Someone hit me in my apartment complex. Mind you, this DID not happen until was hit. Took car to golling and I won't say specifics-they know who they are. I told this specific person, along with every other problem, I stated in that report that the car was overheating and leaking something. They checked it and they said, nope no leaks..? They knew this, but did not fix it. I went there three separate times because my service engine light came on. This all happened in seven days. Instead, I took it to Oreillys to get a second option on the scan. There it was- Lost Communication With Engine Coolant Pump Control Module and my emission status now says yellow, whereas before this accident, it was green. Of course they said it was my fault. No emission light came while they were running the codes. I find that extremely hard to believe. Take it or leave it as far the service center goes, I am just stating my own experience. read more

This review is for the SERVICE department. Particularly for Hudson. I had two vehicles going to multiple dealers, most of them just ignoring or abusing my patience and generosity. Al Serra GMC in Rochester is worthless(if not malicious). So is the GMC in Davison. Golling GMC is the only one that I've found to have the craft members of integrity and that listen and actually diagnose what you're saying. You can really trust they will do their due diligence. Hudson and team were the ones that made everything finally get fixed and completed. So if any leadership reads this, please know that you have an employee that deserves a promotion and a raise. Hudson provides a service that is unknown to the State of Michigan. Without Hudson I would've sold both of my GMC vehicles and bought Toyotas. I leased my 2021 Buick Encore Gx from Golling Buick in Lake Orion, and it was a great experience when leasing my GX. Even thou I have moved out of the area I continued to bring my GX to Golling for service such as oil changes and tire rotations. Well that changed today. I pulled in about 5:40 to the oil change area, there were no signs saying if you are here past a certain time we can't take you, so to my astonishment the young man who should of been waiting on me said to me. Oh I'm sorry that man was here first and we can't take you we only have three guys working. I said to him that guy is bringing back your rental car. The young man said let me see. I started to back out of the bay and the young man said never mind we can take you. He never really addressed me, and the other three standing there holding up the counter began working on my car. The one young kid pulled my GX up on the hoist, and it was not even ten minutes if, and the young kid was driving my GX down with what I felt was little care. I watch him. The first young man told me they couldn't do a tire rotation on my GX. I'm sorry, yes you could have. It appeared they were waiting to close and get out of there. Unfortunately, I was treated as if I was putting these young kids out. Bothering them, and when I was called to pay a few minutes later. I knew they had not checked any of my fluids and there was no way with such a short amount of time that I should have been charged the $56.87, and it said I requested a certain type of oil change. NO, I did not. I was so mad at the treatment, and I paid and walked out, and immediately called the head of service. I left a voicemail, and this just should not have happened. Customers are what make or break a business, and as many times as I have used this service department. I would never go back nor ever buy or lease a car with this type of service. I would warn you from doing so too. My favorite part was when I went to get in my car and leave, and five cars went flying past me as I was trying to leave, and you guessed it. Just left Golling Buick GMC and had the best service experience ever. I arrived 15 minutes late for my appointment and there was no mention of this, even when I preemptively apologized. Brian, my service manager, got me quickly checked in and settled into the waiting area to wait for my appointment. I had just gotten myself settled to start to work when they called me back out to let me know I was all set! In under 45 minutes, they provided my oil change, rotation and recall update, and in an added bonus - washed the exterior of my car! Since it was my first oil change for this vehicle the entire appt was covered to boot! Can't say enough about both the great sales and service from Golling. read more

