    Tacos!!!
    Natalie C.

Definitely check out El Trompudo if you're in the area, the food is so good, and they give you so much topping for your tacos. The horchata also never misses. They make the food super fast here, perfect for a quick bite. The bathroom is clean. The ambience is great. Service is good. You can't really go wrong with a meal here.

Can't go wrong with their tacos. I love how they have many choices including tripe, tongue, and buche. It can get busy but it's worth the wait. There's additional parking at the back of the building.

I love this place!!! I eat here at least 3 times a week!!!! The food is always amazing!!!! The service is wonderful. Today is had a surf and turf burrito, first bite was juicy and flavorful. The carne Asad was wonderful. Their beans are my absolute favorite. Another favorite of mine is the huevos rancheros. Delicious!!!!

Food was A1! Got some quesa birrias! Service was great some young dudes with great customer service! It's a home feel ambiance a little hole in the wall! I love it! Call In advanced to get your food don't come in here hangry expecting fast food services! They get a lot of phone orders and have people who are waiting for their orders. It's worth the patience:)!! So good!

Al Pastor Quesadilla. It comes as a whole dinner plate for $12.99!

I was on a personal retreat in the area. Before getting started, I just wanted to grab a late dinner. I felt like going Mexican, and yelpers gave this a good rating, so I decided to head over. I ordered the Al Pastor quesadilla. I opted to dine in and then soon realized it actually came as a whole dinner plate! There were very generous helpings of refried beans and rice. The beans were also topped with a smooth layer of melted queso. The bed of shredded lettuce and tomatoes was super fresh. And unlike a lot of taquerias where the Pastor is heavily sweet, here it was more tangy than sweet with the pork marinated very thoroughly. Everything stayed hot, even through a cold autumn night. I finished most of it, but still had a slice of quesadilla left. I usually leave something like this in the fridge for a couple of nights to finish off later, so I don't get taste fatigue. But I enjoyed it enough that I decided to finish it that same night as a late snack. Aesthetically I have to admit the dish looked plain. But its appearance belied the subtle and pleasantly balanced blend of different spices and flavors. I'm really glad I dropped by. Thank you my fellow yelpers for beckoning me here. Another bonus was that everywhere was really clean, including the restroom. It was clear that ownership was very conscientious about how it cooked as well as how it kept the establishment. And a convenient parking lot to boot. Being in San Pablo, it's not too far from me, but then, sadly, not too close. At $12.99 for such a generous and tasty offering, it's a borderline steal. I just wish it was also on a borderline of Oakland.

Burrito mojado with cabeza and extra sauce

Called in for pick-up. My usual go-to is a wet burrito with cabeza. Probably my favorite cabeza I've had so far. I rarely dine in, because the tables are kinda sticky, and it can get kinda warm. Seats aren't the most comfortable. Staff is friendly. Prices have gone up a bit, but not everything can be a costco hotdog.

I didn't use the utensils I kno wassup

This place has been consistently good every time I'm in the area for work within the past 8 years. From the tacos, to the chile relleno, I mean bru No manches The pupusas DONT SLEEP on em. Everything here I love and I just wanna try more but only come out when I work in the area. Very chill I've brought many ppl here very awesome

I'm always looking for good Mexican food, and when looking I go on yelp ! Upon arriving ,I knew immediately this was my new favorite spot for tacos .I ordered the shrimp taco ,carne asada ,and grilled chicken ! All 3 had such great flavors and the shrimp was also grilled .I ordered a Jamaica to drink. .The chips were not homemade , but that's ok ,because everything else tasted amazing . I loved the Ambiance of the inside but not many places to sit ,a little small but worth going and sitting

4.5 stars, best tacos in the area imo! Got the al pastor, cabeza, and lengua. Very flavorful and kind service. Just had to wait 25-30 minutes on a Wednesday night which was longer than expected. Free chips and salsa which is nice but it is limited to 2 salsas per order. The chips are also circular instead of your typical tortilla chips. Nice and toasty! Will def return next time we're in the area.

Terrible burrito. They put some kind of sugar that makes it sweet and disgusting into a meat burrito. Really low quality everything.

The wet super burrito is massive and mine was packed with carnitas, pinto beans and all the fixings. On their board menu it said "super wet burrito", so that confused me for a second. Lol. The nachos order is big too though I might ask for yellow cheese and pinto beans next time instead of shredded cheese and refried beans. I like their blend of horchata too. It was slow and not crowded for a Sunday after 6 pm. I filled some of the tiny round containers with sauces, limes, and marinated veggies while waiting for my to go order. I've frequent this taqueria a hand full of times and it's the closest mission style taqueria up here in pinole. It's always good service, tasty dishes with decent prices. That's why us humans go back. BUT when u charge extra for a certain type of proteins, there's room for questioning. So I ordered super nachos with carne asada as my meat and a small bottle coke. The total amount came to $24.40, I was surprised. I looked closer to the receipt and it was an extra $2.00 for the asada. Please just add it on the price or put it on the menu "extra for Carne Asada" so we don't get a little receipt shock. $25 dollars for super nachos and a small bottle of coke. The food hasn't changed in all that time which is a huge compliment. I remember running into my teachers here constantly because not even they could resist the burritos. All orders come with condiment cups so you can grab pico de gallo, salsas, radishes, lime wedges, or jalapeños from their salsa bar. True Californians know salsa is meant to be poured onto each bite of your burrito and Taqueria Maria provides 3 tasty homemade salsas to do that with. Staff are friendly and fast. I'm also pretty sure it's family run. Not the place for a fancy meal or decor but if you want Mexican food done right and big portions for your money then this is your spot. I used to come here for burritos and was overall happy with my visits. Before I did yelp of course. Today I went in and the prices kept changing when she was telling me how much the items were. Maybe we were both confused but she told me at first it was $10 for a pint of rice & $10 for a pint of beans ... then she said it was $6 dollars for a pint each. I didn't think menu prices fluctuated. Not a terrible place but I looked at the menu and it said around four dollars for a side. Maybe I was misunderstanding the price of the pint. But to my understanding it said on the menu sides of rice and beans $4 something. I paid $6 each .... The beans are amazing probably the best beans I've found anywhere !
