Stunning venue, delicious wine and great service. What a gorgeous vineyard, where you can sit outside, with bottles of wine with your own picnic basket watching the gorgeous sunset! I could not take my eyes off the stunning view. Sunset was just stunning. They have a great selection of wines. We opted for bottle services, Pinot Rośe being one of the selections and it paired very well with the stunning view. We bought few bottles to bring home. You can see some wild life while watching the sunset and they are harmless. Staff here are awesome and extremely friendly. So glad we found this vineyard and it was worth the 45min drive from Portland. read more

Visited this winery around 11:30 AM on a Thursday. It was empty when we walked in and by the time we left at 2:30 it was packed. Phil in the tasting room is fabulous. This was some of the best wine I had in the region. Getting there can be a little top as the road is not paved. It is worth the trek. We sat inside by the wood fireplace that had a warm fire going. They let you bring your own food and beverage in to enjoy with their wine if you'd like. They also have heaters and blankets outside. If you spend $120 on wine per person, the tasting is complementary. They have free range, chickens, and oysters roaming the property. My favorite was the estate blend. read more

This is one of the best locations I can imagine for a winery - it almost feels like you are in Italy with the rolling hills and beautiful green land in the distance. In burgundy. On a sunny day you can sit outside and admire the views while enjoying their delicious wine. On a cold day they have a fireplace inside which would be super cozy inside their ultra-modern, yet very Oregon tasting room (building). Don't miss this place, it will be the highlight of your wine tasting outing. For bigger groups I would recommend to reserve a picnic table ahead of time and order by the bottles. read more

Amazing view and nice wine! It's located on the top of the hill and I felt like being back to the winery in Italy. We had the flight which included one chardonay and four Pinot noir. I really liked one of the reserved Pinot noir. This winery is probably not one of the most famous amongst all in Oregon, but if you are looking for a place to chill, enjoy and have some great wine, you might love this place. The views are absolutely spectacular! Really one of a kind. Unlike most other views in the area. The tasting room is beautiful and open to the outdoor patio which has many different areas to sit and taste. They also allow you to bring your own food and eat at picnic tables right outside the tasting room. We especially enjoyed the chardonnay and of course the pint noirs. The grapes are grown just feet away from the tasting room and you can walk right up to them to get an up close and personal view! read more

This place is an absolute gem, with exquisite wine and a wonderful staff! We went here while on a wine tasting day for my friends bachelorette party. Of the four stops we made that day, we all agreed that Eminent Domaine was the best. We were greeted at the door and treated like family for the rest of our tasting. We were on a time crunch, and looking back we had wished we were able to spend more time there. Thankfully I am a local and will absolutely be back! The grounds are beautiful, with the tasting room sitting next to a vineyard and overlooking other vineyards and forest covered hills. The view is worth the visit alone! They have a wonderful outdoor area to sit and enjoy the view, as well as some indoor seating. The wines were absolutely amazing. The quality of their Hyland Pinot was top tier, truly something to write home about. My second favorite was the Chardonnay which was perfectly refreshing for the summer day. 10/10, highly recommend this winery! If you're doing a tour, make it one of your stops and plan to be there for a while. If you're just looking for a winery to spend an afternoon at, then this is the place for you. read more

Great outdoor areas to picnic and enjoy the sweeping views - mere yards from the vines. The tasting room itself is modern and airy, but it gets too loud with the sounds of drunken patrons bouncing off the walls once folks start filtering in later in the day. Take my advice: bring some food and enjoy the wines outside on a picnic table. Much more pleasant. They also have some nice cushioned patio chairs - but no food allowed in that area. Currently they are pouring a rose and 4 pinot for $20/pp. Buy a bottle of pinot ($40-$50 range) and they waive one tasting fee. We were extremely happy with the folks working the tasting room. All pleasant, friendly, and very service-oriented. A recommended stop if you want to sip, graze, and linger. If you are instead just into cramming as many tastings as you can into one day - you are entirely missing the point. read more

Very great wines. I am a big fan of the ribbon ridge AVA, I really like the soil that is there, I think it produces very unique wines. And, the winemaker is very talented in letting the flavors come to fruition. My husband and I loved the property, there are numberous different places to chill, and enjoy some good wine. We didn't intend to do this, but I think we sat in a seperate spot, between every wine on the flight!! So, we got a good taste for the wine, and the property. They, also had great historic photos of Portland, around the tasting room/bar area and as well as the upstairs/secondary, more intimate tasting room. The photos were very interesting to look at as well. My husband liked the 2013-Protocol Pinot Noir that was the first one to sample on the tasting flight. My ultimate favorite, and I called it upon the first sip of the sample, was the 2013 Ribbon Ridge Estate Grown Pinot Noir. I think that second one had a little more of the unique volcanic soil that I like, and my husband tends to like more earthy, smoky flavors, so we have different tastes, but we bought a bottle of each of them, so we can revisit them on our own turf, and see what our thoughts are on the wine, on a different day. I will definitely be back to this winery as much as I can! read more

Amazing experience and views. Staff are kind and friendly, accommodating to our small party of three by moving furniture to facilitate us sitting where we wanted to sit. Friendly to our 8 year old. Wine was outstanding. Views are amazing. Atmosphere is laid back but classy. Lots of options for seating with shaded options and can bring outside food if seated on the lawn. This is an exceptional winery to visit. Not only is the view breath-taking, but their wine is also phenomenal. I don't know about you, but usually wineries with awesome views have only mediocre wine. Well, Eminent Domaine is definitely the exception! There is also a lovely area with picnic tables. My group and I brought along sandwiches and salads and had a lovely picnic before delving into wine tasting. Also, their staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and the history of the winery. To top it off: they even come out to the patio to pour for you (should you decide to sit out there), which is a nice touch of added customer service. The 2015 Estate Pinot Noir was definitely my favorite -- I think it was described as "party in a bottle!" Which was super accurate haha. This is a great under the radar winery to come and check out the next time you're in wine country. read more