I took my 2008 Buick Lucerne in for service. After starting my car the vehicle would not shift out of park, doing research online I assumed it was a the shift interlock mechanism. They had my car for 4 days, I received a call stating it was 2 modules that were "fried".(parts cost $550 labor $800) total including rental =$1,500. I had the car home for 2 days, same problem. I was upset and wanted to know what I was charged for and wanted the alleged parts that were "fried". They had my car another 2 days and said somebody else worked on my car prior and broke a mount for a power box located in the dash. There was no charge, but I still didn't get an answer on the $1,500 I was billed for work not needed. That night I went to work, when I attempted to start my vehicle, the battery was dead. For the third, time I returned my vehicle, this time was told I had a bad connection wire and bad cell in my battery, and IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM WORKING ON MY CAR. I was told it would be another $500 to fix. It took them 2 days to replace a battery. I arrived and asked to speak to the service manager, he never gave me his name(white bald guy), I asked him how disconnecting and reconnecting my battery several times to work on my vehicle, didn't damage the connection, he became argumentative, I asked for the old connection, I was told I could have the old part because it was GM part???? I asked isn't that against the law, Bald guy changed his tone and stated,"fine I won't charge you for this, I'll eat this bill, but don't ever come back here with that car!" And he walked away. Makes you wonder why he was so quick to get rid of me. I was going to trade in that vehicle for a new one, Golling will not be getting one more cent from me. Wow! What a great experience! I recently leased a vehicle from here and I've never been so educated on the process. This is my 6th leased vehicle and I learned so much from my salesman, Dave Crowder. I took my 2007 Buick Lucerne (it's been a phenomenal car) to Golling for an oil change and tire rotation, included was supposed to be a 21? Point inspection. Picked it up and noticed that it was now leaking oil, it wasn't leaking and had never leaked before. It took me a couple of weeks to be able to take it back but was told they would check it out again free of charge. Upon returning to pick it up I was told that it needed new transmission cooler lines, was leaking from the oil pan and the rear main seal and would cost approx 3200.00 dollars. That's just about BB price so I brought it home. I called my mechanic who usually does my mechanical work and told him of my dilemma. He said he could replace the trans cooler lines but the rest was work he did not do. He said bring it in and he'll see what he can do. So I did. Later that same day he called and said I could come and pick it up but that "Here's the thing, I didn't replace the trans cooler lines, they weren't leaking. Nor was the oil pan or rear main seal". He said all it was were loose bolts in the timing cover that had allowed oil to drip onto the oil pan and then found it's way down the middle of the car to the rear main. He said my car was good to go for who knows how long. Now did those bolts come loose by themselves or were they loosened? I don't know. But I do know the car WAS NOT leaking when I took it in and was when I brought it back home. And I know now that the "inspection (s)" that took place were not worth the paper they were written on. I went from believeing my car was a total loss almost to spending a mere 92.00 to find out that there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG!!!!!! 02/18/2020 In a car lease (Buick Enclave) for less than 18 months. The car has been back to the service department 3 times for the same defect - fuel gage does not read properly. The 2nd time I asked if there were any bulletins on the fuel pump/ gage/ tanks - they said no. When I challenged them they said yes as if they wanted to hide the issue. On the 3rd time they said yet another recall bulletin was on the same parts. In addition, a recall on a part for squeaky brakes which I have told them about over the same 18 months and they consistently state "we can't hear anything". I don't think this dealership cares about customer satisfaction. I question their integrity all together. Buy from any other dealership but them! Each time they say they are in contact with GM. This time I told her I don't want the car because it's not safe nor do I have time to continually work in service calls. The service person said "they don't contact GM with complaints" that I needed to or she would ask her manager if he would consider doing so. On a prior service call she said they did talk to GM. What is the truth? Worse car, worse service, worse dealership I have ever dealt with in my 31 year career in this industry. This is why we can't keep customers purchasing American Autos - repairs, service, constant untruthful service people and dealerships pushing junk. 02/21/2020 Today they gave me back my junk vehicle with yet another replacement of the fuel pump. I asked what they changed the last time, they said the secondary fuel pump but GM authorized us changing the primary pump this time. Then the service rep began to tell me how they, out of their kindness, changed the brakes on my junk vehicle even though my car was not included in the recall bulletin based on mileage. I had to explain to the rep that my VIN was not in the recall because they failed to document the claim of squeaky brakes over the last 18 months of my complaints. If they had, my claim along with all the others that complained (to warrant a recall), would have been included. She tells me no that's not how it works. I've been in the industry for 31 years - to be clear, brakes and fuel pumps impact driver safety (MVSS). If the OEM has claims from the dealerships on components that are under the MVSS umbrella, the CARB gets involved after a threshold of claims have been met. Because this junk dealership did not put in claims, my VIN did not make that threshold of inclusion on the bulletin. They did not make the claim because she has been adamant (even today after they changed brakes pad to "do me a favor") that they have never heard any squeaky brakes. The most appalling statement from her: "we don't make the cars". You are right you don't make them. Your job is to convey, champion and drive the complaints your dealership receives with the OEM. They have done none of that at this junk dealership. It was amazing to me that her service supv. was sitting in front of her, heard all of this, and never demonstrated any leadership to turn around 'support his rep' and 'address my concerns'. Quite the opposite, while I was talking to her the lady that gives loaners out was approaching with someone saying "we have another two recalls...". He starts wave his hands in a "back away" fashion like don't come over here right now about more junk vehicle complaints. How very weak of a leader and service rep.! Avoid this junk dealership at all cost! I want out of this unsafe vehicle lease. If something happens to me, my family or pedestrians while driving this unsafe junk vehicle, this dealership will deal with a lawsuit for making me stay in this lease. My family is clear on that. I left a message with the GM, Mr Cooper, let's see if he has any more leadership than the weak service rep leader waving his hands to stay away... what a miserable business - junk dealership with junk cars. read more

