We recently bought an apartment in Miramar and had it renovated but needed the entire apartment painted from the floorboards to the ceiling (had the popcorn removed but not by Continental). They came in very quickly to give us a quote which came out about $500 less than other competitors which was fantastic. They used Sherman Williams super high quality paint Pro Mar 200 Pure White and painted the entire apartment in two days. They laid down all the necessary flooring protection to protect the floor from the paint which it did. After getting five quote estimates, we decided to go with the A-Best team based on three factors: 1) A strong referral from our neighbor who had used them in the past 2) The level of detail that Jack (their estimator) provided to us in laying out the Scope of Work for the project and 3) The reviews I had read online from other customers. The project involved not only painting the exterior of our home but also cleaning our roof. Our home includes a gabled roof, wood, brick, and stucco. So, the job was a bit more complicated given the different kinds of surfaces that needed to be painted. And the house had not been painted since 2010. The entire team that came to work on our home over several days included: Eddie, Carlos, Keith, Larry and Weber. They were each very friendly, very professional, and very meticulous and neat in their work. As the project progressed, the team did a great job in communicating to us their progress each day, as well as identifying areas of concern that needed special attention. The project took extra time due to the heavy amount of rain we had last week. But to their credit, they wanted to ensure that they could complete the job under dry weather conditions, resulting in a much better finished project. In the end, we were extremely happy with the results. Our home has a completely new, modern, clean look with very attractive curb appeal. All of our neighbors have weighed in with very positive feedback! I cannot offer enough thanks and appreciation to the entire A-Best team. I hired them to paint several rooms and install a wallpaper accent wall. The wallpaper installation was done poorly--the pattern didn't come close to lining up, making the result look unprofessional. They acknowledged the issue and agreed to repurchase the wallpaper and redo the work, but then failed to follow through properly. They didn't purchase enough materials and left the job unfinished. Communication was just as frustrating. Partway through the project, Diego stopped responding entirely. I spent months calling and texting to try to resolve the situation and align on next steps. Eventually, someone claiming to be his assistant contacted me via WhatsApp to say he would not be calling me back. Overall, the lack of workmanship, accountability, and communication made this an extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend using this contractor.

The price quoted included the roof, sidewalk and walkway up to our house. They even cleaned our front door! We set up a day for them to come out which happened to coincide with a neighbor down the street who was also getting pressure cleaning done by them. All we had to do to prepare was to clear off our patio and porch. They took care of covering any plants near the roof line. We were concerned about a gardenia tree that we tried to cover ourselves but didn't have enough covering so we asked that they make sure that tree was protected. They did a great job with the landscaping... there were no casualties. The roof, sidewalk, walkway and our front door were very clean! Our front door looked like it had a fresh coat of paint! The nice thing is that you don't have to prepay them. We waited until we got home from work to make sure that we were happy with the work that was done. They accept Cash, Check, Zelle, Cash App & Venmo. They also accept Credit Cards but they charge a transaction fee. We will definitely be using them again!

Very disappointing experience: poor communication, unfinished work, repeated no-shows, and…read moreincorrect invoicing I hired R9 Solutions for exterior painting, including trim work and removal of old exterior cables, and later approved a separate quote for driveway pressure washing and painting. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. The exterior painting was not completed as expected. On our Tudor-style home, the trim boards were only painted on the front faces rather than fully painted. Other punch-list items were also left unresolved, including areas around the pond/garden/jasmine trellises that were not painted, plus wood trim areas that still needed proper filling or repair. Cable removal was also part of the agreed scope. There was one underground cable that we had specifically discussed and agreed should remain. After multiple return visits to deal with the cable removal, that cable was cut/removed anyway. When I raised the issue, the project manager became argumentative rather than taking ownership or helping resolve it. The communication throughout the project was poor. The project manager and crews came and went from the property without checking in, updates were sporadic, and I often had to chase for basic information. There seemed to be far more urgency around invoices than confirming the work had actually been completed properly. The driveway project was worse. We approved the quote, explained that timing mattered because the home needed to be listed/photographed, and were given several start dates. Multiple times, no one showed up. On one occasion someone briefly appeared, asked a few questions, and left. No work was done. I then received an invoice stating that work had "successfully commenced" and requesting the 50% payment to continue, even though no driveway work had started at all. After more unanswered messages and calls, I gave up. To be fair, Ellen was polite and helpful with an overpayment/refund issue, but the overall project management, communication, follow-through, and completion process were unacceptable. I would not use R9 Solutions again, and I would strongly caution others to document everything carefully before hiring them.
