Dishonest. They are out to make a quick buck selling unsafe vehicles. They sold me a truck that had safety concerns with the brakes and transmission. My husband called them with the concerns and was met with "sold as is"....later we paid to fix one of the safety issues, I called and spoke with a woman who said she would leave a message for Kevin to get back to me, he never got back to me and he blocked my phone number from calling them! I emailed and got no response, then they blocked my email address after I sent a single email regarding my concerns. They had thier own mechanic then finally fix my brakes (I got ahold of them with a different phone number) ...the mechanic was rude on the phone and said he was mad he had to fix someone else's issue (meaning the dealerships problem) ....he didn't even give me a service record and told me that goes to Kevin since he paid. I have a report from another mechanic that the brakes were metal to metal, it was also severely shaking while braking, and the mechanic the dealership uses (My Mechanic in chesterfield) sent a photo to me and made sure to tell me he sent one to Kevin, of a brake pad that was off a vehicle, claiming it was mine and had life left, I asked for a photo of the rotor condition and was told that he did. Ot take a photo of the rotors.....I also asked the dealership for a copy of the pre inspection report, they took 2 days to get this to me and when they did it was a report by the same mechanic, and was made up and false, it was also not dated....not to mention the vehicle was misrepresented as having heated seats which it does not. They now have thier attorney reaching out to me, if that doesnt say "Im guilty and trying to do damage control/control the narrative early." Then I dont know what does. Not to mention besides the safety issues and misrepresentation, the staff is so rude if they already made the sale and dont want to be bothered. I was laughed at and disrespected by office manager Ashlyn for just asking to speak with Kevin and eventually saying I would have to come up there to speak with him if she wouldn't allow me to, she had told me Kevin said the owner would deal with it, I asked to speak to Kevin several times and she kept repeating "he will just tell you what i told you" I have a feeling Kevin told her not to transfer me. So instead she laughed at me, was rude, refused to transfer me until ibrepeated myself calmly about 10 times, then said "fine whatever" and sent me to his phone. ​ read more

I was all set to purchase a car for $17,900- cash sale. When asked what the total cost was, I was told "$21,400 out the door," which is $3,500 over sales price (huh?). Tax on $17,900 is $1,076, plus another $300 for document fee, which is roughly $19,254. Then they wanted to tack on a "$995 dealer fee." Funny how the dealer fee wasn't mentioned until I was ready to purchase the car. Anyway, the numbers still don't add up because all that equals $20,249, not the "$21,400 out the door" price that I was quoted. Sorry, J Rus. I am sounding an alarm for anyone that may be in the market for a used car. Buy from J-Rus in Macomb and you are playing Russian roulette with respect to having a reliable vehicle. Your life could be turned upside down, like my daughters has, for trusting J-Rus. The words "inspected" and "reliable" must mean something different at J-Rus than they do to honest people. Imagine spending 25K on a low mileage newer vehicle because you need reliable transportation, not having any idea that within a short time, you find out you need to replace the transmission, the brakes and the engine. You are told by a reputable dealership that the trans pan was rusted through on arrival, and all the fluid had leaked out, and a simple visual inspection should have been enough to detect this prior to selling. You call the dealer that sold you the vehicle and politely explain the issue to be given the old "we will get back to you" word for days, so you call but can't get through. This is when you find out that "we will get back to you" really means "we will block your number and have no intention of making things right". So you email, politely, and your email address is also blocked. You call from an alternate number to find out the customer service policy changes to "Be rude and laugh at a customer with serious concerns once we get their money". Requests for inspection reports will be ignored, but rest assured, if you persist you will be provided with a document that appears to have been created on the fly, not dated, and customized notes that appear as an attempt to "CYA". They address the brakes "to make you happy" and deny any issue with them, despite a reputable dealer report. Then as an advanced move, an attorney sends you a message to intimidate you and let you know that he would enjoy tearing you up should you bring this to court. The time off work due to no transportation, financial strain and emotional distress are of no concern to J-Rus, despite the founder, Jonathan Russo, declaring himself a minister, a man of God. The hypocrisy! Knowingly selling unsafe vehicles and abusive behavior for being called out on it is EVIL! You can literally make or break someone by screwing them out of transportation! You might incite someone to publicly expose you, to warn others, to seek justice! We have receipts for what I have shared here, and then some. read more