I was looking for somewhere different to bring my Buick because I was very unhappy with the service we received from the selling dealership (rude, kept it for a week without doing anything, refused to do much but tell us we could trade in our brand new vehicle at a huge loss). I told the GM rep helping me find somewhere else to bring it that I had heard good things about Golling's service department. He called to try to set up an appointment and was told that Golling would not take me as a new customer because taking people switching from their selling dealership after being unhappy with the service work were likely to switch again and affect their year-end customers gained/customers lost ratio. I've gotta say, I've been very impressed with Golling. Our salesman Harvey Blitz did an absolutely wonderful job throughout the buying process. He was patient with us, as we waited about 9 months from our initial visit to the purchase of our Regal, but checked in appropriately to keep in touch and answer any questions. He was knowledgeable and showed a good knowledge of the vehicle, and the history of Buick. I was impressed with how quickly I had the keys to my new car after I said "I'm ready to buy". As a process-focused guy, the 1 day turn around was very impressive. I get my own financing through the credit union since there rates are slot better. I show up, test drive a car, and the salesperson was helpful. Time comes now to close the deal and it was painful. Their financing department tells me I need to do this and that, mind you the financing wasn't even through them. Credit union gets involved and says you don't have to do any of the stuff they are saying. Now I'm getting irritated so I tell their financing department I'll go elsewhere. I head down to the Ford dealership, get a car, and out within a hour. It was amazing seeing how Golling Buick GMC was saying I had to do all these additional items and Ford saying you don't have to do any of that. If it wasn't for the salesperson, it would of been a 1 star. If you have your own financing, go elsewhere and save yourself the headache. read more

The worst service I have rec'd from a Buick/GMC dealership ever. I was told when I checked in that it was about a 90 minute wait to get my oil changed. (No problem- I had a book and a magazine.) It ended up being 2 hours which still wouldn't have been so bad. The problem was that they took 2 cars that came in 20 minutes and 30 minutes (respectively) after me and both left before I did. I was in a bind, I really needed my truck repaired in short notice. I'm very particular with where I take my vehicles and will admit I can be a pain to deal with. I have a regular dealer I've gone to but they were unable to squeeze me in and we needed our 2012 GMC Sierra to haul our boat up north. I called 4 other dealers to see if I could get the repair work completed, everyone said their techs couldn't get me in for over a week. I spoke with Basil Rafidi at Golling and he promised they would be able to get me in the next business day and get me on my way. This was my first time working with Golling and I will admit I was a little skeptical and worried that it would not be completed in time. I was super impressed when my truck was completed the very same day! My salesperson Sarah Flesch did a great job handling my difficult situation. GM and the management team at Golling GMC unfortunately did not do a great job handling this situation. I could not even get a Golling manager to return my phone calls. I even made demands (voice mail, direct call, and email) to speak to a manager. Still no phone call. When the ordered vehicle did not show up on time, or even 3 weeks late. I had to come in and demand a refund check. A manger would still not meet with me. The truck eventually showed up with extensive damage and was unable to be purchased. Sarah was left out on a limb without any assistance. Stopped for an oil change, rotation and to check a leaking tire. Tires were bought new last spring at Golling GMC after my wife blew a tire on I-75. There was a small screw in the right rear tire. They said it was an inch from the sidewall and would not plug the tire for liability purposes, which is wrong, they have more liability letting me drive it out with the screw in. Cancelled the rotation, paid for the oil change, went to Discount Tire where they did the repair and rotation for "FREE", obviously wanting repeat business. By the way they measured an inch and a half from the sidewall for the screw. So bad service, tried to get me to buy a tire I did not need and I guess we will have to find a new GM DEALERSHIP! read more

I drive a 2008 pontiac g6 base model with 135,000 miles on it. I can expect that from time to time, since it tends to be an unreliable car, I will have to deal with a recall or a expensive fixes as time goes on. In February I had an issue with power steering. I took it in, it was still covered by my extended warranty, had it fixed within a day and happily picked up my car at no charge. It was a fine experience. A week later, the same problem was occurring and I had to take it in. They fixed their mistake at no charge. Great. In September of 2015 I take my car in because my check engine light is on and it seems to be running a little tired. I had already ran the codes so when he called with the estimate of work at $1600 and several issues, i wasn't surprised. While I'm sure I could have gotten the work done elsewhere at a cheaper cost, I felt that the previous work they had done was good and let them take care of it. They had my car for three days. I got it back on a Friday. By saturday of the next week, my check engine light was on again. I ran the codes and they were the same codes I had previously just paid $1600 to get fixed. I took it in at noon and by the next day at noon, I had no update. So I called to check on it. Left a message. Three hours later, no call back. Called again. No answer. Left another message. By this time I felt it was getting a little ridiculous, so I called the service manager. No answer. Left a message. Finally my service adviser calls back and tells me I have to pay $122 for a new sensor and $22 for a new gas cap. I ask him how long it would take because this is extremely inconvenient. He says it would only take an hour but he doesn't have one part so he couldn't do it until tomorrow morning. I ask if they can supply me with an alternative means of transportation. No. I ask if they can pick me up from my job so I can come get it. He tells me I'm outside of the radius. Everything I ask for he refuses. So the moral to this very long story is that Golling will not budge, on anything. And while I'm sure that is great for their bottom line, its not so good for their long term relationships. I will not be going to them ever again, not for service and definitely not to buy a car from. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Damaged multiple parts of engine while performing work on warranty part. Also left screw driver in engine compartment. Total cost 2400$. Had to take back 3 additional times, the 3rd having the service manager ride along to confirm my findings, to acutally fix broken parts in which they damaged. Spoke with muntiple people, including general manager, without satisifactory resolution. They are careless and do not take responsibility for their work. read more
