Terrible experience. The quality of the food has completely gone downhill. The tacos were a mess...soggy, falling apart, and the "hard shell" had zero crunch. Fries were just as bad and barely cooked, limp, and greasy. It felt like the entire order was rushed through without fully cooking. Final straw with this location. read more

Honestly, what a horrible experience in the Jack in the Box drive-thru. I always roll my eyes when I have to review a chain, but come on. My sister and I went through the drive-thru on a weekday night after attending a funeral (it was around 9:00 PM - so not too late) and when we first entered the drive-thru we were abruptly 'greeted' by the employee. When my sister ordered she mentioned that was all, but had forgotten to order the rest of the food. She kindly said "I am sorry there is more we need to order" and the employee sighed and said 'go ahead'. Unfortunately, since we were already frazzled, it happened again and at this point the employee left and had a new employee talk to us.... When we got up to the window to get our food and pay.. the lady didn't even acknowledge us. She was looking past our car and basically we just handed our card over and that was it. I've been coming to the Glen Carbon location for years. I've seen the great to the horrible. During Covid, I took a break from JITB. It just wasn't cutting it. I live their menu, but service was not good. A couple of months ago, I came back. The food was decent, but service suffers from what appears to be understaffing. This store is in a busy location and has a very steady drive through business. If you are an inside customer, you tend to get forgotten or you get less than great service. Today I ordered the bacon Swiss butter burger combo with curly fries and I decided to try the spicy tiny tacos. The employee that took my order (maybe Chasity? She didn't have a name tag but the receipt had that name on it) was very friendly and provided great service as best she could. The food was perfect. I enjoyed the burger and tasted every ingredient. Sometimes the butter burger is drenched in butter, but today was perfect. The curly fries were hot and fresh. I really enjoyed the spicy tiny tacos. Just the right amount of kicked and crunch. Paired great with ranch. This tire has so much potential if they could just figure out staffing. The lobby was as clean as it could be at noon time with no employees checking on the cleanliness. We don't have many decent JITB's around here and having one that you can go to and k ow you will have a good experience would be awesome. This store should be that place. read more

Just waited in line for approximately 15min. Spent 8 of those minutes at the speaker waiting for someone to take our order. Never received service and ended up leaving. There was clearly workers there because they advised us that they would be with us yet never came back on the speaker. read more

Maybe this Jack in the box performs well during the daytime but their night shift is a mess. I work nights at a local hospital and about half the time I go here in the middle of my shift their fryer or grill is down, or they don't have all the ingredients to make want I want. read more

I was in and out within 5-10 minutes so no complaint on wait, but they didn't give me what I ordered. I ordered garlic fries, which are an unofficial menu item which I have been ordering for nearly two years. I told them exactly how to make it and how to ring it up because I know that a lot of employees do not know it exists. Also asked for redhot sauce more than once and did not receive it. Whenever I go around noon, I often have to go in because I did not get the correct order. They get you in and out quickly but do not care about getting you the correct items. read more

I think that Jack in the Box is a very good fast-food restaurant. When choosing a fast-food restaurant, you need one with taste, good customer service, affordable prices, etc. Jack in the Box have good customer service, cheap food, and as a bonus they are open 24/7. Every time I go to Jack in the Box past 10 o'clock they are always so nice and helpful. It is normally the same old lady working who could brighten anyone's day. A big thing for me is if the customer service is bad like the employees are rude or have an attitude I don't like going because I don't feel welcome. And I have never experienced that at Jack in the Box. It's the fact that past midnight they have crazy college students getting food and they are very patient for it being that late at night. Their cheap food is a good plus as well. Not many places you can get a good meal for under $10, but Jack in the Box you can. They have different food groups as well. They have Mexican, Chinese, and American. If you are a huge fan of having breakfast at night or don't wake up till noon and you want breakfast, they serve it all day. For me I would rather have breakfast at dinner than in the morning because it just hits different. For them being open 24/7 is such a good thing for them. In Edwardsville you can't find many places open that long and I believe Jack in the Box is the only place. While you have Taco Bell that closes at 2 am which isn't terrible. If I could suggest one thing from Jack in the box, I would for sure get the teriyaki bowl with a iced caramel sweet cream coffee that is my order anytime I go. read more

Wish I could give negative stars .. they shut down the grill for cleaning at 2 am. There were 5 cars in line behind me and more pulling in. I was told they closed a few days ago to take a break for half hour at 2 am . This is when everyone that works overnights is going to lunch so they are turning away 30 or more customers every night instead of waiting about a half hour to "clean the grill" . read more

Took me 20 - 25 minutes after placing my order for 2 tacos to get my food. Know wonder they put that curb in so you cannot drive off after placing your order at the speaker. Was taking on average 4 to 6 minutes per car in the drive thru. Girl taking orders at drive through was also trying to clear tables and was having a difficult time. Tacos were cold. I don't mean they sat out for 20 minutes cold but out right not cooked long enough cold. Will never go to this Jack In The Box again. read more