STAY AWAY. CROOKS AND LIARS, SELL OVERPRICED BROKEN CARS. I'll change my review as soon as I get my 250$ spare key I was promised FRANK. to start I was sold a Challenger that was supposed to come with a replacement front fender kit and a spare key. I wrote down in our contract that they would supply these items to me. after filling out the contract of the replacement items, they walked into the back room where they changed the documentation to state that they would not provide me with these items after lying and saying they would. they did send me a replacement for the front fender lip kit, but it was the wrong color. Needless to say they still sent it but when I asked for my spare key, they told me they didn't still hadn't got it from the previous owner , and that they don't pay to replace keys even though they said they would provide me with one . I waited almost a month before posting this in hopes of getting my spare key, when I ask for them to replace it, they said they wouldn't do that and when I told FRANK, I had it in my contract that they would provide me with one they said to recheck it. that's when I had noticed They had lied and had altered the contract that I had signed. They lied and illegally changed my documentation and hid it in my pamphlet making me believe that it was the same document I had just side signed before. Very shady not to mention I found out when I got home from the dealer that I had an out tail light and I had an out floodlight which only way to replace is to remove the entire front bumper of the car . We bought a Chevy Sonic back in November 2024 it is now February 2025. We have still not received a title. I called and spoke to them yesterday. They are missing an original document for the State to approve the title transfer. We were never informed of any title issue. When we spoke to the SOS we were told the plate that we thought was good is not registered to any vehicle and to not drive the car. This is causing lots of issues for our son who now can not take his driving test on time. read more

I was initially very excited about my purchase but I told Ben Gill that I would hold off on leaving a review until after the inspection was done. Ben told me that the previous owner had put an aftermarket exhaust on the 2023 ZL1 Camaro but that they had the stock exhaust put back on the car. I was having the inspection yesterday and they called me to tell me that the exhaust is a patchwork of bad welds and different sized pieces with multiple exhaust leaks and of course there is no warranty coverage because the exhaust was clearly just mutilated. I contacted Ben about it because he was saying if there were any issues with the inspection to let him know and they would try to get it taken care of. I let him know and his response was that he wasn't aware of anything like that being done and he hopes that I can get it worked out, Ben's the one that told me that the previous customer had the aftermarket exhaust and that THEY, the dealership, had the stock exhaust put back on the car so of course they knew it wasn't right. If you didn't want me to know anything about the exhaust all Ben had to do is just not tell me anything at all and then he could attempt to play the dumb salesman card about the exhaust but we had a lengthy conversation about it and he specifically told me that the dealership had replaced the aftermarket exhaust with the stock exhaust so attempting to lie about it now and act like nobody at the dealership knew about it is absolutely a mute point. I don't appreciate being blatantly lied to and I absolutely don't appreciate being lied to even more after I already know you've lied to me. We both already know exactly what this situation is so just cut the bs already. This place is 100% buyer beware. The stock exhaust was completely cut up and "welded" together so badly it looks like a child did it and it's leaking in several spots. Once again Ben told me that you guys had the stock exhaust put on the car so you had to have known. Come to find out you guys put aftermarket low efficiency cats on the car too and the rear valves don't work at all so I'm going to have to replace the ENTIRE exhaust system from the headers all the way down. It cost 9k just to get the stock Y-pipe assembly with the stock catalytic converters and oxygen sensors so in order for me to be able to get the car to actually be stock, like J-Rus Inc. expressly stated it was verbally and on paper, I would have to spend about 12k and since the exhaust was so clearly tampered with GM is denying any kind of warranty coverage at all. read more

I purchased a 2018 Ford Mustang back in February of this year and since then I have experienced a great number of financial inconveniences at the hands of JRuss and the salesman TJ. The vehicle was sold to me knowingly without a working key as well as a slew of other problems that were never brought up during the lengthy purchasing process. The salesman TJ had me sign an as is Document, knowing there were issues with the car he had neglected to mention. The first day I brought the car home I spent 6 hours dealing with 3 different locksmiths, after the third one was finally able to create a key for me, I ended up coming out of over $300.00. I contacted JRuss and was reimbursed by the manager, Joe. That was just the first day, the first 24 hours. The next issue was the condition of the cats. TJ told me that there were no cats at all, however that was not the truth. The cats were completely botched, destroyed and still connected to the vehicle, which causes direct damage to the engine. This was another thing I had to come out of pocket for all within the first week of purchasing the vehicle. I was told by the shop that fixed the cats that it was illegal to sell a vehicle with cats in that condition, and that the shop that had sold the vehicle to me had put me in a dangerous situation and that I shouldn't have even been able to drive the car off the lot in that condition. I also had to have the intake manifold replaced due to misfires that began occurring regularly, again putting me in danger driving this car on the road. I was reimbursed for the intake manifold as well, but unfortunately that did not stop the misfiring. I then decided to get the vehicle tuned, as I could send in data logs and the company would be able to diagnose the root of the problems. After I submitted the data logs I was told by the company that the O2 sensors were completely disconnected on both sides and that I was putting myself in immediate danger by continuing to drive it in the current condition.. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted that the vehicle was sold to me in these conditions and that a sale was worth more than my safety and the integrity of this company. JRuss and TJ were extremely negligent, and have put me in a financial bind, that I will make sure they pay for. If you are even going to consider working with these guys just please be fully aware of the way that they seem to be okay with operating their business. I am now in contact with my legal team, the better business bureau, and the attorney general's office. No one should be able to conduct a business in this manner and not have to deal with the consequences. read more

Low lighting in the building. Car was not ready for test drive even with appointment. All cars were badly detailed by same crew, every car in inventory had deep swirl marks from buffing wheel. High prices for poor vehicle conditions. Salesmen were unwilling to budge on prices. Go somewhere else, this was the worst used car dealer I've ever been to. read more
