Absolutely LOVE Jack & Jill! Out little one had been in a in home setting that didn't work, Bealeton COA that closed. When COA was closing their doors we did not receive the greatest heads up. I met with Mrs. Lis as soon as I could, she was very accommodating on getting us in. Our little guys has now been there for 7 months and couldn't be happier! My child attended this school for quite some time. To say that they need an improvement and to step up their game is an understatement. Lunch is provided only Monday - Thursday. Friday you are required to pack. They are constantly changing the classroom that your child is in (also changing the teacher) which becomes very confusing, not only for the child but for the parent as well. You never know where to drop off or pick up your child because again, they are switching rooms way too much. When you pick up your child, you can never find them, you must also search each room for their coat and belongings because NO ONE has any idea where they are!! And they never bother to help find them either. The teachers do not teach a meaningful curriculum, which is not their fault but I still needed to point out. The preschool program does not start until age 4, which only gives the child a year to learn the necessities they need before kindergarten. Which I feel is not enough time at all. In the time that my child attended here, I noticed no difference in his knowledge. In fact, I noticed that his behavior continued to get worse. Maybe due to the fact that there is no consistency in this school, or maybe the fact that he continued to get into trouble for petty things. ( for example, I received a Letter home that he had a bad day for trying to kiss a friend, and because he dropped a cookie and ate it off the floor). Typical 3 year old behavior. I complained at one point because he continued to come up with poopy underwear and no one would notice and change him (even though he stunk) and no one would help him to wipe to prevent this issue. Literally THE NEXT WEEK after I complained, I was bombarded with a meeting when I walked in for pickup stating that my child's behavior has been out of control for months and was basically given no choice by the owner and director but to get my child tested for special needs. What!?!? I was confused as to why his behavior WAS NEVER mentioned before. I can not tell you how much my son has improved since LEAVING this school. He knows his ABC's, he can count to 10 in Spanish, his behavior has improved DRAMATICALLY, he even comes home singing songs that he learned. The best thing about this school was our last day and never having to come back!!!! There are a few good teachers, but the director Ms. Wally and owner Ms. Liz just make this place hell in a hand basket. NOT the jack and Jill school that it used to be when I attended as a child! UPDATE: there was never a five star review and no one ever tried to "help" my child. If you consider forcing us to get him tested for special needs because he doesn't "behave like a normal three year old" (even though his pediatrician, special needs teacher that we spoke to, and multiple friends and family members said he is completely normal and actually advanced for his age!!) and having him come home crying everyday because his teacher was "mean to him" and he got in trouble for kissing a friend or eating the cookie off the floor that he dropped, if you consider that to be "helping him", then maybe you are the one that needs to be tested! This school helped with nothing but making our lives a nightmare for the last few months. I wish I had listened to the previous employee who warned me not to send my child here. Love Jack and Jill! My 2 boys went here and I was so happy with the loving and caring staff. My boys learned so much and were prepared for kindergarten. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a clean, safe and caring environment for their children. 5 stars all the way around! read more

My son recently left Jack and Jill, and I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on the childcare center. Please keep in mind I do not ever write reviews, but felt the need to, because this place has placed such a huge role in my child's life over the last year. I read the review from the previous parent and was shocked because my family did not experience any of the things they referenced. Now let me be clear, they do provide food Monday - Thursday, and kids pack on Friday, but ok that is their policy and you know that when you sign your child up. When they get to public school, you will have to pack lunch, so I do not see what the big deal is. As for changing classrooms, my son was always in the same classroom when I came to pick him up. Now he would sit in one classroom in the morning and have breakfast with all the kids, but when breakfast was over, they would all go to their respective rooms. Again, it is very similar to public school, so I do not see what the big deal is. As for the staff, I cannot say enough nice things about Mrs. Wally. My son literally loves her like she was his own Meme. She always had his best interest at heart, and he looked forward every day to going and seeing her. His favorite memory was getting there early on Tuesday mornings and getting to help carry in the grocery bags, he loved being Mrs. Wally's big helper. Now there were days that my son misbehaved (I mean he is a kid, they all misbehave) and Mrs. Liz or Mrs. Wally would have a conversation with me about it, but it was never anything rude or harsh, it was always a nice debrief of the day, and at the end of it, my son would be told he needs to make better choices the next day. I would never get offended by them talking to me about his behavior because they would spend more time with him during the week than I am able to due to work. Again, they have his best interest at heart and want him to grow up to be respectful and a good human being just like my wife and I want him to. Unfortunately, you cannot please everyone, and that is evident in the previous post. That being said if you come to Jack and Jill and expect this flashy commercial daycare, then you will not get what you are expecting. Jack and Jill is the perfect hybrid between a home daycare and a commercial daycare. It is not as flashy as some of the newer daycares around and may not have all the same bells and whistles, however, at the end of the day, it has what matters most, love and nurture for the children entrusted to them. It is a place where they will treat you like family and will take care of your little ones the same way your Grammy and Papa would. We moved our daughter from another Preschool in Warrenton and has since then attended Jack & Jill for 3+ years and enjoyed every moment . Both of my children went here for years. This is a loving daycare that is far more than your typical big name places. Staff is friendly and the owner is always around to help out. Mrs Wally is caring and to this day my children have very fond memories of her. We like how all the staff is honest and fair in all matters. In closing we liked how there was ongoing communication on how our children were developing and what issues we needed to keep an eye on. read more
