First of all the worker was really nice, but she didnt really listen to what we ordered, i ordered a plain sandwhich and she still put sauce and pickles on it so now i cant eat it. Last time I EVER eat at Jack in the Box. Spent $40 for the family and we threw nearly all of the meals in the trash. Greeted by an extremely rude black girl who obviously did not want to be there. We ended up going to Whataburger for our meal. Seems like ever since Covid, all the fast food places have gone downhill with crappy service and disgusting food. Threw my chicken sandwich, curly fries and 6 tacos in the trash after the first bite. Sandwich only had chicken on a stale bun - no cheese, lettuce or condiments. Very rude staff, absolutely horrible food and I am DONE with Jack in the Box. I was at the same restaurant a month before, ordered 6 tacos and threw them in the trash. Wish I could give it zero stars. Said the meat was fresh, they must have gone and killed the cow in the time it took to get our order. 30 minutes later we got our order and it was wrong. We tried to make the best out it and just eat it but it was disgusting. I spit it out. Do not recommend if you want it to be quick and tasty. This restaurant is the exact opposite!! read more

Don't get me wrong, I like Jack in the Box. I will just tend not to go to the one in Gilmer. I went the other evening around 5:00. It wasn't crowded. Employees there treated me as almost an afterthought. I guess the manager wasn't there. I ordered 3 burgers and fries and had to wait almost 15 minutes. Got home. The burgers were dry and the fries were cold. To be fair, morning breakfasts are hot and fresh. If you're in Gilmer, avoid the afternoon service. read more

I wish I could give zero stars to Jack in the Box! I ordered a fairly large order for a family of 5 tonight around 10:15pm. Drove 20 minutes to the restaurant and pressed the "Prepare My Order Now" button as I pulled into the parking lot since it indicates you need to give them 5-7 minutes and that you identify yourself to the drive thru. Only to find out, according to a small, inconspicuous sign that their hours are temporarily reduced to 10pm. I'm sure they're going to give me a hassle with a lie about not being able to change the hours in the app (which still shows 12am) or that they can't pause mobile orders (which is a lie because the other day when they had a promotion for a free sandwich for mobile only orders they had closed off mobile orders for that store individually). On the closing off orders note, that was strike one because it waited until after I had created the order and went to pay that it said the store was not accepting mobile orders temporarily. So they can close off mobile ordering if they don't want to give away free product, but not if they decide to close early and steal your money. My bank is currently holding $60 and if it's not refunded to me immediately I will consider all legal options for Jack in the Box's scam to steal money. read more

So after giving me the wrong meal I went by the next day. Instead of giving me the fries and the drink out of inconvenience they just gave me the burger. I don't understand why it's so hard to have good customer service. The workers need to build up their competency skills and learn how to take orders correctly. I'll try to be as clear to the point as I can be. This is far and above the worst place to eat in all of Gilmer, TX. Today was our second time visiting this specific location, and I will outline the saga. A few weeks back, my family and I were on a road trip to Tyler, and we stopped for lunch. Our food was cold, my chicken fajita pita had like 4 pieces of chicken in it, and was dry as a bone. My kids meals barely had any mustard on it, and overall, the food was gross. I actually emailed corporate through their website, and about 3 days later, got a nice representative who apologized and offered coupons for free food. I thought that was nice. So we were out driving around and at 11am we arrived on a Sunday. There was one couple sitting down eating, no one in the drive through, and one person in front of us in line ordering. We literally waited over 5 minutes for someone to come up front and take the gentleman's order in front of us, and even at that, they took forever getting it down. From the time we entered, until the time we finally gave up on them, it was 15 minutes. I could understand if there was a restaurant full of people, but there was not! The service is hideously slow, the staff seem ill-trained, and worst of all, while we were standing there, the shift manager walks in with her KFC in hand, looks around and goes straight to the office. Did not even flinch to come up front and start taking orders. This location seems to be under-staffed, and franky mismanaged. Did not make a good impression on us at all, and while they did not know that previously unsatisfied customers were standing in line, the fact is, if they operated this restaurant properly, they would not have to worry about it. Their meat lovers burrito? Is not! It barely had any meat, or cheese, or anything but egg and a dry tortilla shell!!! Plus, their phone number listed here is no good, it tells you that its no longer in service or has been disconnected! They still charge you full price for their food, that they barely put ingredients into! NO SIREEE!!! I tried calling them, and give them a second chance to correct their inability to make the correct burrito, but hey, since you cant call them, I'm going in person and WILL get them well informed of their mistakes! JITB food preparer... make no mistake... I'm not into your half baked comedy scheme here, that burrito was gonna be a vital part of my daily energy needs, but you screwed it up!
