Bubbakoo's is underrated; we really enjoy coming here. They have their own specials that come with certain ingredients or you can make your own creation. This trip I got their shrimp nachos which were loaded and delicious! My husband got a shrimp burrito, which he also enjoyed. We also ordered their boardwalk cookies (which are deep-fried Oreos with a caramel sauce and powdered sugar on top) so yummy! The good thing is since you can create your own creation, you can also customize your food to be vegan or dairy-free etc. Service was quick. There are a couple of tvs usually showing people performing extreme sports. There are a few booths and a few small tables inside. read more

Another great meal from Bubbakoo's Burritos! Today, I tried the Silly Philly Burrito and Nashville Fries. Everything is cooked fresh. The Nashville Fries were total fire! Flavor on top of flavor. I opted for pickles and ranch sauce. This is a portion big enough for 2 so don't let the price scare you. A huge mountain of curly fries covered in chicken, cheese sauce, Nashville sauce, chopped pickles and ranch! My only regret is I couldn't eat all of it, because I also had the Silly Philly Burrito to eat. This burrito also has great flavor. Fresh rice, seasoned thin cut steak with peppers, onions , and cheese sauce. I feel like my reviews seem biased, but when you're putting this level of food out, with friendly service in a pleasing environment, I'm and going to support it. New, clean place with lots of interesting (maybe different to some) menu items to try out. Service was fast. I love that the chicken is shredded, and flavorful. They just opened near me about a month ago and I've already been here twice. I honestly don't know the best way to review them. Let's start with the positives: very friendly staff and management as they are enthused to share what the hottest menu items are. Plus their prices are reasonable, compared to say...Chipotle. As far as food, they have the right idea, with the Asian/Mexican fusion, as I love smothered fries with queso and whatever meat. But I feel like everything is oversalted and too much spice on some items. One of them being the Nashville Hot fries. Speaking of fries, they only have the curly fries so I hope that that's your thing. I had never hear of Bubbakoo's until now, as apparently they are a national chain. Welcome to Glen Carbon. Walking in you can't help to notice the TV's that have sports on like skateboarding. It was clean & bright. The menu boards with pictures helped with trying to figure out what to order. The guys behind the counter explained what each item was ( his English was a bit difficult to understand) but we got what he was saying. Our food was very tasty . This will definitely be replacing any classic fast food chain in my regular rotation. Out of this world burritos at the same price, if not cheaper, than any fast food with higher quality ingredients. I really love the General Tso burrito. I have had it twice and regretted not buying a a second one. The service was fantastic. I ordered, paid, ate, and left all within 15mins. Almost didn't try this place in edwardsville due to some of the prior reviews. Sooo glad we decided to see for ourselves. We had 3 In our group. All agreed the food was not bland at all. We had the General Tsos tacos with pineapple salsa, Nashville Hot Chiwawa, Silly Philly burrito and a Hibachi burrito. Everything was fresh, hot and the service was great. My guacamole bowl was part of a large group order. Everything was packaged really well and included the kitchen slip so we could see exactly what was in each item. This is much easier when ordering as a group instead of having to open everything up individually to see what belongs to whom. I appreciate that. Also, the order was correct. This is unusual when placing an order for 12 to 15 people. Usually, something is left out. However, they got it right, 100%. Unfortunately, there wasn't much flavor in the food. Everything was pretty bland and lacked any heat whatsoever. I didn't even detect salt in the guacamole or black beans. Just super plain. Doordashed an order and was pleased by the care the restaurant takes ensuring the food isn't tampered with (properly sealed) and they provided cutlery and napkins. Sweet message on the order bag even to enjoy the food. I appreciate that touch. However beyond that, the food was simply average. Ordered the buffalo crispy chicken burrito, beef quesarito burrito, crispy chicken ghost pepper burrito, and beef queso curly fries. The queso curly fries were the best part of the meal, easily can feed 2 adults. The crispy chicken was really disappointing. I had to check my burrito to make sure it was actually fried and my husband said the same about his crispy chicken burrito, it didn't taste fried at all. Just not what you would expect from the description. Barely a coating and chicken was soggy. The burritos were primarily stuffed with unseasoned rice. $77 dollars after all is said and done for 4 burritos and a side of fries on DoorDash, I will make my next burrito at home. Would honestly do 4.5 if possible, but am happy giving this location a 5 star review. Staff was very kind and welcoming and food was great. Only complaint was that my boyfriend's chicken seemed like it had been sitting out for a while but my chicken was fresh from the grill so they only lose half a star. He recommends the chipotle crema, I thought all toppings were great and portions were generous. Also was very pleased with the way that the bowl is built, starting with a nice layer of rice and then all of the toppings spread out beautifully layer by layer. We saw both the men's and women's bathroom and both felt that it was truly cleaned and there was a check list on the wall discussing the last time it had been checked and wiped and sanitized. The price was great for the amount of food and they gave a free water cup. It was very out of the way so probably won't be back soon but would definitely recommend. read more

The food was awesome. The service for the most part was awesome. However, I was taken aback by the rudeness of either a manager towards an employee or an owner towards an employee. The employee was fixing my lunch for me, and the manager was not satisfied with how fast the employee was moving and ripped condiment out of her hand and applied herself. It was quite upsetting, and I did not appreciate that at all.
