I really really want to give more stars, but my experience unfortunately confirmed a lot of the other reviews for this location. In a world of COVID, drive-thru is king with convenience, minimal contact, and the promise of a hot meal you can enjoy once home. The Sunday I decided to venture out of my bubble and try breakfast turned out to be a bit of a mess. When I arrived, there were two cars in line. OK - "no problem" I thought. I really should have reversed out of the line, but in about 5min there were two cars behind me, so I was locked in. Probably one of the worst drive through experiences I have ever had, it took forever to actually move up, place and order... and then after placing the order, you were stuck in line for another 20min. I understand the Jack in the Box menu is extensive so I'm sure it messes up all the prep time depending what people were ordering. Sunday morning... they were out of coffee... so I opted for soda. What I received was luke-warm soda (no ice at all)... and the staffer tried to give me a straw twice which makes me believe he was just going through the motions. I get it... it's a job, but at least attempt to do it somewhat well. The only redeeming factor was that the food was tasty... {maybe cause at that point I was ready to eat my hand}. My first night visiting Charlotte, NC again (I do come to this city often!), and I was tired and hungry. "Hangry," if you will. I got in late and I just wanted to get something quick and head to my hotel room. I had some work to do, so I wasn't even going to be able to rest! But I needed some fuel (albeit fast food fuel) to keep me going so I could write up some files. I decide on my order at the first menu and pulled up to the second menu to place my order. The woman greeted me and I began to tell her what I wanted. She immediately interrupted and told me that I was going to have to wait about 20-30 minutes for my food because they had a large online order that came in and they had to take care of that first. I asked her if she wanted me to go ahead and order and then pull off to the side to wait. She told me no, she didn't want me to order, I was going to have to wait in the parking lot for half an hour and then I could order. So much for being "fast" food. I drove to a parking place to look up a different restaurant to order from. Not another Jack In The Box. Instead, I decided on pizza. As I was scrolling through Yelp, I saw them reject another customer who wanted to order at the drive-thru window. That person looked pretty perturbed as they left the drive-thru and drive off. My husband and I order food get up to the window, the guy confirms our order we pay and get our food. We get all the way home to find out that half of our order is missing. So I call up to the restaurant and they said we could back or the could fix it later. So we came back up to this location. We called inside to see if we have to wait in the drive up or could we come in, they stated the restaurant was not open. So we had to Wait in a five car deep line to start off with, then we finally after 20 minutes get up to the window and tell them what is going they only offer to replace the food we never received, now keep in mind we went all the way home noticed the food missing and had to come back up ( which we brought the bag of food with). All they are willing todo is give us what we are missing and now half of our food is cold. This is the worst service ever... if you want your order right I would highly recommend chick fil a because they make it right when it is there fault. Also don't expect an apology. So let me start by saying I've been a long time customer of this company long before I moved to NC, which I was shocked to find out Charlotte is about the only area to find one in the entire state, none the less, makes my experience here when I come through the area that much better, being it isn't something I get a chance to enjoy often. Ive been in the food industry a long time, but I literally just drove 3 hours and went out of my way to show up and be told I'd have to wait 15-20 (which it's been longer than that now) mins until third shift shows up for work and they can't serve anyone. I watched now about 6 other vehicles pull up and be told the same thing. It was roughly about 9:50 when I pulled into the parking lot it is now 10:11 and there's still no one here... My problem is that your management should have never stopped serving or changed a register out until they were adequately staffed correctly to begin with. This is the result of poor leadership, and integrity, and more or less a lack of quality employee vetting. I have been in the restaurant industry for almost a decade now, to stop POS service to your customers during operating hours is detrimental to not only your profits as a business but your image to your customers as well. I love jack in the box food, but the service is terrible at this location. It's the closest one to me which means I won't be ordering from there anymore. I ordered through the app 8:20pm, app said it would be delivered between 9:03 to 9:46. It never came. I called 4 times before getting an answer because I knew they close at 10pm. First time someone answered, person hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. Called back again. Asked why they hung up on me, said they didn't hear me so hung up. They heard me fine when saying I ordered through the app, until I asked to speak to a manager hung up on me. She said she didn't hear anyone on the line. She didn't say hello are you there or anything. Just hung up. Asked about my order, they told me it wasn't delivered and was still sitting there. I asked what am I suppose to do. They told me that the food was getting thrown away. I asked about my money I paid for it and delivery fees and even tipped. The woman I spoke with told me she was the manager the same person who hung up on me. She said I needed to contact whoever I ordered the food from for delivery. I told her I used the Jack in Box app which doesn't say who they are using for delivery. So now that it fell back on her, she tells me to call back the next day to fix the problem. I asked for her name which she was hesitant. I believe she gave me a fake name. I will not ordering from this location again. This is why I do not order delivery. You can't trust the service. Can't trust the delivery can't trust the restaurant. Haven't ordered deliver in years and this was why. Owner needs to fire people and stop assuming they can fix mistakes. They are lazy rude and don't have any respect. They are handling food and money. They need to be responsible. It's always like blame the customer for a job you don't like. Owner needs to step up. This location hasn't changed and continues to be a terrible location. Getting better the manager was just let go and they have a new manager who is there to clean up the place. I'm Mr Pickles and there every day been they like 10 -12 different managers and going there for like 20 years. Breakfast is awesome and ultimate cheese burger great (loaded with pickled). When getting tacos should ask for the shredded cheese they use for salads. To the new manager I really hope to see you again soon in the morning #24 with bacon large Diet Coke . The customer service you receive at this location is horrid. The staff is so rude and unwelcoming that you can't help but to never step foot at this location. We ordered food through the drive through and they rudely requested that we pull in front of the building so they can bring it to us. The woman that was working at the drive though seemed like she didn't enjoy her job and was taking out the frustrations on the customers. I really don't think that they understand that the only reason they are up and running is because of customers. At this economy I really wish that people were appreciative to have a job.
