Been taking both my kids here for 2 years and service has been great. The front desk is always friendly and informative. The doctor is amazing. He explains things very well. My son had to get a filling and I was supposed to pay for laughing gas which insurance was making me pay $200. De didn't see the need to use gas. I loved the honesty and integrity. I would've paid for it anyways. Care for our kids has been outstanding. Their yearly dental cleanings have been great and painless. My daughter and I absolutely love this place! My daughter is 7 and needed some emergency work done and her regular dentist wasn't able to assist with what needed to be done. This location got us in fast, the staff is super friendly and have great energy! The office is bright and clean, there are tvs, books, play area available for those that are waiting with little ones. The staff kept me very informed with what work would be done and the need for the work. My daughter was made very comfortable during her procedure, she was handled with care. At the end of her visits (this is her second time here) she gets tokens to put in the toy machine. The first visit the staff was dressed in Toy Story characters which was pretty cool. I was able to schedule a same day appointment via their text system which I absolutely love being able to communicate with a live person for my scheduling needs especially being a super busy person. 1.5 Stars I'm really disappointed with Jacaranda Smiles West. Every time I bring my kids here, they complain about being in pain, which is very concerning as a parent. The customer service is also a big issue. During my last visit, the dentist and staff were very impatient and not considerate at all. On top of that, I've had my appointments canceled twice just for being 10-15 minutes late, with no understanding or flexibility. But today really pushed me over the edge. I came early for my 12 PM appointment and still wasn't seen until about 40 minutes later--and only after I had to complain and ask for a manager. The manager didn't seem to care and made excuses instead of taking accountability. I even mentioned that the east location has much better and faster service, and was told they "rotate staff," which honestly doesn't reflect my experience at all. Overall, this location lacks consistency, professionalism, and consideration for patients' time and comfort. Very frustrating experience. read more

Avoid this company at all costs- scheduling NIGHTMARE always, Every. Single. Time. Appointment will be made six months in advance, then they call you to say the office will be closed that day and the next available appointment is two months out. Not acceptable at all! There are way too many dental offices around that aren't mills pushing people in and out to the point that they cannot reschedule - due to their error. We have had enough. We have been here a couple of times with my three-year-old. He usually does well at the dentist, but today he was not having it at all. Everyone was so calm and patient with him, and even took the time to show him how the instruments work on his teddy bear! It was the cutest thing ever. You can also text their main number if you are unable to call and they respond in a timely manner. I absolutely love this office because they are so kind, loving, patient, and they always run right on schedule. 10/10, I recommend this pediatric dentist office! read more

I've been taking my young son to the West Pines location since his first dental appointment with Dr. Rene's predecessor. On my visit scheduled for today (Oct 3rd at 2 pm), an appointment we had to schedule almost two months out because of all the people attending this office location, I arrived to find that they no longer participated with our Federal Employee's dental plan. I don't have a problem with their withdrawal from our insurance plan, but I do take exception with the fact that we were never informed of this change until we showed up for our appointment. The technician lied and said that she's called and informed my wife of this change, but my wife, an Assistant Director With a Federal Agency received no such notification (no call or message). The only messages we received were Electronic Appointment Reminders. The very fact that they still had me scheduled for the appointment and told me there was an issue as-soon-as I arrived, tells me that they knew there was an issue and didn't think to call me or my wife directly before we made the trip out there (on a precious no-school day). The simple I'm sorry I received from the office staff, doesn't make-up for this lack of basic courtesy or consideration (they had eight weeks to let us know there was a problem). It definitely makes my transition to another Pediatric Dentist's Office a welcome one. read more

We had a really good experience with Dr. Milan Khakhria when it came to my son's braces. First, he did not rush into the process - he did the examinations as needed, and only decided on moving forward when it was necessary. Dr. Milan Khakhria is knowledgeable, skillful and has a great sense of humor. He has a friendly and attentive staff as well. In my son's own words, after his braces came off, he said, "About one and a half years ago, I had the experience of braces! Even though I knew it was and is good for me, I was not happy. Dr Landa is nice and professional. However the front office staff is not the most pleasant to deal with. If you're just making a simple appointment then it is fine. But if there's problems then don't expect this front office staff to be understanding and patient with you. I always ask to get an early afternoon appointment since my kid needs to go to school in the morning and most of her curriculum is taught in the morning. They refused to let me have a 1pm appointment saying that she's 5 and they can't do that. When she was 2, they said toddlers need to be seen in the morning. Now that she's 5, the office is still giving me this same saying and they refused to accommodate even after explaining her situation. I've taken my business elsewhere because I don't want to make my kid to miss school because they refuse to bend. Plenty of nice pediatric dentists out there willing to accommodate and none of them have ever heard this rule when I took my business elsewhere. In addition, their hygienists at this office in west Pembroke Pines aren't very friendly. At our new doctor office, I've had 2 different hygienists that knows how to talk to kids and are gentle with them even when they're throwing a tantrum...because not all kids like being poked and probed in their mouths. Dr Landa's hygienists were never so patient and kid friendly as what I have now at the new dentist. read more

My two children have had two sets of braces each (Round one and round two) We have been going to this facility for over 8 years so we are well known by the staff. My youngest child had three months left on her 2nd round of braces when the dentist told us that her teeth look real good and the braces could come off today. We were so happy until one of the staff members that we know very well told me that I had a final payment of 360. I told her OK with a smile and she stated "I need the payment now before the dentist finishes removing her braces." As my child lays in the chair with half of the braces removed I told her that I don't have the money on me since I didn't expect her braces to be removed today. She told me again that they will not finish until they were paid in full. I then needed to rush home knowing my little girl was laying in a chair with metal wires hanging out of her mouth to get them their $360.00 Dollars. Not only did we spend over 10,000.00 on our own children but we have sent them a ton of referrals since my wife worked at a children's hospital. Shame on you for putting us through this. At one time they were a loving practice now I would stay clear away from them, Apparently all they care about is money or they would have never done this to us. read more

Recently took my daughter for x-ray and cleaning and had the pleasure of having Gaby Esposito as the dental hygienist attend to her needs, She was very professional and gentle with Valentina, who is 6 years old. She quickly calmed her down and won her over with her caring and gentle ways. At the end of the cleaning Dr. Rene stopped by to introduce himself and explained clearly what was seen in the x-rays.
