My girlfriend and I went to Floods to get a new key made for her 2012 Altima. Can't believe what some reviews have stated that the employees are grumpy and rude. We found them to be very polite and helpful. The young lady who took care of us and programmed our new key, couldn't have been nicer! I've been there twice and both times I had a bad experience. The first time I went to get a key fob fixed and the new fob didn't work at all. The second time I was there, the owner was rude to the customer in front of me and then he was rude to me before I even told him I was there return the key fob that didn't work. read more

There are a number of negative posts on here, based solely on the "attitude" of the owners and employees who work the counter here. I'll say this. When I research a doctor's office, and the doctor's "bedside manner" is rated 5-star wonderful, but his surgery results are rated a 1-star, horribly bad, I won't patronize that doctor. I want good results, not a perky, talkative doctor. Same goes for J.R. Flood's Locksmith. Yes, the folks who work here have no time for nonsense, or idle chatter. They are short, sweet, and to the point. I, for one, appreciate that. Because their pricing is the best around, the store can go from no wait, to 12 people in a line at any given time. If you're the 12th person in line, there on your lunch break, you'll ALSO appreciate their no-nonsense approach. They're not there to be your friend. They're there to rekey your lock, make you duplicate keys, or reprogram your car's remote. Notice that every negative review that refers to poor attitude has no choice but to admit that the service they provide is second to none. I'll take SUPERIOR SERVICE over "bedside manner" every day, vs. a counter person who wants to hold a 10 minute conversation with the customers, at the expense of those of us behind them in line, staring at our watches, and cursing the chit-chatters under our breath because we're wasting an entire hour waiting for service, as a result of the friendly counter person, talking about Mildred's Grandchildren. Best price by far. They were literally 1/5th the price of the dealership and about 1/2 the price of other locksmiths that I checked. Service was great. They have directions written clearly on signs all over the place. Just read the signs and follow the directions and you'll be fine with no "complaints" about service or being rude. These guys are very busy and there is a reason. They do good work and want to move as many people through as quickly as possible. It's a well oiled machine in there, and the only problem is people that mess up the flow. They get irritated at people that don't follow directions. We were in and out quickly and got three new fobs for $150. They programmed and checked them. The cost at the dealership was more than double. Remember to bring your old fob and car. What a jerk. I waited online forever until someone could help me. He asked how he could help me and I said that I'd like my car key cut and programmed. His actual response was "what makes you think I can do that?" I'm not leaving anything out, that was exactly what happened. I responded that he's done it for other cars I've owned, but it turns out that he doesn't do Mercedes, which was all he had to say. These guys are not the type to be jovial or talkative. They are all business, so be warned. However, they are pros and know what they are doing! They made keys for all five of my fourwheelers, three house keys, two for my mustang, including two key fobs, which work great, all in about 15 minutes! Fast, efficient service. Recently had a master ignition key fob break and I never had a back up made. So, I did research on chip keys for my make and model and anti theft mechanisms. I found ignition keys with transponder/fobs have to be programmed and have proper chip in order to work with my anti theft mechanism. Dealerships charge outrageous rates to replace these keys. Luckily, after some digging i got proper matched keys and was able to program them for my car myself. So now, I just need the key to be cut to match the master. I take it here and in what seemed like one minute They were able to get 2 keys cut here as a courtesy!? Wow! Anyway, Put the key in, started it up..drove away smiling. I went to have my key fob checked out and finally realized what people meant by poor customer service. Shame on me though for not following their instructions carefully. They are already on the edge if they have to repeat something twice. Specially the younger girl. I would assume she doesn't want to be bothered with but will help you anyways if you know what you want from them. I would definitely recommend these guys they did a great job. It did not take long you just have to park in one of the three spots next to the building so they can program your key fob or fobs. You can definitely get keys cut or programmed here at a great price, but you sacrifice customer service. Everyone that works here is miserable and unfriendly. I saw some bad reviews about a guy that was rude or a jerk. I went there twice today to get keys programed for two different cars, and I spent some time, but not much in line. I know who they are talking about, and he is neither. He is just direct with a very dry sense of humor. The prices were the lowest price around, and about the same as the do it yourself kits on line, that if done wrong you have to go to a dealership and pay about $200. You will spend a small fraction of that here. Give them a shot, you won't regret it. read more

I was referred to them by Marlton Lock and Safe. My car key broke out of the key fob. I called JR Flood for information and price. They suggested a refurbished one for way less than a new fob. The dealership was over $270.00, another locksmith was $145.00 new. I went right down and they fixed it in about 20 minutes! I highly recommend this amazing place in the mart. J & R came out to the house, changed my weather-beaten front door handle and lock assembly with an exact - new - duplicate in nickel plated brass and keyed it to match my other doors.
