Dave didn't seem to know that my hot water tank did not have an anode that needed to be checked, even though Pride had installed the tank. Then he quoted me $375 just to flush out the tank. He also quoted me $546.40 to swap out a defective kitchen faucet with the replacement supplied by Moen. $546.40 just for the labor! Plus $89.00 service call, which is NOT applied to the services. Got two estimates from other high-rated local plumbing companies, both were significantly less than half of what Pride charges. read more

We called Pride because they worked for us a couple of years back in an emergency situation. Their service was the reason we called again. This time we needed a hot water heater to be replaced. The new unit was on site when they came for an installation estimate. While Ethan was here I asked for a second estimate to replace a basement utility sink. He qoutes both within minutes and stated they could be done today. We went with that and he was done within a few hours. This included having the new basin delivered while he worked on the hot water heater. Their service was quite efficient in this way. I like Pride. I've worked with a few plumbers in the Rochester area, and they might be my go-to from here on out. I appreciated how everyone I dealt with was calm, courteous, and knew their business. I spoke to Ross on the phone at first, and he was great to coordinate with, especially since we had a couple of scheduling issues. Steve was the plumber who came out to take a look at our shower issue, and he was on time, and very professional. He let me know what we were looking at price-wise, and although it was a little steeper than I expected, the work they did was good. You should know that their service call price is $49. That's on the lower end in my experience, but they don't waive it if the work is more, it's added to your bill. That said, I talked to another plumber in the area whose service call price was $250 (bananas), so it's all relative. read more

Very disappointing experience. I paid a $129 service call fee (which is not applied to the repair) plus $723.99 to fix a toilet and two slow-draining sinks. The very next day, the toilet stopped working again. When I called, I was told their work is not warranted and I would have to pay another $129 just for them to come back out. Charging over $700 for a repair that doesn't even last 24 hours and then refusing to stand behind the work is unacceptable. I would not recommend this company. read more

Came out to snake out a plugged sewer drain line. Said he was not going to do a complete clean out but that he would clean the blockage and everything would be alright. Less than an hour and over $600 later the guy is wanting another $600 to clear the full width of the pipe. He was evasive when I asked about whether my basement would flood again saying "well you have a 30 day warranty" in an unconvincing tone while pursing his lips and looking away from me. The whole thing felt more than a little extortionate and totally unethical. If there as an option for 0 stars I would choose that. Response to commend below: A reasonable person would expect that "clear the blockage" would mean clearing the blockage from the pipe. Perhaps he should have said "I will dig out a 3" hole through the blockage in that 6" pipe and then ask for another $600 to actually clear the blockage." He did not say there was any damage to the sewer. He used a 3" tool on a 6" pipe and asked for another $600 to use the 6" tool. Really!!? How is that anything other than dishonest? Oh and I returned the call a couple times and the person who called me was never available and did not return my calls. read more

I had a running toilet and had pride come out and fix it. The plumber who came out was professional and pleasant. The plumber gave me a quote to fix the problem. Basically a canister top and seal. The price seemed very high ($580) but it could be fixed right now so I went with it. The plumber fixed the problem in under an hour and left. The problem was not fixed and he had to return 3 hours later. He had to replace the seal again and it was fixed. All day waiting for a return call. I just feel to replace a couple plastic pieces which could have been done in an hour, should not cost $580. You might want to call another plumber or check prices before calling pride. I called the company to talk about the price and never received a call back. When I called back I was told they had to find the part and bring it out to the plumber. They are a couple miles from my house. That is why it's that price. They also don't even include the service fee in the price, it's added on to the price. Usually when you have the work done the service fee is waived. Oh well. Live and learn read more

Pride Plumbing is one of the best service businesses that I have worked with. Their customer service team was excellent. We replaced our sump pump in April 2022 because it was failing. I called around and spoke to a few companies, but Pride had the best customer service. I still remember the young gentleman I spoke with initially. He was patient, knowledgeable, and willing to go above and beyond to answer all of my questions in detail over the phone. I didn't feel rushed throughout the conversation and after, I felt like I knew what to expect and the possible solutions. I wish I could remember his name to give him a shout out! The plumbers were great too. One came to check it out and provide a suggestion (and answer many more of my questions). I was able to have the replacement done within a couple of weeks after. Service was professional, helpful, and efficient. Great work and have not had any issues ever since. Even got a follow up call from customer service to make sure everything went smoothly at the end. I had a great experience with Pride Plumbing. I spoke to Jamie, who helped me get an appointment and explained their system for providing quotes. A service person gets sent out to quote your issue, then if you want to move forward, they likely have parts available and can do the requested work at that time instead of having to make another appointment. There is a service fee of $49 for them to come out, so I imagine this is charged to you if you decide not to get any work done. Seems fair as they are still driving to your house and looking in your pipes. Steve called me the day of my appointment to let me know he was on his way. As promised, he showed me several options and pricing for the work I was interested in (tub re-caulking and a leaky faucet repair). He completed the work in a few hours after I gave him the go-ahead, was professional and courteous, and didn't leave any messes behind. I had been putting off this tub repair for several months, and now it looks great. Every homeowner knows that hiring repair companies can be a crap shoot, but I would definitely use Pride Plumbing again. read more

