This past week, I had a burger craving so opted for the Bacon and Cheddar burger. They were able to sub with Swiss Cheese, but I wish they offered a classic Swiss cheese and mushroom burger, or elevated it with aioli. These options were only available with the Bison burger. The regular burger was tasty and moist as usual, but I probably had 2 days' worth of calories in the one meal - my own fault. I was hungry. There was an abundance of fried onion straws - too much actually, so I removed quite a lot to my plate. Next time, I will stick with the classic burger. Service was fair - our server seemed to have the majority of tables in another section and out of view. We were her only table on the one side, so it was a bit difficult to get her attention. Atmosphere and decor was good. Over the years, I've been disappointed that Turtle Jack's in general has changed and reduced their classic menu choices. I used to love their Apple Brie Burger with special sauces, bruschetta with reduced balsamic vinaigrette, and brunch menu. I'm sure it was more labour-intensive so I get it, but it was the reason that this restaurant stood out from the rest in its early years. I will try their dusted chicken wings again in the future. I have seen other reviews where they changed their recipe, so I hope that they didn't alter a good product.

Ordered the fried perch which was seasoned amazingly! Sweet potato fries and the crab poutine which I did not think I would like but it was soooooo good and flavors were unexpected. Service was quick and my daughter and niece were pleased also with everything. Will definitely come back to Hamilton just to eat here

They serve theirs in plump juicy strips with a spicy yuzu (citrus fruit that tastes like a cross between a lemon and an orange) aioli with a surprising - and welcome - kick. Service is great. I took the liberty of cleaning the lettuce before eating it. We also received dirty plates but bringing this to our server's attention quickly remedied the problem.
