Tasting flight as of July 2019.
    Timothy R.

A few moments after I walked in, I felt like I'd just walked into Cheers, reincarnated as an urban winery. I was surrounded by locals who seemed to all know each other. Either than or this is one super-friendly place. Since I didn't know what to get, I opted for a wine flight. The wine selection was limited, but still good none-the-less. My favorites were the 2018 Pinot Blanc and the 2015 Pinot Noir Select (just the regular, not the Encore). The man pouring was Dan, a little bit Cliff Claven, with a lot of Norm, and a dash of edgy Boston street cop just off his shift thrown in for good measure. The place itself was quaint and comfortable, the wine good, but the atmosphere and the people made it much more interesting, bumping up their points on my review scale.

While Dan gives all the happy vibes to this adorable tasting room in downtown Sherwood, the wine just isn't my favorite. The Zinfandel was really quite good and we bought a bottle to share there and a bottle to take home. But the rest of the wines were just okay. The tasting room is absolutely adorable and very comfortable. It's definitely a cute spot that I'd suggest a drop by on but the wines aren't my taste so I couldn't recommend them.

We stopped by after hiking silver falls and Rachel's service was superb!!! Allowing a few of the first time wine tasters to do a side by side of different wine and just knowledgeable of the different wines!! Highly recommend stopping by!!

Dan is super friendly and knowledgable! Awesome bold red wines plus great Pinot! Good value some bottles as low as 16.10!

Got a chance to break out of the house now that businesses are opening up and went for some afternoon wine tasting at rallison cellars. It was an incredibly fun afternoon! The business in Sherwood have the block blocked off for outdoor street seating and the environment is super fun and most importantly very safe and clean! The beat part is the businesses are working together to provide food along with the wine. The teams at Rallison Cellars, 503uncorcked and Masons have really put together a special treat for us all! I highly recommend stopping by to check them out. You might call in advance to see how busy they are though, I anticipate they will be very busy considering how fun this was!

This is the first time that included a gorgeous sunny day and a view of Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson and St. Helens. We were also quite surprised to have Finnley take care of us. About a year ago, he took care of us at Stoller as they are partners. Finnley is quite knowledgeable but equally engaging. Thank You again Finnley. We tasted a fun Brut, Chardonnay, Gamay, Rose and of course a tremendous Pinot Noir. The food is also incredible as we enjoyed the Arancini, Focaccia Bread, and Tuna and Crab Salads. We love the food, and the service remains top notch.

Overall not sure what that was about bc the entire time we stayed there till closing there were open tables

The wines were fantastic and I would highly suggest coming here versus other wineries/vineyards.

We visited during a Wine Share month, a great way to discover new wineries without any risk. The Garden Cottage tasting room on the lower level of the property was not open in February so we enjoyed our tasting in the home. literally. We sat in the living room on couches around a coffee table while the adjacent dining room was being utilized by a party of 8. it was a great vibe, warm and inviting. Our host explained they use regenerative farming and winemaking processes. Their wines are aged in clay amphora casks, something we had never heard of, which imparts unique, earthy characteristics. Since the clay allows for a slow oxidation, the wine has softer flavors without the oak derived butter, vanilla and spice flavors. It's a middle ground between the oxidation of oak bottles and the more sterile stainless steal. We enjoyed the education and the wines! Would love to come back in the spring or summer for the full Garden Cottage experience. Since this is a small, family owned winery, tastings are by appointment only. Their website has the link.
