checkout so I stood in that area of the store awkwardly while an employee chatted with a restauranteur about their mutual friends. I felt like I was crashing someone's party as no one addressed me or looked my way. Eventually the employee acknowledged me and I checked out, but I had to wait longer than I should have. read more

I just had to comment on this place after finding out you were on Yelp! About a month ago I'm on the cultural trail and I stumble by ZESCO.com btw its the place with a big steaming pot on its sign! I mean cmon how cool is that? I've seen it before but for some reason I decided to go in. So anyway I go in and they have a ton of restaurant equipment which is interesting but won't fit in my home kitchen and the wife might kill me if I tried to bring any of it home...but trust me it all looks cooler than what I have currently...I'm walking through the aisle feeling like Bobby Flay grabbing a few essentials when all of a sudden Alton Brown stops me...well his name might have been Thomas? but anyway he helped me make a few selections and then get all of my gear to the counter! Stay away! Sad to see that they are a family own business, Very poor customer service after my call about the wrong Item that was send to me. I had contact by email or by phone with 3 different people Pam a customer service rep, Amy not sure what she does, and a extremely rude person by the name Chad, a sales rep and apparently the person that enters Items on their website. The wrong description of an item was on the website and I was told " you made a mistake you keep them that is it we are done" this is after I asked to speak to someone above them. Chad said "I am the highest you can go. I am Pam's boss just because you don't like what I am saying you want to speak to someone else we are done here". Can you believe this? Horrible - lying salesman and one of the worst equipment supply websites! Gave them several opportunities as to being a family business. On every purchase the salesman have tried to trick us or hide information. The last draw was when we just went in to buy a Hatco heating strip. After transaction was complete the salesman tried to tell us make sure to go buy the wire because it's not being provided together with the equipment. This should've been mentioned before the sale. Once we requested a refund then we were informed about restocking fee also, once again after transaction. At this point we said please give us all info on item and it's specifics on being attached and we'll keep it even though we don't want to sue to service. We were told all is included and it can be hooked on sides or top - "it's made to go under shelves." Once item arrived there was no brackets included to attach. There's an image online of the brackets with the item upon purchase, but it's an extra $24 with shipping. You can't even buy it alone after purchasing the heat strip, it must be bought together. So now we'll have invested a month on one equipment purchase without it being used and having to go through multiple suppliers. No respect for business and helping their customers. 0 stars! Will not be back ever again! read more

Rudest company I have ever dealt with. They accused me of fraud! I ordered a coffee dispenser to fit one of my aircraft. Ordered on their website and paid for overnight shipping. They sent me an email saying that it was out of stock for a week and that I needed to order a different one. I waited a week and called them to reorder. Again I asked for overnight shipping so the pot would be here in time for a trip. They told me sure no problem it's on the way. Next day, no coffee pot. I called to ask for tracking number and they told me it that they weren't going to fulfill my order because they thought it was fraudulent! I had to call them to find this out. When I tried to explain the situation on the phone I spoke with someone named Thomas and he was so rude he wouldn't even let me speak. They treated me like I was a criminal because they couldn't believe someone would pay for overnight shipping on a 30 dollar coffee pot. Well guess what, I spent an hour online looking for a coffee pot that was the right dimensions to fit in the galley of my aircraft. I requested overnight shipping because I had a trip the day after and wanted my passengers to have coffee for their trip. Because they couldn't fathom this they assumed I was a criminal and treated me like such on the phone. Never in my life have I had a company talk to me like that. I love this place! I get all my pots and pans from Zesco. They are way cheaper than buying the sets (or even individual pots and pans) from Target, BB&B, or even Walmart. Plus, they last longer. They have a wide array of kitchen smallwares that are too numerous to list. It's always fun walking through the equipment showroom and checking out the huge ranges, too. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I can't wait until I find another reason to go back! read more
