This place is where all the major events happen from Men's and Women's Basketball, Commencement, (High School and MSU), concerts, trade shows, HS state championships). We attended the MSU vs. Oregon Ducks Men's game in January. MSU won which always makes thr visit great! As far as the facility: - Accessibility Access and Friendly. Parking, Complimentary Wheelchair, and accessible seating. - Seating is about 15K - Bathrooms are clean but lines can get long. - I couldn't provide any info on the food or drink as I didn't get anything. The student section is always rocking. The cheerleaders were great! They continually hyped up the crowd and gave away shirts by tossing into the crowd. Go Green and Go White traditions get the crowd into it. Which was needed as Oregon was playing like their hair was on fires. But the game turned around and MSU ending up winning! The legend Tom Izzo ending up tying the Big Ten record for W's (352) and shared it with Bobby Knight. Overall, great venue, great staff and parking is easy. read more

We went on a tour of the Jack Breslin Center put on by the M.S.U. Alumni Association. The tour was pretty cool , we were able to see areas that you never think about. We toured the following areas: private suites off the concourse, the main arena floor,the M.S.U.Basketball museum. We also were able to walk into the men's and women's practice facility, weight room area,that includes a barber shop and some unique technology for team practice. We also viewed the Green Room, the Pressroom, and the south basement tunnel entrance area, where a portion of the main floor can be raised hydralicy to bring in exhibits. read more

The Breslin is an iconic place on MSU's campus. It's home to the Izzone, MSU men's basketball's rowdy student section, and has been the venue for graduation ceremonies and concerts. I've been to a handful of basketball games there, including an incredibly exciting game versus Purdue in February 2022. The energy and excitement inside the Breslin center on game day is electric! I'm not a big fan of watching basketball on TV, but being in person at The Bres is a whole experience. The crowd is always chanting and cheering, and the band does a great job of pumping everyone up. Parking can be tough but if you get there early enough, you can find some spots in lots nearby. We were lucky enough to get a prime parking pass for the lot right outside the Breslin since we got the tickets from a friend with season tickets. Definitely a benefit of season tickets! Getting out of the parking lot after the game didn't take too long and traffic seemed to be moving steadily. Note that as of February 2022, there is a no bag policy at the Breslin Center. There are quite a few options for food inside the Breslin Center, including walking tacos, pulled pork sandwiches and nachos, burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, popcorn, hot dogs, soft pretzels, roasted almonds, pizza, smoothies, fries... etc.! The Breslin Center doesn't serve any alcohol. The facility itself is large, clean, and bright. I liked the trophy area where you can see a bunch of different awards that coaches have won in the past. There's lots to see inside, so give yourself some time to explore if you're interested in the history of MSU and its sports. Definitely a must-see place for any Michigan State fan. This is my first time at a Michigan State University Men's Basketball Game. My mom went to college here. This is one of the best places to watch a college basketball game. Michigan State Basketball has been rocking the past 20+ years. It always gets loud and crazy when games are here. My mom got the tickets for me online and the seats were very high. Nice! Went here for a Cooley Law Graduation over the weekend. The concourse is pretty wide and even when jammed full of friends and families of graduates there's no claustrophobic feel. Weren't any big jam ups either. Seating is good, typical fold-down chairs. There was plenty of room between rows so you don't need to be a contortionist. Oh and the seats feel like they're higher... compared to other places I've been. The big screen is very clear and the speakers were also well tuned for the acoustics in the building, none of that weird echo or feedback loops - bonus! The common areas are clean and well maintained as are the men's rooms, concession stands are well spaced and fire exits are obviously marked. Like most sporting/concert venues Breslin Center had steep stairs, but at least the railings running down the center of the steps were sturdy. All in all I think it's a pretty great place, I'll probably end up checkin' out an MSU game sometime in the future. read more

Basketball time! My favorite time of the year with my favorite team! My first venture into the Bres. This place is absolutely fantastic. Very spacious for a basketball only arena. My dream would be to referee a high school basketball state championship game here! We went to a non-conference game here. Not as electric of a vibration as I was hoping but it was non-conf and not as many students. All seats are pretty decent and have good views. When we were here the school had a reunion and we saw a bunch of past MSU stars including the Magic man himself. This was a nice touch which I hadn't expected. Can't wait to go again! read more

ENORMOUS!!!! This place is used for Graduations, MSU Games, Carnivals, etc so try to imagine a place so universal that these different events are able to be held there. I came here to watch Cirque Du Soleil several years back and they used the entire floor. Let's just say that it was a hike just to use the restroom but it was well worth it as your entertainment for the night was well placed in this gigantic place of a building. Though I have not been in here when there was a Basketball game or any other sort of big event going on through MSU, I heard it can be a blast. I have also come to Breslin as a volunteer when we would come to clean up as part of a fundraiser opportunity that Breslin offers. The place is ridiculous to clean up, but hey, they offer it to student groups so that they can get paid a decent amount for a decent days worth of work. This place isn't as big as the Palace in Detroit, but it's almost the same set-up. Get ready to walk! read more

I've seen so many MSU basketball games here that it's ridiculous! Always fun! There are good seats no matter where you are. I've seen one concert here that was okay. Nothing compared to the larger arenas in Michigan, like the Palace. I can't really complain since this is my Alma Mater. read more

Being an Izzone member for 4+ years have its perks - besides basketball, us students got to enjoy one of the better basketball stadiums around, especially since their new digital scoreboard upgrade. The food is nothing to write home about, but it does offer some local favorite ice cream, MSU-inspired drinks and food items. The bathrooms are plenty, but you still need to time it right in order to avoid huge lines. And parking is straight-forward, albeit frustrating if you don't park strategically. Tips: - They let you bring in sealed water bottles, so you can save some $ there. - Park by the exit so you can get out much quicker. There are other places to park too (hint: IM circle) if it's an event on the weekend. Requires a little bit of walking, but definitely worth it. - Take lots of pictures. read more

Unlike the other sports centers at Michigan State, Jack Breslin Student Event Center provides a technologically up-to-date environment for basketball games, graduations, and concerts. Every event I have attended has been keenly orchestrated by the staff at Breslin, regardless of the event type. Breslin has a large number of vendor stands, but is limited in variety; the bathrooms are typically clean and numerous; and the seating is adequately comfortable, albeit mostly plastic benches. However, Breslin does have a shortage of parking next to the facility, so for larger events/games expect to walk upwards of 1/4 a mile. For most basketball games there are shuttles, but I have no clue where they go to/from. read more

This is a gray place for graduation ceremonies. It's indoors, so no worries about the weather. It's large enough to accommodate lots of family and friends of the students, but not so large that the importance of the event is lost. I would like to see The Spartans play basketball there someday. read more

After handing over our tickets to get in, my wife and I were directed to the ticket center to purchase an additional ticket for my 7 month baby! That's like telling me my shirt will need a ticket.
