Overall, I believe I might go back to this What impressed me was the authentic decor it's large and I hear they have live music on certain evenings although there was none our evening, but they did have a good playlist. We were seated pretty quickly on the patio. It was a nice breezy evening perfect for alfresco dining. Initially our service was fast. Our server came over. Took care of our water brought our additional drink orders and then took our order for food, but then it took a while. Eventually we did get it and I was surprised how well I liked the refried black beans and their rice I opted for their Birria tacos and they were very flavorful and the consommé was delicious. My husband opted for the fish tacos and well he had to fish for the fish in the fish tacos. It was very little and that was very disappointing. I asked him if he would return and he said he would, but he would either not get the fish tacos because they don't have near enough fish to be called a fish taco or he would ask that they put an adequate amount of fish in the taco. It was more slaw and cilantro than fish. But he did agree that the refried black beans were extremely delicious and the rice was very flavorful as well. We both like their chips, which are served with their house salsa. I was not a fan of the salsa. I like mine with a little bit more sweet nod, but my husband did enjoy the salsa. Overall, it was a good first time experience and I usually give a restaurant 2 to 3 tries before I figure if they're just not for me so we'll definitely come back again

Went with a group of 5 on a Saturday night, we arrived at 8:35 PM and they warned us they were closing the kitchen in 20 min. So we needed to get orders in asap. (Sat night, DT Charlotte NC?) the service was nice though, and the food was good, nothing revolutionary or unique, but solid American Mexican chain vibes. Maybe come for happy hour? The chips and salsa stood out more than Barria tacos though if that's a good barometer

Fajitas (4/5): Only came with 3 tortillas which was a bummer. The steak was good. Lot's of butter. The beans were extremely bland. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Dos Caminos is a great place to stop in for a bite to eat and/or a drink. Though we didn't eat anything, the food being served around us smelled delicious! Sitting at the bar, we interacted with the bartender and ordered the house frozen marg and one on the rocks, as well as chips and salsa. The establishment was decently packed and when we walked by a few hours later, the crowd was much bigger. May be a good spot for the evening time hours!

An upscale Mexican restaurant with a high energy atmosphere. Inside is deceptively large, with a variety of tables, high top, and booth seating. The menu steers clear of being too broad and is has tight of traditional burritos, creative tacos, and mostly grilled platters. App options are as expected, and we tried the large guacamole and also queso with added chorizo - both were good. Our party of 4 all ordered tacos (3 blackened fish, one grilled pork), which came with beans & rice. Everyone enjoyed! They came buy with churros with filling sauces which were awesome! Service was a bit uneven.

I'm a Mexican food connoisseur and take it quite seriously lol. This place was really cute and the drinks were so yummy!! I won't say this is authentic Mexican food but it definitely yummy. If you have a group I suggest the margarita tower, I enjoyed the passion fruit flavor the most.

We had dinner at Dos Caminos tonight, and unfortunately the experience got off to a very rough start. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be 15-20 minutes. It appeared there may have been a private event happening, so things seemed a little chaotic, which is understandable. What wasn't understandable was what happened next. A customer accidentally broke a glass. The hostess moved the party to another table but left the broken glass on the floor. For at least 20 minutes, the glass remained there while the hosts chatted at the stand, one cleaned menus, and multiple servers walked by it -- some even stepping over it. As a mom, all I could think about was someone getting hurt. It was honestly shocking that no one took responsibility for cleaning it up immediately. Meanwhile, our wait stretched to over 30 minutes, and we watched other parties who appeared to have just walked in get seated ahead of us, despite the fact that we were standing almost directly in front of the host stand the entire time. After finally asking about our table, we were seated -- but without menus. I walked back to the host stand and got them myself. Once our server arrived, the experience improved and service at the table was generally fine. The food was meh. I ordered the giant soup and was disappointed. It tasted more like a basic chicken vegetable soup with tortilla strips than anything I would consider Mexican-inspired. My biggest takeaway isn't even the food--it's the lack of attention to guests and basic safety at the front of the house. Leaving broken glass on the floor for that long is unacceptable, and the host team could benefit from better training in guest service, communication, and supporting the rest of the restaurant staff. Do better!

I visited this restaurant in hopes of doing a buyout event. The space was very well decorated and lended itself to a nice space for a private event with outdoor/indoor options, DJ, etc. I was surprised that the restaurant (and event manager) did not make sure that we had the best experience, to include service. Our server seemed like they were still in training (slow refill of drinks, didn't bring share plates, etc) - why not assign your most experienced server to our table?? One of the first questions asked is about dietary restrictions - one guest didn't eat pork....her plate included beans mixed with pork. I shared my concern live time to the manager....no follow up at the end of our meal or beyond. Strange way to try and gain business for a buyout for your restaurant!

    Carne Asada. Blah!

Native Texan here, so yes--I'm biased when it comes to Mexican food. Unfortunately, this place was mediocre at best and overpriced for what you get. I ordered the carne asada and was genuinely excited, but it was a letdown from the start. They never asked how I wanted the steak cooked, which is a huge mistake. Then they covered the steak in cheese--why? That completely overpowered everything. I couldn't even taste the chimichurri. A suggestion: grill the steak properly and serve it simply. If you need cast iron, use a skillet--not a cast iron bowl. Don't drown it in cheese, and please don't cut my steak for me. I'm a grown adult and can handle that myself. On the positive side, the service was on point--our waitress was amazing. The inside was clean and had a kind‑of Mexican vibe going on.

The restaurant is gorgeous.... And we had Evan, who understood we were on a mission for food and drinks asap (we had left a restaurant bc we sat there for 20 min without even a glance). He was awesome Food was good.... Loved my taco salad.

Dos Caminos was conveniently within walking distance from where I was staying, so I decided to give it a try! Upon arrival, I was seated without a reservation, which was a plus. I did wait a little while before the server came over, but once she did, her customer service was spot on. The ambiance of this establishment is very vibrant, with beautiful light fixtures and both indoor and outdoor seating options that set the perfect vibe. They started me off with complimentary chips and salsa--always a nice touch. For my entrée, I went with the pollo tacos, paired with black beans and rice. Honestly, after just one taco I was already full! To sip on, I ordered the passion fruit mocktail, which was refreshing and perfect for the evening. Overall, a great dining experience and worth a visit if you're in the area!

We were meeting someone in the area and were early, so we stopped in to have a drink. Cute space. The bartender was super super nice! I had inquired about mocktails, not listed on the menu and he offered to make me anything on the menu without the booze! He also offered us up some salsa and chips, which unfortunately we declined as we were heading to dinner! I'd definitely go back for a meal!

I would 100% come back for the patron tower the drinks were so good! However the appetizers we ordered were just okay, nothing really excited me or stood out to me.

We were a walk in but were able to score a table outside which was perfect. The drinks are good and the staff members work as a team so there's not one primary waitress. I ordered a custom drink where I told the server what I liked and the bartender created something based on my likes. It was a "fruity" tequila based drink and I enjoyed it. We were given a bowl of complementary kettle corn to enjoy with our drinks. The music was a mix of r&b and hip hop and was loud enough to vibe but didn't overpower the conversations. Random Notes: Parking is validated and the hidden bathroom was so cute. The inside is perfect for selfies lol.

There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.
