Recently, due to the closure of the Upper Marlboro location, I began shopping at the Brandywine location and for the first time ever after spending thousands of dollars over the years, I returned an item that cost less than $25. To my surprise, I was the subject of a profanity laced diatribe from a female owner of the store who excoriated me for making the wrong purchase which required her to a do what she called " a time consuming credit card refund". I began shopping at R&D Cross when the southern part of Upper Marlboro had one fast food restaurant and you saw store employees at church or the grocery store. That period has passed. What remains is my insistence that I treat others with respect and be treated the same way. Regrettably, I shall never make another R&D Cross purchase.

They kept it for over 2 months told me that it was fixed and charged me for some repairs that I never requested. When I question them about the bill they said they would look into it and they doubled my bill. When I finally got my generator back it's still doing the same thing and still does not charge Lousy service, lousy repairs, lousy company.. spoke to owner Lenny, he was rude, tried to make me feel like a dummy. And has the nerve to tell me my new generator is beyond its useful life and I should buy a new one. A 17 month old Honda generator is beyond its useful life he must be joking. Very unhelpful customer service. After that frustrating experience, we contacted VA Tractor in Orange, VA, and Austin Gardner was so helpful! I was able to purchase a zero turn from them, and Austin delivered it to us that same day. He delivered it filled with gas, and gave me a tutorial about how to use the machine. It was a really personable experience and the exact opposite to our poor experience with Lowe's!