I'm very disappointed with Pride Plumbing Services, Inc.. I called their office over a week ago to voice my complaint. I explained everything to the woman who answered, and she said she'd have someone call me the next day as the manager wasn't in the office. I never received a call back to resolve my issue, so that is why I am posting this review. I had a great experience with the first two guys who came to my house to replace the pump in my toilet on January 24, so that's why I didn't give this review 1 star. Those two guys were friendly, and they didn't leave behind a mess for me to clean up when when they left. On February 19, dirty water backed up into my tub in the upstairs bathroom because of a clog in the drainage pipe. In the basement, there was just a small drip coming from the elbow of the sewage pipe/drainage pipe, so I put a bucket under it. There was no flooding. It was just a little drip as the seal on that part of the pvc elbow must have worn out. I called Pride Plumbing, and Daniel came over. I showed him the tub and then the drip in the basement. He proceeded to hit the sewage pipe/drainage pipe with his hand, three times, really hard, right near the drip in the elbow of the sewage pipe, and the pipe separated from the elbow causing all the clogged up waste water to gush out all over my basement and pour out onto my dehumidifier and area rugs that covered my basement floor. I was so frustrated as he flooded my basement and damaged my dehumidifier. I had Daniel bring two of the area rugs to the curb, and I brought the other two rugs to the curb the next day. So the replacement of the elbow and snaking of the sewage pipe/drainage pipe, cost me $1,030 plus four area rugs! I had to sweep the water in the basement to the drain in the floor for the next few days, and I now have a screechy dehumidifier and no area rugs on my basement floor. I really hoped that Pride Plumbing would have called me back to make things right by replacing the four area rugs and my dehumidifier, but they have not, so I do NOT recommend them for your plumbing needs. read more

Our hot water heater quit, and they showed up same day, while my wife was home and dead set against two days of cold showers. The price was ridiculously high - $2100 for a tank I could have bought retail at The Big Box for $650. One plumber and one laborer finished the job in about 2.5 hours, so we paid combined labor of $300/hr. And then they admitted the heater was banged up, so - when she was thrilled to get a $100 discount - they probably offloaded one they got at a "damaged goods" price and netted another $150 out of us. I can't see us using these guys again. They take advantage of people who feel like they don't have any other option. read more

We have had Pride Plumbing do a lot of work for us over the last 4 years. We are looking to move out of the area soon and wanted to get some small but significant projects done to make our home the best it can be for a new buyer. Steve Clark, a senior plumber from Pride Plumbing, came yesterday to do a couple of small projects for us-replacing the outflow plumbing under our kitchen sink and repairing the hot and cold water steams on our downstairs shower. Hiring a plumber can be daunting AND expensive. I wouldn't say Pride Plumbing is cheap but their people are professionals and take the time to explain everything and provide options. The plumber that came out was nice and the business was responsive and sent reminders, but they wanted over 1,200 dollars for something that another plumber did for 378. I turned down the 1,200 dollars price and still had to pay a 49 dollar fee for them to show up and misdiagnose part of the problem. To be fair the 1,200 was comprised of Ala cart options, but to be sure the problem was resolved that is what would be needed. The other plumber that I went with offered camera work for free up front so that I wouldn't have to guess and pay for unnecessary work. So I'm sure they probably do a good job and are nice and responsive, but they were almost 4 times the price. Edit-- Pride plumbing was gracious enough to follow up after my review and refund me the fee for showing up. Again, I think they are very responsive and generally nice and not pushy. They also informed me that they are willing to price match other licensed plumbers, so that is good to know. read more

Keith and Bryce couldn't have been nicer and more professional. They were courteous with our dog, clean, and best of all, explained the features of the new unit. As a Pride Plumbing repeat customer, we received a discount and Keith even helped with the home improvement tax credit paperwork. Decided to use a plumber rather than do-it-myself to replace a $6.95 filler valve on a toilet. I had used Pride Plumbing a couple of times over the years and was satisfied. However, this time the two genial and competent technicians, as promised, gave me an "up front" (including $25 coupon discount) of $258.09 plus tax.. If I didn't accept the price (which is what I should have done) they would charge me $49.00 for the visit... I believe the price was outrageous for a job that took only a few minutes... But I did give the go-ahead as I am pretty old and wanted to avoid an accidental mishap doing the job... It is sad to see what has become of this business... Lesson learned! read more
