I order from the El Sobrante location and I have to say that they are hit and miss... Ordered a supreme sourdough breakfast sandwich most recently but got a sourdough breakfast jack instead. That's a $3 item disparity that I got charged for. Plus it was a greasy, soggy train wreck that soaked through the bag and coated my fingers when I pulled it out! Disgusting! Farther back, I ordered 2 grilled jack wraps only to get them home and discover they were fried. I threw them away and had nothing to eat that night. Also, this location is within walking distance, but they lock their doors after the sun sets and refuse to let people in to order; the only real way to get an accurate order... Do better and hire better people. You get $20+ dollars an hour so act like professionals and take your jobs more seriously, because sometimes people only have a very few, if any, meal options. read more

Long overdue live close by I placed an app order requesting 4 ranch's with my order and they only give us 2 ranch's for 6 tacos and large curly fries plus in the app I asked for 4 I should of checked before I drove off but of course only 2 given not the first second or third time having a issue at this place over sauces/condiments or orders seem like they think the sauces come out of their check but if I ordered on the app and the app did not make me pay for the sauces and my order is paid for they should honor it I'm sure corporate would feel the same.... read more

ERIKA (lady with glasses) HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! She rushed to take my order through the drive in box and had an attitude as I was going to pay for my order. I had ordered a Large Oreo shake and Large curly fries. As she proceeded to give me my items, she was giving me a regular Oreo shake and I corrected her that I had ordered a LARGE Oreo shake respectfully. She insisted that it was a regular shake until she looked at the receipt and said "oh yeah it was a Large" she prepared my large Oreo shake and handed me my second item which were the fries. As she gave me the bag, since she had already messed up once. I decided to look inside the bag before leaving. She had handed me Large regular fries. I told her that I had ordered Large Curly fries not regular fries. She very rudely said "you didn't check the screen or what" and I said Yes I did check the screen and it said curly fries, and ontop of that she had added one more item but I wasn't able to look at the screen to see what was it because she had removed the screen right away. I told her that maybe she had removed the curly fries and added the French fries since she had mistakenly added an extra item. Since the beginning she had an attitude with me and I was respectful until she rudely said if I had checked the screen like if I was stupid. I did say something under my breath and she took it WAY too personal and almost threw the bag at me and closed her window as I said I wanted a refund. At this point I am furious. So I grabbed the bag and did throw it inside the store. She then grabbed the bag and threw the Fries inside my car and locked the drive thru window. At this point I am FURIOUS, so I parked my car and got down to speak to the manager to get my refund and ask for her name. As I was inside speaking to the manager about what happened, she just kept smirking and laughing as if this was funny to her. I've never been this mad in my life to the point that I was shaking out of anger. Thankfully the manager came out and I explained to her the situation and got my refund. The manager was very sweet and handled the situation great. Really appreciate her for that. The young lady said it was in the bag and close the window.. I seen it was not in the bag so I waited until she came back and it seems like I was being ignored. When she open the window she said what else you did you need? I told her more sauce. she gave it to me and I said to her that she was being unprofessional. They have good value things there and they serve the coke with all the flavors which I also like. i think this place is okay. i haven't really gone to any other jack in the boxes, and don't remember how their food service was, but i'm sure they spoke better english. my mom would always take me and my siblings here when we were hella tiny, so it's got some sentimental values. the service ain't so great... okay, the service sucks and food is mediocre. if you really need jack in the box, there's a better one in san pablo. well, i'm not sure if it's better, but it is a lot newer. it's also where some of el sobrante's tweekers hang out. there has also been a few robberies/shootings. this review sucks like this jack in the box. read more

I usually don't like the Jack in the Box in Hercules because the food is not as good there as other Jack in the Boxes, but it is the only place open in the middle of the night so I have no choice when my Husband who works a night shift comes home and is hungry. So my 5 Stars goes out to one employee for the excellent service and for the great food she made us this morning. Her name was Irma Almanza. Not only was she nice, but she took really good care of me at 4am, and she was the only one working too. I buy food at Jack in the Box a minimum of 10 times a month and this time the food was perfect. Jack-in-the-Box is always a place I love to go get food for you know a quick bite to go and it never failed me but when it comes to rude employees that gives attitude just because of miscommunication doesn't serve you the right to be like well you already confirmed your order in a sarcastic tone or I asked you twice if the order was right on the screen. Don't order anything with chicken in it from here late night. Or maybe just don't go to the Jack in the Box at this location at all. The first time I came here late night, I ordered chicken tenders. While I was eating them at home, I immediately had to spit them out because the chicken was crunchy on the inside. Half of them were cooked and the other half of them were still raw. Totally gross! The second time I came here late night again, I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and it wasn't until after I had swallowed a couple of the first pieces of chicken that I realized some of the chicken pieces were again raw because they were crunchy. I definitely got food poisoning right after and it messed up my stomach for the next two days, with horrible nausea.
